Honestly, if you take out the first line, their entire song has nothing else to do with Christmas.
The lyrics for Heat Miser don't rhyme degrees with degrees, that part of the song in particular goes "I never want to know a day that's under sixty degrees, I'd rather have eighty, ninety, one hundreds a breeze!". You can go look at the official lyrics from like 1960-whenever, and if I'm not mistaken it will show it.
That makes a little more sense.
But still, in any remake of the song, it seems to have been lost in translation.
Gooseworx I totally agree, aside from the original version I've always heard it sung degrees and degrees. Something that was lost over the years and years of covers I suppose. I found it funny how it was in the beginning of the animation because as a kid I always remember second guessing myself on that particular lyric and finding the idea of degrees rhyming with degrees distasteful as well!

Just for reference, this song is nearly 50 years old and its STILL fantastic.
Let that sink in.... A song written 5p uears ago for a mediocer holiday special managed to essentially make the movie better that most specials at the time and this number is still being remembered too this day, and I cant rememeber any of the new songs Disney added to their reboot movies...

Anyway, this cover itself is wonderful. The deep bass, bright and cheery brass and what sounds like an organ, combined with the upbeat tempo, the occasional electric guitar strum - I just love this so much. Merry Christmas, Goose! Thanks for another great upload!~

More than 40 years after the film's debut, Laws said he still gets grown-up fans ringing his doorbell asking if he wrote the Miser Brothers tunes.
