Great vid! I agree with most of your list except the LOP Beast Gohan, I love him! A lot of LOP's have been very disappointing recently tho 😂, only figure I bought in 2023 that I kinda regret is the Clearise Super Vegeta 😂, thankfully can replace him with the masterlise later this year
if i watch this video before i bought those gotenks i wouldnt have buy it man its foot support sucks you need to lean it on bigger figures just to display them, i love how they look its just the issue about their support they fall over
The Ginyu Goku would one for the list: no shading + recycled sculp (except the head). Also, instead of putting 2 Gokus in that set they could’ve added Vegeta…
I thought he was cool enough and an awesome addition that I didn't come off as disappointed as a Kaioken Goku that doesn't even look like he's in Kaioken :(
the problem is also when you put Cell 1st form, Perfect Cell and Bulked Cell next to each other. Their paintings are so different, it's almost like they are completely unrelated. At least, all the Buus pair well together.
@@grandePaoloDiCanio I like that Perfect Cell is a cleaner finish while Imperfect is a matte finish. The upcoming Semi-Perfect Cell looks to be a fitting “in-between” figure with glossy black parts, but matte finishing for his greens. But the Full Power Cell just looks so bad to me :(
lmao Iwakura taking the top two spots for the wrong reasons. I have to go on record saying I hate hate HATE the metallic paint that they suddenly seem to like using. They've started doing it with other lines, too. Like the My Hero Academia Kuji
The Krillin and Gohan duo has to be one of the worst masterlise figures. Their head is too big, the pose is whacky and their face is just straight up bad.
@@MatchesPeaches Makes sense. We don’t get much Krillin so I was excited, also him in the battle armour is super iconic in the namek saga. I was bummed about it :(
I really love Orange Piccolo, for collection's sake I've bought the LOP and he's gorgeous. The pants are ok, unecessary and not what we have expected for a LOP, but they are ok - the painting is not bad it's just that the figure should be more exclusive, all glossy, more glossy parts, I don't know. The "stupid" feeling about the glossy paints is real but I can't help falling in love with then. 😂
I agree with 2nd and 3rd. It makes zero sense when people prefer the regular version (Frieza A and Piccolo B) than the supposedly rarer LO. Who had this dumb idea to just paint Piccolo's pants shiny but not the rest of the body (it's even worse than Super Broly LO with his shiny cape).
I actually didn't mind that picture of Orange Piccolo extra prize, but once you put the two side to side, it really bothered me lol That gloss just didn't work well. At all.
Well whenever my friends come visit me they all like goku facing frieza the most out of all my collection but yeah they needed more shading, thanks for sharing another good video
I like him! He just disappointed me. Remember - this list isn’t the worst. Just the ones that disappointed me the most :) except the Top 3 they’re bad lmfao
3:20 that's odd. I was taught the opposite. Generally, the production or prototype figures always tend to look better. The final release version is expected to have at least one fault the prototype didn't have. I collect various types of figures from bandai and that is generally how they operate in my case.
It’s a toss up in my experience, but my comment is moreso what it should be. If a company promises you one thing and you end up with something underwhelming then it’s disappointing.
@@MatchesPeachesI agree with you a 100% that is how it should be and I get extremely happy when it does turn out that way, the company recives feedback and fixes things for the final version or my favorite when the figure looks decent or not that great on the promotional and then the figure is way better in person.
Thank You for these reviews and the top ten figures (my favorites) so I know which ones to buy or which ones to avoid hehe. Would it be possible to make a video with recommended Dragon Ball figures? Thank You in advance.
Thanks for the support! I'm working on a big video in the future explaining every single type of Dragon Ball figure within the Bandai umbrella (besides Gashapon). I'll have examples and recommendations in there. For now - I recommend just looking up your favorite characters/forms on my channel and see if I reviewed a figure of them. Also my Top 10 is probably a good video of recommendations.
@@MatchesPeaches Posting videos every day will be very difficult, I only need 1-2 videos a week, everyone has their own life outside of recording/watching. Thank You, I appreciate your frequent videos. 👍
King Cold should have been as tall as Cooler, bare minimum. Honestly taller to be more representative of his giant height. He was the most disappointing by far and I didn't buy him. I waited years for him. Him being the same height as Goku is an eyesore and absurd. You know it's bad for me when I go out of my way to buy a resin for King Cold. Lol
When I popped the Gotenks, I put it next to the Grandista Gotenks ..... It's a shame a 15$ Grandista from 2020 is far far better than a 2023 IK figure .....
Why is the goku and frieza on there I thought they honestly looked cool unless you mean how the other version was a little lazy but we’ll find out next time on matchespeaches Z
Lol it's not even close. Dabura's Masterlise is noticably taller than King Cold's Masterlise yet Dabura is much shorter in the manga and anime. Dabura is portrayed as somewhere in the mid-six feet range in the anime (6'7) depending on the scene. He doesn't completely tower over 5'10 Gohan. His figure could have been another 1cm taller, but he's fairly proportional. King Cold, on the other hand, is slightly over twice the height of Cyborg Frieza in the Daizenshuu 7, Frieza's head is at the bottom of King Cold's crotch. Frieza is 5'2 in that form. That puts King Cold at about 10'6ish or well over 11ft if you count his horns. Cyborg Frieza's Masterlise is a little under 8 inches so a true to scale King Cold would be about 16 inches or more (40.5cm) not the (26cms) they did him dirty with.
Which figure disappointed you the most last year?
gohan makankosappo
I really like my LOP orange piccolo and his shiny pants lol
And that's okay!!!
Was about to come to my boy orange Piccolo's defense, but yea, the shiny pants aren't flattering on him.
Prize B is freaking awesome. LOP is ass

Yeah that was before Clearise improved, so I totally get it. I don't dislike the LOP Beast. I just wish he was better!
I agree with King Daddy Cold but its now for what like $40 on BBTS. So for the $100 it aint worth but $40. Pick his smoll arse up.
Damn he got cut down!
if i watch this video before i bought those gotenks i wouldnt have buy it man its foot support sucks you need to lean it on bigger figures just to display them, i love how they look its just the issue about their support they fall over

thought i was the only one who hated that buff cell XD yuck

I think ssj Goku with the saiyan armor is missing on this list
Nah that one is pretty good for a recycle. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Fairly surprised actually.
Honestly I agree with THE BIG SAD
I’ve always found that cell gross
So disappointing

King Cold.
King Cold :(

Piccolo with shiny pants 😢

Oh yeah dude Gotenks is always falling down. He should have been an EMoving as well, such a waste having to buy 2 figures that are basically identical

Surprised that Figuarts Zero Beast Gohan wasn't on here, unless you don't own it.
