To be fair, so are your YT videos. 😂 That's why I love ya so much, so relatable! 💕 *but yes, I already saw. Not just fostering content, but that's ok. We'll support that too!
I had a question for maybe a future video. Are there any laws that say a child can only be in foster care for a certain amount of time before they have to become available for adoption to prevent kids from languishing in the system? (This of course is assuming that the requirements their parents are supposed to meet to get them back are not met in the allotted time.) I heard in some states there is a law of one year maximum in state care and online I read there is a federal law that 18 months at the most. But I was wondering if there are circumstances where a child may be in foster care more than 18 months straight without their parents' rights being terminated? How is that possible?
This is a wonderful topic! I will cover This next week! Because yes... there are kids who are in care for years and years and years before being reunified and/or become available for adoption!’
@@fromthefosters How does that work? When you decide on an age range, can you change your mind afterwards? What if you say you only want children up to a certain age, say 6, and you get a child who's 6 and then while they're in your care they turn 7; does the agency remove them because they are over the age you specified? Or does that only count for the placement age? A video on this topic would be great!
Hahaha! “But first let me show you my cat.” Same girl, same!

What is yr age range you prefer?
We are licensed for 0-18 but we’ve only had 12 and under. I’ve never gotten a phone call for a kid over 12.
