LOVE this design, could you make a video about the design making progress? like maybe the dos and donts of illustrating a design for leatherworking maybe?
I find the Ceramic blades really very good. They still need stropping / polishing but a lot less often. My go to is the filigree blade as I can get varied widths and depths of cut, also its shape makes it easier to see what you’re working on.
This is awesome. I've been doing leatherwork for a few years now and am starting to think about getting into carving. This gives some great information. Any other videos you would recommend for getting started with carving for the first time?
I’m going to try this one. Two questions - what method do you prefer to transfer the pattern to the leather and what if I want to reduce the size to fit say a wallet? I can’t just print smaller as it would become too crowded.
Tracing film, you can trace the design onto the film, which is see through, and then transfer the design onto the leather. www.weaverleathersupply.com/products/tracing-film

For folks who live in apartments or where noise is a problem, this technique is awesome

How do ceramic blades handle stopping and sharpening? Just curious never used anytime of ceramic blade.
I've used the spoon to do this before and to smooth out my bevel tooling when I wasn't as good in a particular area.
Cool practice challenge! Thanks!
Might have to try this if i get some time.
That was amazing challenge accepted I will attempt it this weekend
It’s also interesting to try a standard blade in the hair blades handle
So beautiful!!
Wow, what a nice project. Thanks for the pattern and for sharing.
Thanks for the video
Some light green around the iris of the eyes, would make him Supernatural!

I've got several swivel knife videos on this channel. Just search Weaver and swivel knife and they should pop up!
Finally. Something I've been looking for. A swivel knife only challenge. Gonna have to get this printed out so I can give it a go
Outstanding demonstration & teaching techniques!
