Ok I lost it at 5:03 with the sarcastic comment section joke and the middle finger 🤣 I love this guy already and this is the first video of his I've seen. One more sub from me! 🤣
Just be real, people who think gear makes all the difference are likely amateurs. This is coming from a drummer of 20 years. It's amazing to me how many young and aspiring musicians think that gear will make them better.
I'm a drummer and I'm starting to make videos now. Thank you for this vid it was really helpful and I want you to know that I really take inspiration from your covers. Thanks heaps.
This video single handedly remotivated me to do a complete rehaul on my live drumming stream setup and consider new and different ways for me to get content out. You rock man.
Outstanding video, Adam! As someone who has followed you and looked up to your content for many years, it’s great to hear your thoughts and advice for making drum videos better. As I’ve seen your channel grow over the years and see you pump out higher and higher quality videos, it’s inspiring me to strive for more within my channel. This video is jam packed with great advice and it’s something I will come back to and reference. Thanks for everything you do for the drum community, Adam. Cheers! -Ryan
Awesome video dude! Your personality really comes through on this! The tips were great, but I really enjoyed your delivery! Middle finger in the beard! 😂 lmao
Thank you Orlando Drummer for this great video. I especially like the advice about getting past the masterpiece mentality and keeping the long-term in mind and moving forward consistently! Thanks again @12:45
i love this video. not as many UA-camrs care about production quality but this platform is more popular than network television nowadays, so why shouldn't we invest in improving our channels? always appreciated the quality of your uploads my man!
I watched this video a long time ago and picked up some great tips from it. I have a project I’m working on now and I’d like to step it up a bit so I revisited this. Thank you so much for sharing all of this!
I recently ordered my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio Bundle Pack (3rd gen) and Lewitt DTP 340 Rex (for kick drum) to start making drum covers, and this tips and advices are so great. I think it's good time to invest on budget led lamps to light my videos
Great job!! Very informative! people say my videos sound & look good. Not bad for a couple cell phones an irig & some tweaking my dtx 502 yamaha edrums sound. also love my 12" snare..my favorite!!
This was great to watch. It's nice to know some of these tips I knew naturally from the jump of making content. The "One Up Syndrome" is what really struck a chord within me. Much thanks man !! \m/
Awesome! I learned some of this through trial and error (and pretty good gear). This is the most comprehensive video I've found, however. Still trying to figure out how to get a cell phone on a tripod to NOT shake when playing.
This was extremely helpful man!!! I'm just starting out on TikTok and I feel like I'm making progress, but I'm confident these tips will really help me. FYI ... You come across as a genuine awesome dude. Thanks for making this!
Very inspiring video!! Your advices brighten my taughts! I make drum videos all the time on internet and I struggled a long time to fix many of the points you talked about. I'm slowly acquiring enough knowledge on mixing, miking, filming and everything else to say that I'm happy about my content.
Wonderful. All around really great. Thank you. Found you as I became lost in UA-cam. I am embarking on a NEW adventure for me - Online instruction. Was asked recently to offer a program for an international college on Hand Drumming and well wish me luck. Really appretiate your ease and accessability. Lots of great take aways from each of your videos I have been lucky to see. Wishing you great and continued success!!!
Thank you for the tips. Although, I have to say I can't even afford like a couple of mics and a 2 way interface. My main problem now is the sound quality and camera. Because I have only 1 iphone and I use it like a drum cam and the sound is recorded from the iphone itself. I use Imovie to make the sound quality a little bit better.
This video is exactly what I needed! I'm in the process of planning a total reinvention of my channel. I'll be watching this video quite a few more times.
Very helpful information here. Thank you for sharing. I especially like your reminder that striving for absolute perfection EVERY TIME can slow you down. Great stuff.
awesome I'm in the process of making a video and man you helped out a lot. thanks. and I'm only doing beginner lessons so i'll be directing possible students to your page for the advanced lessons. i hope you don't mind
How do I make my Druns sound good in a basement room.. It doesn't sound the same as when I recorded on my phone. I don't know if you're sending on my phone I should be turning down. Or turning the eq's up on the ambience I'm not sure I just thought I would ask if anyone knows thank you.. 🥁💜🌹
Awsome suggestions bro! One thing I see differently, and it’s personal, but I think we should aim to have our best shot on the first take. What I mean by that is that I think we should visualize, practice and be relaxed as much as possible when we perform in general. We want to document our « humanity » our genuine energy etc. My two cents. That being said, man you are providing valuable tips, you are an awsome communicator, and you are super dynamic. Thanks and I just subscribe, I just worked on my drum room and will follow your recommendations moving forward! Don’t look at my stuff, I sucklkkkkk
Great video, do you have any advice on getting started on UA-cam? I'm looking to record lessons, but I'd rather focus on content before worrying about buying lights and a updated camera. Basically, trying to make my first video not look like it was recorded 10 years ago haha.
This dude is disciplined. Very admirable. This is a fantastic video. It really is no wonder why he's one of the best drum channels on YT.
Ok I lost it at 5:03 with the sarcastic comment section joke and the middle finger 🤣 I love this guy already and this is the first video of his I've seen. One more sub from me! 🤣

Love the subtle finger to all the peanut gallery pros lmao

@@andrewheartsu But gear will definitely motivate you to an extent and it adds in enjoyment
@@cx777o I feel you but you slowly upgrade, don't let it be the thing that holds you back.
@@andrewheartsu definitely, you need to also be able to play good on a bad kit haha
I'm a drummer and I'm starting to make videos now. Thank you for this vid it was really helpful and I want you to know that I really take inspiration from your covers. Thanks heaps.

Great inspiring video Adam! Do you have any tips for framing a kit that has to be facing a wall?
