Lovely rendition of Cum Jubilo ! And what a spectacular church; no one could doubt that this is a house of God! IMHO, Mass IX is easily one of the, if not THE, most edifying of all the Gregorian Mass settings--and surprisingly easy to sing. The Sanctus is especially so. I have also had the joy of singing Duruflé's "Messe Cum Jubilo," which is explicitly based on this setting. There is a video of this entire Celebration elsewhere on UA-cam. I can't recall how I found it, but it is worth the effort to find. The Dutch hymns were also exquisite. Many thanks to TradOrganist for posting this. It was an enormous blessing to me. God bless you and all who watch/listen to it.
@@TradOrganist I suspect that it is precisely because they sang without score that the performance was so successful. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is almost tangible
Stunning to say the least. This music reflects the human spirit that has been touched by God. As a composer, I am struck by the richness of the melodic development and how the melodies rise in each of the movements. Everything is grounded in a deep sense of peace and joy, both so painfully needed at this present time. Thank you for sharing. Are the accompaniments we hear by Abbé Potiron?
Thanks Gilles, we tried our very best that day. I was raised playing Potiron! But nowadays I improvise my own harmonisation mainly when accompanying gregorian chant. Best wishes
Beautifully performed songs that i sang so often 60 years ago when i was in a cathedral master's degree.

@@TradOrganist I was just listening to your recording again with the Potiron accompaniment I have. Anyway , what you're doing really works.
@@gillesleclerc9383 lol, was I plagiarising? I still have Potiron in front of me every Sunday. Especially for a mass we don’t sing that often.
Gorgeous! (As usual)
lindoooooooooooooooooooo
@TradOrganist beautiful!!! Would it be possible to have you link to the organ notes?
It’s all in my head alas
