Bill cowher in the 90s won 3 straight years in the playoffs with 3 different Qbs. O’Donnell in 95’ Tomzach in 96’ and Stewart in 97’. Big reason why he’s in the hall of fame . Really miss his coaching style , The current Steelers need new direction.
This was a game at halftime with the Colts actually leading 14-13. Cowher must have been spitting all over the place in the locker room because a total demolition via the Steelers in the 2nd half. 42-14 final. Total yards: PIT: 407 IND: 146.
John Easton no he was too raw, and O’Donnell was actually a lot better than people give him credit for, also only one of the picks was his fault the second one was an inexperienced receiver running the wrong route.
John Easton 1995 17 touchdowns to 7 picks, only threw a pick on 1.7 percent of his passes, you’re really using selective memory, he was basically Alex Smith of the 90s, to act like he was some monstrosity at QB is to be intellectually dishonest, don’t get mad at O’Donnell because the Steelers gaffed like a lot of other teams when they didn’t draft Marino
@@anonymousanonymity2815 Marino went to Pitt it and the Steelers had no QB at the time it was obvious even at the time that the Steelers should have drafted Marino. Say what you want about Harbaugh, but he DEFINITELY earned my respect as a player during his tenure with the Colts. He proved himself a true TOUGH GUY quarterback (the kind that we have always loved here in the Baltimore-Washington region; he was here with the Ravens briefly). He wasn't pretty, but he wasn't a prima donna. He was a true leader who would give his all until the clocked reach 00:00. This game definitely cemented his reputation as a tough guy because the Steelers hit him in the mouth--LITERALLY--right from the get-go, and then proceeded to beat him from one end of Three Rivers Stadium to the other for the next three hours. I swear that after that game and for the rest of the week, everybody that saw that game--even the sportswriters, commentators, and other players--was like, "God, I felt so bad for him." The thing I always remembered about this game was that shot of him standing on the sidelines and spitting out blood at 6:25. Honestly, I always felt that shot was one that defined him as a QB. If I remember correctly, his first was born immediately after the game, and I think he was interviewed the next week holding the newborn, but his own mouth was still swollen from the dental surgery.
1:55:41 No they didn't give Chad Brown a contract. He went to Seattle and had some very good years there. He came back to Pittsburgh as a used up player for 1 year. Garbage time of his career. 2:10:52 is a great advertisement for Flexall 454. Those guys needed it.😆

Woodson tore his knee in 95 openor and was never same Greene left after 95 inexplicably as he wanted to stay... Chad Brown had an all pro 96 season and went to Seattle My bliztburg d was gone!!!
A couple of squads have equaled both the Patriots and Colts post season games vs Pittsburgh historically and 2 surpass them .6 games vs Raiders and Broncos ,3 vs Houston oilers /1 time as Tennessee Titans after team relocation for total of 4 then Baltimore Ravens 4 times , Miami Dolphins 4 times and 3 SB games vs Cowboys .
This game was Chad Browns picaso or sisteen chapel. He was a monster in this game. The only game he may have been better was the game against the Bengals this same year when he had 4.5 sacks.
Neil was a good quarterback for the steelers they should have kept him But in 96 they should have just started kordell because that's what they plan to do anyway they basically shipped that season. It's a bummer because that was a Super Bowl team up-and-down the roster in all spots but quarterback
Yeah some Steeler fans bitch about ODonnell but if he's on that 1996 team along with that great running game with Bettis they probably atleast get to the AFC Championship game and dont get smoked by the Patriots in the Foxboro fog.
I'm not sure if this replies to you but we don't even play the patriots that year because we probably win the number 1 or 2 seed and don't even play them till the championship game if they get there
@@RotiPani75 Yeah i agree. Our running game wasnt even that good in 1995 and Odonnell and the passing game took us to the SB. I'm not sure Our defense was strong in 1996 but it still missed both Lloyd, who was out for the season, and Kevin Greene, who left in free agency.

In 1996? Yeah probably because Lloyd blew his ACL out and was never the same and Gildon stepped in for a departed Kevin Greene in 1996 and did a very solid job. He didnt turn into a good LOLB until 1998 or 1999 though.

Tomlin is a joke
Cowher also won playoff games with Tommy Maddox and Roethlisberger. That makes 5 different QBs.

Wow the Steelers went 10-6 with mike freaking Tomzack, can we all just appreciate that?
Stewart should have been the QB since 95 if he was QB instead of O'Donnell they might have beat the Cowboys in the Super Bowl.
John Easton no he was too raw, and O’Donnell was actually a lot better than people give him credit for, also only one of the picks was his fault the second one was an inexperienced receiver running the wrong route.

Man that Yellow End Zone at Tres Riveras was a good look.
Yeah
Yessss! I love it. Totally 90s
It truly was. The last time Heinz Field had yellow endzones was in 2001, and those looked sharp.
Love Dick Enberg. The best commentator. Loved it when him and Paul McGuire were together
Even as a player, Jim Harbaugh threw temper tantrums.
Turned out to not be a classic like the 95’ championship game.
Sequels aren’t as good as the first game. Colts kept it close early on, but the magic of 1995 was gone.

How do you have quarterback controversy in the playoffs?
Kordell balled out
Should've drafted Marino
Bart do you have the 95 AFC championship? Colts at Steelers
1 the division and the playoff game with Mike tomczak at quarterback

yep, going to post it in the next few days
