Really helpful and good start for us beginners who wanna make sense of the color wheel. Every time I draw the initial forms first I'm always scared to pick out colors and manage light in relation to its color value. This makes things easier, thanks!

Well what I do is to put the colour of light source in its original colour but with a low opacity. This really helps to be honest.

TheWoxowable that gives you grey.
Dessaturate the red object light area, an it will look green automatically
TheWoxowable shifting to the green side, lower saturation, lighter value

This is really helpful, but uhh, I have a question. What if the light source doesn't have color, just white? Like from the sun or a lightbulb in a room? Do we just like, pick a different color or just highlight it with white?
I think it just changes the value of the color if the light is white. The color will be closer to white when it faces the light. Though maybe the colors from the objects in the scene may effect the color of each object due to reflected light. I hope this helps.

Vincensius Hendik download free colour palettes from online and just use those and add in your own colours if you want. i can find a good link for a skintone one i used if you want

hello this is in case someone else sees it, i need help of artists, when I draw and paint using my tablet, the picture I see on my computer looks nice, the colors are good, but when I send it to my phone (to check the colors) they look awfully bright, like, waaaay too bright, like "I am blind now thanks" bright, and I don't know why, because it looks nice on my computer screen, can anyone help me :( what do I need to do? thank you

I think his explanation of color rings is very useful, but his paintings are a bit messy.

Your colour wheel is wrong.
I know was considering commenting. It went from dark blue right into magenta without the purple and violet at all! he was calling dark blue slightly on the violet side as if it was violet -purple. I tend to have very good colour perception glad to see it wasn't just me who noticed this immediately and was annoyed!
