If it's like my Telluride, just put it in smart mode and it changes the setting depending on what the conditions are. Since hurting my back I'm thinking of selling my pickup truck and getting one of these for daily and camping etc. Kia has come so far over the past few years.
I'm sorry, wrong Ben on the ground clearance. All AWD 2023 Kia Sportage models have 8.3 inches of ground clearance, despite the trim. I own a brand new 2023 Kia Sportage-LOVE everything about this car. It look ruggedly curvaceous; I love the bold stand out styling. I love the performance of the engine (despite what car critics think- they're not being objective when it comes to testing mass market cars, because they're so used to test driving McLaren's, Porsche's; Lamborghini's; Ferrari; Corvettes, etc.). This car has plenty of power, excellent low and mid range torque, which moves the Sportage along effortlessly, with ZEST ! In sport mode, there is a major difference in throttle mapping, and the engine really shoots this car off the line, and through out its rev range. However, I drive mine in "Normal Mode" or "Smart mode", as sport mode uses more gas. Overall, I LOVE the performance in any drive mode. The 8 speed transmission operates flawlessly. I also love the tall ride height. There's a difference between ground clearance and ride height. Many SUV's in this segment have great clearance as does the Sportage. However, what a find with many is that, despite the ground clearance the step in height is norma. I love the Sportage ride height because I have to hoist myself up into, just like I had to do in my Jeep Grand Cherokees. The new Sportage Its right on par with other in this SUV segment, in terms of performance. However, its so much better than others in terms of overall quality of materials and fit and finish. It feels extremely premium inside. -Great review ! Thanks, Tim !
I am doing some window shopping now for a car purchase hopefully 2 to 3 years from now. This car looks like it has pretty much everything I want. How is Kia‘s reliability now? People told me to avoid them but I also have read they’re doing a lot better
I don’t know about off- roading, as I personally don’t care. However, that color combination is fire! I’m not sure if I like that green with the black roof or wolf gray with the black roof better. It’s not going to matter to me as I just traded in my 2021 KIA Seltos SX for a Hyundai Tucson Limited. I absolutely love the Tucson but I also stopped in at KIA themselves to inquire about trading in for a Sportage. Of course they had nothing there (for anything) and proceeded to tell me that I could sit in someone else’s when it comes in. However, they made no effort to sit down and decide what they could order for myself. They haven’t even called me back and that was nearly a month ago. Bunch of weirdos! I wasn’t up for the battle of trying to get my hands on a Sportage. Especially when they didn’t seem interested at all in doing much of anything for me.
BEWARE of system (like ac heater) failure in Kia in few weeks/months time. Lacks quality and service. I have personally experienced this. Does any one know if we had these kind of problems on Toyota or Honda? I should have opted for Toyota or Honda. But instead went with fancy “Kia Sportage 2023” and it’s not working now. I don’t know if it’s a quality issue or the way the dealership is taking care of new vehicles. But this is a serious issue for 40k worth car
I had the same issue on my 2017 Sportage within the first few months. I ended up selling the car due to the issue never being resolved after several service appointments.
The rav 4 had more then ac issue when they made the new one...but ive alway been told to wait a few year after a complete redesign so they can work out any new bugs..my sportage has been superb all 60k miles
Has your AC issue been resolved? AC is very important to me. I ended up buying a RAV4, but still want the Sportage - RAV4 is boring, not many features.
I just bought this one. Beautiful car with more features than my 55k car.
How do you like it so far? We have one on order.
Does it ride rough?
@@bradh6185 no, it rides like a high end car. Floats over dips and railroad tracks. No noise. Love it.
@@SandeesMonkees No noise. That's what I want to hear! I have one on order. May take a year, but it seems worth the wait.

Should we get hybrid
Thank you
I need to drive the hybrid first
The ground clearance on the Xpro is 8.3 inches

How is the quality on this one? I’m concerned it’s very cheap feeling even on the highest trim
I own this model. Has more features than the BMW I traded in for it. Not cheap at all. Just not fast.
Can you do the SX prestige

I don't like SWB model we get in Europe.

What are the seats made of?
SoftTex (leatherette/fake leather)
38k plus 2k mark up still sell fast
My dealer tried to charge me 12k markup in Indianapolis.
@@henrycervantezzz5566 whooooaaaaaa really???? Wow man screw that dealer
@@joegurt2957 yeah cause it was the top of the line off road Sportage and only one coming In that month. Screw that lol.
Funny we just put one on order and it had a $2000 mark up.
Not a big fan I am going to wait a little bit longer
Fuel consumption is to high
Ben your funny !! That’s why I love you man! You know as well I as I do you would not be buying a KIA 🤣🤣. Bro good review man keep it up!
"you're".
Any prestige, Alfa, luxury, diamond or twins name on something is a joke…. Great review though! Waiting on the new zo6 review for the corvette!
The front of this car is so ugly everything else looks really nice though.
38k, now that's funny!
Why is that?
This is a boring boring review
8.3 ground clearance
