Comfortable mention how much you spent? I'm 38 and only two years ago could I afford my 01' Celica GT-S $8K but with all the stuff I fixed/upgraded it's now at $14K. I REALLY wanted one of these instead, but I need a daily opposite my Supra and the 6th gen is INCREDIBLY expensive at least here in Oregon. She looks amazing. You better keep her in amazing shape and enjoy her :)
I’ll try my best aha, price wise I mention in the video & here in the UK most GT-Fours have over 130K miles what’s quite a lot. Mines got 99700KMs what’s just under 62K miles. The Gen 6 is my favourite celica with the gen 5 in a very close 2nd
Nice to see a new video about the st205 gt4. Would love to see more. Especially how the anti lag works on this car. It's allmost impossible to find any information or guidance to either install or activate it. Then there's also the water cooling, sprinklers to cool the motor down. Thanks for the video, best of luck with your car 👍🏻
Hello mate, I have been enjoying your Scirocco content, I am also modifying my Scirocco on my channel, I also used to have a Celica GT4, a 185 Carlos Sainz, I had mine at 20 too, although I sold that car years ago now, so I'm interested to see how your one goes.
Thank you mate, honestly the plans with the GT-Four are big but I’m not in any rush with it yet. Trying to find parts & actually fitting it to these are a nightmare. Glad you enjoy 🙌🏽
Great video, looking forward to seeing more! You got a screaming-good deal on this car for 7800. Even after the repairs. Here's a bunch of answers to your questions in the video: Regarding the hood air vents, the top middle and two back are for getting hot air up and out of the engine bay, not feeding cool air in. Yes, that does mean there is an issue keeping the intercooler water from filling with heat (called a "heat soak" condition) but that isn't an issue for a road car since it's not being driven hard for multiple hours, and in a race car there's enough air coming in the front that it's ok. Front mounted intercooler replacements are relatively popular on this car though, for that reason. The big center hood grill is blocked on the road car by bonnet insulation and a rain gutter tray so the engine doesn't get rained on, but in a race car those would be removed for better heat removal from the engine bay. There are two more intakes to speak of. The little circle one next to the big hood grill is a timing belt cooler. I've never heard of timing belts overheating but with this car you never will, haha. There is one more hidden intake. Underneath the engine in on the left there is an underside intake that comes up and feeds cool air to the alternator. Hope that helps explain all the intakes. Enjoy the new car! It's a fun one. BTW: If you are starting to push horsepower, you will be limited to about 330hp before you need to replace your fuel delivery system (fuel pump/fuel rail/injectors) in order to deliver enough fuel to avoid going lean with all the air the turbo is pushing in. Protip, I'm told the supra mk4 OEM fuel pump is plug and play for this car and can push more fuel. I sent you an email about your turbo recirculator valve. I'm interested in buying a used one when you get a blowoff valve to replace it. I own a 99 GT-Four in white. Lastly, the reason your rear spoiler isn't the one you like is that they had a smaller OEM spoiler for the middle years. The big wing was replaced with a smaller flatter spoiler for the 1995/96 model years and I think came back with slight differences for the 97 and later years. (riser blocks are all black on the 94 ones, painted on the later ones). So your car probably has an aftermarket one because it never had the OEM wing in the first place.
Thank you for that, as I said infomation is scarce for these cars but you answered all my questions. I did reply to your email aswell. If you have Instagram I’d love to see some pics of yours👌🏽
Keep up the ST205 vids I plan on getting one in the next few months, its my dream JDM car that is actually obtainable. You should make a vid of things you should replace when first getting one and stuff to check.
Nice you see someone Young interested in these. If it's a ct26 will be a standard turbo, therefore can raise boost to approx. 1.1bar is maximum. Unfortunately you will not be getting 440 bhp out of a standard engine car, at a push 320-330 bhp (fly) before they start to let go, this is a 30+ year old designed engine. I've had mine for nearly 20 years, great car and really well built car and great fun on the back roads
Good to know. I feel like everything I read on the internet about these cars there’s about 80 different answers to the question I’m after. Not much info on them. Good to know about the turbo aswell. Thank you for the infomation👌🏽👌🏽
You are so fortunate to have one here in France they are 40000€ for a good one I might look at Japan 🇯🇵 import one or UK 🇬🇧 ☺️ I have a red st202 6th gen since July 2020 and gradually and slowly restoring it already the mechanical side of things my good daily I have a few mechanical fixing to do and the biggest is bodywork.
As always I hope you enjoyed this video & the reveal of the new car. Got a vast list of mods and ideas I’d like to do with this car. If you’re worried about the scirocco disappearing… don’t, it’s not going anywhere 👌🏽
Those 3 spokes are 🤌🏼 do you have a cold air feed to your alternator? Where abouts in the UK are you? Will need to get our 3sgte motors together before I sell mine 😂
I agree with you on the spoiler. I think it looks a bit naff. Mine came with the MR2 spoiler factory fitted from new as I understand it) and I much prefer the look. I’ve thought about getting the proper big GTfour spoiler but I simply dont like the look of it.

Send me some pictures through on Instagram. Love looking at others GT-Fours

Thank you for your kind words mate. Got plenty of ideas and videos already being made for this car. Can’t wait👌🏽
Excellent video mate looking forward to this series!
Thank you mate, hope you enjoyed

That’s a good idea actually. I have my fair share of stuff I looked out for like the obvious weilding and what not, I will get one out for you

40000€?? That’s crazy😮. Send me some pictures on Instagram if you can. Would love too see the build
Under 60k miles, My GT4 (owned since 1999) has 240K, you will love this car! Look after it, and it will make you smile everyday.
Can’t see this smile fading away anytime soon driving it. Still got a fair few issues but nothing too bad
As always I hope you enjoyed this video & the reveal of the new car.

I guess that’s what that bonnet vent is for then aha, it makes sense now.
I’m near Wolvohampton but this will be going to a few meets this year 👌🏽
@ElliotHarris03 keep an eye out for the Retro Toyota meet this year, it's not too far from you.
Keep it stock and ignore the 3 spoke haters! Had mine over 25 years now
