This is very emotional for the group. They had a bassist that past away and his dream was to play in Budokan. At last they did. The black feathers is to honor that old bassist thay had a costume with black feathers. Read somewhere that the first lady of Japan was on this concert. And the silent moment in the end is to honor the bassist as well...

I recognize that a lot of people don't get into Versailles because they don't like Kamijo's voice (you should try listening to how he sounded when he was in Lareine, his old band, completely different!), for me it's very unique and his vibrato just amazes me! but what you said, I immediately thought of Mariachi music, some fans here in Mexico even mentioned he would sing _rancheras_ well! lol so I know where you're coming from, thank you for your commentary!
You should check Silent Knight by them (the version from 2009, Chateau de Versailles live) it's an instrumental piece, I'm sure you'll like it!

Thanks for your reaction. Versailles is truly beyond amazing live. I got a chance to see them a few times, years ago here in the states. I’m still hoping they will get together again and tour 🙏🏽They are all such nice guys too. I met Kamijo (lead singer) a few years before Versailles formed and he was very sweet and kind.
Great reaction, their use of the butterfly imagery was to honor their bassist Jasmine You who loved butterflies and passed away in 2009 as well.. respectfully, may your Mother Rest In Peace as well

I'm glad to receive a UA-cam recommendation for this video, I discovered this band back on 2012, I was a shy guy with couple of friends and didn't have the courage to share Versailles to them because I didn't want to look weirdo. Sadly I don't think they have any song that is longer than Faith and decision.
But if your up for another long one that is also really great I would suggest Versailles - God Palace ( ua-cam.com/video/AHsD1XGNVqI/v-deo.html ).
But like you I hope they put out a new album soon and go on tour again, last time they hit a few places in America as well.
