Hamun I recognize a distinction between spamming the same move and keeping someone out and forcing them to make a mistake. I love spammers. They're very easy to beat.
I'll grant you that the chip damage you have to take on block from Starfire in this game is pretty ridiculous, but to win a major takes a lot of skill. Regardless of the character/playstyle.

Felix Ramos How do you learn to deal with Zoning, both technically and perhaps more importantly mentally? I get so annoyed by that style (especially online where so often its 156ms)

aFuturnaught True you can meter burn dash. But once you corner them they can do it to. A lot of zoners have ways to escape the corner for free sadly. Especially after all the work to slowly put them there is mind breaking.

@@boominaughty9531 nah, I rarely encounter zoners. And when I do, I counter them with cold. People who say ij2 is COD are just bad at the game or don't enjoy watching certain pros zone. Also street fighter is trash, others are good but prefer MK9 over MKX.
Surprisingly a very interesting Top 8, even more interesting than Combo Breaker's Top 8. All 8 players are amazing. I didn't expect Semiij to finally get it. So happy for him but don't insult Tweedy. He knows ton of matchups, not just zoning. He deserved a high place

Well in this case the answer is in the first comment, I simply don't enjoy most of these fights so I go on UA-cam where I can skip anything with Starfire/Batman/Aquaman/etc. And I prefer UA-cam over Twitch VODs.
For games I actually enjoy I prefer to watch them live on Twitch.

It just seemed like the guys in CEO 2018, the winners get two rounds and then the opponent just gives up.
Whenever people say MK11 isn't balanced well, point them to Injustice 2 tournament footage. If you were willing to zone like your life depended on it then your opponent really had no choice but to counterpick with another zoner, and notice how Tweedy isn't winning any tournaments these days - even Dragon, one of the top 3 players in the world, doesn't look like this when he plays his main, Cetrion, because most other top tiers can trade projectiles well enough, and the projectile frame data is more balanced so that it isn't incredibly difficult to punish thoughtless projectiles with teleports or "fuck neutral moves."
(Note, this comment may or may not age well depending on what they do to Sheeva's Stomp, now that people have won tournaments with it.)

Here's hoping Injustice 3 will completely change the moveset for Superman, Dr Fate and other zoners. The footsies and mixups are actually fun with the character traits but the zoners killed both games imo.

L I hear you, the game is actually pretty good tho but there are a lot of faults like zoning, people that only run away all match and zone , and a toxic community but you’ll find these things everywhere you go no different here

i mean when you see pro players in a tournament zoning the entire game and just winning tournaments like that, people are going to conform even more with zoning and running away cause it gets the win, and the pro players do it too... i mean in no other fighting game there is this much zoning or ridiculous plus frames like some characters do, and the down 1's into full combos is just the cherry on top of the cake...dont get me wrong i played this game for a long time, but after realising these many flaws it just stoped being enjoyable to me, i got tired of being cheesed and mostly annoyed cause i couldnt pick my favorite characters like robin or flash without playing a cat and mouse game the entire set with people doing nothing more than zoning, and 70% of the match i had to chase them...

I agree. I play Black Adam (I2 forces you to have pocket top tier just to compete) and it's anti-hype to just trait and win. That's something NRS needs tweak for future games. No instant/guaranteed wins, have it take you to a magic pixel of health; if you forget no more guaranteed wins or mess up, BAM, that person makes a comeback with only .1% health. Also, it's like each game they either go too much rushdown or too much projectile pew pewing. This game's stupidity started with Deadshot and ends with Starfire... Zzzzz
The only characters that really do "broken" chip damage are Starfire and...oh, just her.

Honeybee could done better if he stop practicing inj with his patreons and train with real competitors and high level players. His patreons are good, not gonna lie, but most of them are flash mains lol. Only magiqman is a real threat there.
Dunsparce Del Toro Tweedy is okay. He is DEFINTELY being carried. Semijj Rewind and Sonic are examples of people who are actually good, playing multiple different characters at a high level and winning. And arent being carried. Tweedy was a brain dead Sups player and then switched to Fate and Starfire. He doesnt deserve ANY respect. Hes playing to win and thats fine But that doesnt negate the cheap. Hes being carried.

Wise King nah I completely agree with you. This game is littered with zoners. I'm not against different playstyles, but when most of the top characters of the game are zoners, it's only gonna result in boring ass gameplay.
