In this set of instructions, you will create a shortcut that automatically lets someone know that you are on your way home. This is very useful to keep roommates, parents and partners up to date by sending an automatically calculated estimated time of arrival text messaged to them.
In the Shortcuts App, tap the '+' sign to start a new shortcut. 
Add 'Street Address'. Put in your home address.
Add ‘Get Travel Time’.
Have the first blank say ‘Driving’.
The second blank should say ‘Current Location’.
For the third blank, 'Street Address' should automatically be selected.
Add ‘Send Message’.
Tap on the edge of the first blank. Pull up the keyboard and use the arrow keys to delete what is there.
Now create a message to send your friend/partner. "I'm on my way home. ETA ".
On the Variable selection bar, tap 'ETA'.
When the menu pops up, change ETA to 'Arrival time'. 
Then tap Recipients and add who you want to send the message to. It's not a bad idea to choose yourself to start with, so you can test it and not annoy your loved ones.
Make sure ‘Show When Run’ isn't toggled under ‘Show More’.
Add ‘Play/Pause’ to the bottom to start your last played music or podcast on your device. 
Add ‘Show Directions’.
Choose driving (or your preferred mode of transportation).
Then change the option to where you are heading. You will need to type in your address.
Choose which Map app you want to use with the 3rd blank (if you have them on your iPad/iPhone).
Touch ‘…’ at top, name it and select any other options. Tap ‘Done’.
Run from widget or home screen icon you create.
