I watched this show as a kid. I liked Wild Bill's turned-around pistols -- that's how i wore mine for a while. As for Sugar Pops, I wasn't allowed such terrible over-sweetened food.
Lots of folks are publishing these westerns. Thanks to all of them. I rode on Hoppy's horse in Madison Square Gardens at age 5. And won a contest of of hat, vest, gunbelt and two white handled guns. Yes, I am a girl. Excited at the memories. Thanks for finding these. Where is Cisco and Poncho? Zoro?
1951 , this was before I was born. I love the back lots of the studio's then they are grand and beautiful landscapes. Thats what I enjoy about these old Westerns is the outdoors .
I’m old enough to remember Jingles and how funny he was. I was obviously very young when I watched these becuz I sure didn’t notice that Guy Madison was gorgeous!
I WAS BORN IN 1947, BARRY, WHEN THIS SERIES WAS AIRED HERE IN .MABALACAT, PHILIPPINES, THEN HOST TO CLARK FIELD AIR BASE THRU FAR EAST NETWORK SANS THE USUAL COMMERCIALS!!!
I remembered the guy Madison played wild Bill Hickok but in 1951 I was one year old so I don't know how that could have worked unless the series went on for several years.
reruns were used across North America...Easy to be confused if a show was produced from 1951, maybe your local station didn't exist or didn't aquire the programs till a few years later...I can remember the normal 30+ programs of any series may be suplemented with reruns during summer break.
"The Pops are sweeter and the taste is new; They're shot with sugar (pop) through and through." "Sugar" is an outlawed word now; they're Golden Pops instead.
I remember as as a kid watching Wild Bill Hickock Saturday mornings on channel 5.Great to see those westerns after all those years.Thank you.Darby

This may have been my favorite western; I became a Wild Bill buff because of it. Sugar Pops is still my favorite cereal.

I was born in 1948 and I remember Guy Madison!!
Ever notice at the opening Guy Madison doesn’t hold his hat while fast galloping and Andy Devine has to hold his hat?
Loved this show. Jingles made it.
I am suddenly craving a big bowl of Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops. Sugar Pops are tops!
