Some things that I do while test taking that really helps, 1. I glance through the entire question paper first and decide what I'll answer first and what I'd leave for last 2. I carry a cup of coffee/tea to keep me energised 3. I wear the same watch that I use when I study so that it's easier to get into the flow state 4. I never omit a question unless there's a negative marking, there's always scope to get scores 5. I listen to a hype playlist on my way to school 6. Last-minute revision in the 'golden time' is too underrated, I make a revision sheet when I study before taking exams which has played a major role in boosting my marks
@@BLUE7725-l4q I assume the commenter means: Unless you get point deductions for getting questions wrong, always try your best on questions, even if you're not sure what the answer is. Putting something down can potentially earn points, so it's better than putting nothing down.
Ur tips are nice but the last one how do u make revision sheets? We literally have so much to learn and how can we dump it on the paper like how? Can u please tell me how do u make ur revision sheet?
i have my test on fluid mechanics tomorrow and these really helped. my exams have negative marking, +4 for a correct answer and -1 for a wrong one. the blank slate tip is very useful for conceptual questions. the dumping thing, i have been doing for my theory exams. i always try to draw a neat diagram, especially for mechanics and optics. one other thing i do is to skip questions i find hard and just answer them later. after finishing the easy ones, i go to the washroom( take a small walk), drink water, take deep breathes and then come back to pick my brain on the hard ones
I'm not sure why l sometimes stress out during a quiz, l feel anxious and scared because l wanted to get a good score for my parents who work so hard for me and my sibling to get a good quality of education. Even though l know that they are not mad or angry as long as l did my best , but sometimes we forget that trying counts. I rewatch your studying and motivating videos multiple times , they remind me why l should work hard and not to overwork myself . If l feel lazy and l feel that l need to find someone to motivate me or remind me that l should keep working for the ones l love. That's why l watch your channel and feel motivated for the ones l love, so thank you Amy
dumping everything you know for one question will definitely help you pass. not just for writing questions also for T or F questions write a paragraph on why u picked that answer show your teacher that you understand and you know everything
You know sometimes the really best thing that can happen to you is that you have a good teacher who actually teaches nice. If you have one, it is such a blessing
one strat i learned was that for two part questions, especially in reading tests, you should always compare you answers to see if they have similar or maybe the same words📝✏ *oh yeah, WE GOT THE SILVER BUTTON!!!! congrats amy! 🥳🥳
You are so intelligent. My exam is coming up in the next 2 weeks. I was struggling to finish my math test on time that I had to write the answer approximately. That reduced my grades. I think this video will help me for the next test. Thank you. Love you

Hi Amy. The first tip you said was actually true and this is the first youtuber i watch who have mentioned it. To be honest that's a trick I use to usually to score marks I usually overdeliver a lot of content and that actually gets you marks. If you don't know a answer just write all the thing related to that question and then you might actually score marks I know that like from 6th.Also love your videos you actually tell some relevant points instead of study for 4 hours.
I think that now I'm gonna ace all my upcoming tests!! I love how your videos ALWAYS motivate me and it has made things so much better and easier! CONGRATS for 102K subscribers...I'm so glad I'm one of them!
I'm one of those people who'd have trouble with essay type questions because I won't know were to stop and end up putting most of my time and effort into the first one I attempt and not have enough time to do justice to the other questions. What helped me overcome this problem was answering the questions I know the least about first. That put my mind in the right frame to be efficient rather than ramble. And another thing to remember is, in case of essay type tests, scoring above average in all the questions you're supposed to answer gives you a higher total score than answering one really well and the others below average.

Ms. Amy, I came across your interesting comment on 'Affirmative Action", which some argue is antithetical to a wholly merit-based society. To me, college education is limited like a greenhouse or an existence in a simulator, because in real life, the concept of "in group think" is so widely prevalent and the variables involved also far more nuanced ... also, how is it that certain countries have been around for 5,000 years and yet they could not get it right, relatively speaking so that they had to move to another new and more upstart countries which were open to receiving them, is that akin to affirmative action by chance at the level of nation-state concept ... things that make you go 'hmm, huh! Btw, on a grander scale, we are all on God's affirmative action, but that is a topic for another occasion!
Everyone is talking about how demotivated they are for tests! Being surrounded by negative thoughts before the exam is a reason in itself that makes you stress out aswell. The funny thing is, my problem with tests is being extremely overconfident and forgetting where to use which key words 😂😂 at any case, this video helped me alot! + congrats on 304k wohooo !!!!

Hi, Amy, with a BS Chemical Engineering & 4.0 GPA from Caltech, do you have the option of all of the four possibilities or not: JD or MBA or MD or PhD on your next move?
I personally think that school/university is a game for grade and exams are stupid. For example, if you are a medical student when you graduate and get to your profession, you are not going to figure out what Vitamin/supplement you need to take. The internet will be there, you are going to rely on it to determine what supplement you need to take or Vitamins. In the Fall of 2023 semester, I had a Nutrition 295 instructor that did not give a crap that we look up answers on the internet. He had us do the exams at home with no Lockdown Browser or him caring whatsoever if we look up the answers, he cared more about our Diet Analysis where you write about your own diet and bibliography. He was such an easy grader, he even gave me full credit on my Mind tap total so I can finish the course with an A when my averages was like 88%.
hi Amy do you know any apps that has pratice questions for different subjects that is free to use? I keep revising what's in my book and i don't think that will bring me anywhere as i think that i should try new things and bring my mind across different types of questions.
I alwyas study VERY VERY much before exams, but when they are just around the corner i feel like I dont know anything. This makes me stressed even before the exam has started and during the test i make lots of misses that i normally know but i fail them just cuz the stress. Often it happens that i dont know anything even tough i hav done similar queations before. Its like my brain isnt in creative mode, its blocked. And that makes me VERY much more stressed then when i try to calm myself down it doesnt work cuz i start thinking about how much time i waste. Pls help me man :C Do u have any suggestions or sum?? I get D or C even tough my knowledge is enough for A and worst of all is that i feel like all my hard work has gone to waste 😢
I always stay until the very end of the test. So many times I had 1 or 2 questions which I didn’t know how to answer. So I would finish the rest first and then take all my time to find any suitable solution to hard questions. A lot of times the answer comes very last minute😂.
so..My finals are coming up and I missed a week of school so i missed a lot of revesion.. any tips on how to catch up wid class in terms of practice and revesion..? I really need to speed up. Also..Is it possible for like personal life to affect your studies like..dis video did talk a lot about self confidence but something tragic may keep supressing my selfconfidence..so any opinions or tips to tackle such issues?

Yes! Agree with this tip :)
@@wamyy5 i also do these tips every exam 😅
summary man??
Unfortunately for English comprehension, if I brain dump the teachers are going to write excess denied and penalise me for it😭
