This feature is keeping my amp on for 5min as well until it fully powers down, can I disable this feature? Causing my subs to pop when it finally shuts down because the amp has power when it shouldn't. Any ideas?
Interesting. I'm under the impression the output (screen and audio) power off with the ignition and it just stays on in sort of sleep state. I have a JBL amp in my car but it turns off with the ignition anyway so I guess I wouldn't have noticed if the output was still active but I'm surprised if it is. But also- why in earth does your amp stay on without the key in? Will it stay on indefinitely if there's a signal going to it? I'd consider that an odd setup personally that maybe should be wired differently? But either way, the self timer can be changed but it's not user accessible so you'll need to ask atoto for a patch that changes it. They made one for me once in my old car that timed out after 30 seconds instead of 5 min, because I didn't like how it kept my phone connected to Android auto.
@theRombus the dsp that powers the amp is pulling the signal from the radio , once I got rid of this 5min delay it now acts normal once the key is off , fast boot was keeping the dsp on for 5min so the amp stays on with it , now that fast boot is disabled, it's not actually sleep switch behavior after 5min , it's sleep behavior once you key the the power off .
@@jonathanshoemaker8845 it has its ups and downs. Sound quality is usually ok but I do a lot of streaming with Spotify which sometimes compresses the sound very badly so I can't tell how much is the head unit. I have it in a convertible so I need to crank it up and sometimes I feel it punches higher than I should expect at the price. But keep in mind mine is also paired with a JBL amp before the speakers.
Lol, sorry. Because that kind of thing is well documented in other corners of the Internet. I was sharing info I found that no one else explained. I could do a more in depth thing

Is this head unit worth it I’m thinking about purchasing it but ifey from the reviews
Overall I actually love it. It has quirks but customer service has been incredibly helpful to find workarounds and solutions.
@@theRombus ok awesome to hear what about sound quality
