    Absolutely fascinating ! My brain hurts but apparently that's not a bad thing . What a wonderful subject is balancing ! I think I'll have to watch your video a few more times ! Thankyou for sharing ! ❤😉🙃😎 NZ

    How flexible is the triangle piece

    • @RcAircraft

      Just flexible to hold the weight of the Blades.

    After several years building, and flying blades , I weight them as you did.
    Then I cut tape or covering material to exact diference weight to add on the 2 lightest ones.
    Using the heavier one, as reference, on the balancer, I move the additional tape to find the balance... So, cg is the correct and both finish with the same weigth.
    Then the second ligth one , and that works fine.

      Once you are at that stage yes they should work fine. 👍
      If a little out of balance try switching position of the blades on the delta plate , So blade 1, 2, 3 becomes 1,3,2 or set the head up in a vice so all three blades are on the delta plate vertically and add tape to the lightest blade. It is a juggling act to get them perfect. But so long as the imbalance is not too far out it will work fine.

    Good morning friend, please help me with some ideas! I would like to make an RC gyrocopter and I don't know how to calculate the fuselage and the blade rotor.

      I wish their was a simple answer but their not, but for now watch this video as I think peter explains the problems better than I could also read his description for more info. ua-cam.com/video/pKfAqf1pSfw/v-deo.htmlsi=x_rQULZTcgSSSDon

    could one use RC helicopter blades angled down on the rotor head?

    • @RcAircraft
      @RcAircraft  3 роки тому +1

      No, Rc Gyrocopters have a flat bottom aerofoil a bit like a clark Y . But the leading edge needs to be sharp not rounded . Look here 1:00

    Well, mine came with built blades. I'm a first-timer noobie, aside from a cheap 2 channel foam plane. I figured out how to iron the warpage out. I did not think to balance. Thank you for your video. I think I might use the same method for the ancient ceiling fans we have.

      Yes it is very important to balance your blades.

      @@RcAircraft Thanks Steve, any possible way you could make a video on how you figured mast position on the Lidl. Just getting into gyros

      @@TheDuncandan I have started a new build of the Lidl Glider Autogyro so the detail of measurements and weight CoG will be on this one. Cheers.
