      Just be real, people who think gear makes all the difference are likely amateurs. This is coming from a drummer of 20 years. It's amazing to me how many young and aspiring musicians think that gear will make them better.

    i love this video. not as many UA-camrs care about production quality but this platform is more popular than network television nowadays, so why shouldn't we invest in improving our channels? always appreciated the quality of your uploads my man!

    I recently ordered my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio Bundle Pack (3rd gen) and Lewitt DTP 340 Rex (for kick drum) to start making drum covers, and this tips and advices are so great. I think it's good time to invest on budget led lamps to light my videos

    Great job!! Very informative! people say my videos sound & look good. Not bad for a couple cell phones an irig & some tweaking my dtx 502 yamaha edrums sound. also love my 12" snare..my favorite!!

    Awesome! I learned some of this through trial and error (and pretty good gear). This is the most comprehensive video I've found, however. Still trying to figure out how to get a cell phone on a tripod to NOT shake when playing.

    Very inspiring video!! Your advices brighten my taughts! I make drum videos all the time on internet and I struggled a long time to fix many of the points you talked about. I'm slowly acquiring enough knowledge on mixing, miking, filming and everything else to say that I'm happy about my content.

    Thank you for the tips. Although, I have to say I can't even afford like a couple of mics and a 2 way interface. My main problem now is the sound quality and camera. Because I have only 1 iphone and I use it like a drum cam and the sound is recorded from the iphone itself. I use Imovie to make the sound quality a little bit better.

    How do I make my Druns sound good in a basement room.. It doesn't sound the same as when I recorded on my phone. I don't know if you're sending on my phone I should be turning down. Or turning the eq's up on the ambience I'm not sure I just thought I would ask if anyone knows thank you.. 🥁💜🌹

    Awsome suggestions bro! One thing I see differently, and it’s personal, but I think we should aim to have our best shot on the first take. What I mean by that is that I think we should visualize, practice and be relaxed as much as possible when we perform in general. We want to document our « humanity » our genuine energy etc.
    My two cents. That being said, man you are providing valuable tips, you are an awsome communicator, and you are super dynamic.
    Thanks and I just subscribe, I just worked on my drum room and will follow your recommendations moving forward!

    Great video, do you have any advice on getting started on UA-cam? I'm looking to record lessons, but I'd rather focus on content before worrying about buying lights and a updated camera. Basically, trying to make my first video not look like it was recorded 10 years ago haha.
