I change the world by changing myself. I am changing the world by loving myself, by enjoying life, by making my personal world a dream of heaven. I change myself, and just like magic, other people start to change.

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief.
I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
    waiting with their light.
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Buddhism has clearly stated: "Hatred cannot destroy hatred, only compassion can destroy hatred"
The reason why this world is constantly and endlessly at war like the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, is because the human mind is not stable and the inner strength and wisdom are shaken, so greed, anger, and ignorance easily drag them into the vortex of ego, I must win, I must destroy. Therefore, if each of us applies the Buddhist method of contemplating the breath, contemplating the present moment for each minute, then our inner strength and wisdom will be very different and the world will change

B I N G O; synchronicity with a “slip” of my past week ~ me, in Houston, mechanic burns out my alternator just doing a tune up, strands me during Beryl, no phone service, no way to call an Uber, , way too stifling to eat or sleep…for 3 days, during peak summer heat, can’t cook, fresh food and frozen food melts and all stores & restaurants are closed, 3 million of us without power, etc. I eventually lost my cool to the point that I punched a window and broke everything in the general vicinity, including 2 fingers, 3 hand bones and badly sprained my wrist. Worse, giving in to a conniption fit prevented me from REALIZING (remembering, duh) the Metro bus runs RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY BUILDING. This is my biggest challenge.
