It really is matey. No need to complicate things especially fishing for Carp. These rods are brilliant for the job and just with a bag of pellets anybody can bag up👏🏼 Thank you Andy🎣
Nice tip about feeder hooklinks and silicone. Ive blagged a few carp that close at a natural club water at the end of a days fishing on my 11ft feeder rod as a laugh but this was great.years ago, i had an old solid 6ft glass spinning rod converted to a wand and used it in a match at makins. The looks i got, but won my section lol
Short rods are awesome bits of kit. People just assume that a tip rod must be 14ft for it to work. Like you I’ve got an old 6ft child’s rod which I used as a carp feeder and it’s so effective being short. The silicone tubing for me has always been a gimmick and caught me less fish. Having a sharp kink in the hair means I get a natural spring as the fish ejects the bait. Glad it’s given you a pointer mate. Definitely worth persevering with if you want to increase the hookup rate👍🏼
I understand hundreds of great anglers swear by it but through major practice and research it not only doesn’t meet the requirements but on paper it makes less sense than not having the tubing on. No problem matey👍🏼
Cheers matey💪🏼 One nearly had the rod and when I managed to grab it I played him in and lost him at the net. I normally don’t cut the bad bits out but there was swearing lol 😂
Yes mate, easily!!! I’ve had fish over 31lb on lighter gear and the bigger the carp the more sluggish they fight. Not the perfect rod for the job, but easily wind in a 30+ fish.
@@thatson01 appreciate the reply mate, I normally fish with 3.25tc rods but tbh there a ball ache to be carrying about with big pit reels on so going down the feeder route to catch them as k much prefer that fishing plus it’s a tactic that’s not used on my specimen water to something different could trip the weary one up more 🤞🏻
Simplicity at it's best !🎣 Great video 👍

Food for thought, what you said about not having a bit of silicone on the hook - thanks.

Would the monster x 10ft carp feeder handle specimen carp up to 30lb?

I own one,and am always amazed about the sheer power behind this little rod! I had carp up to 20lb on it without a problem.
Those butt rest are that grippy sometimes you cannot get your rod out of them 😂🎣✨️
😂
Literally the only item that will save you a fortune in rods but cost you a fortune in snapped but rest arms😂
