These are the best exercises for hip arthritis. I obtained maximum relief right from the very first session. No other exercise or drug have given me so much relief. I highly recommend them. Their effect is cummulative.
I will start these exercises tonight and in the morning. Reading these comments that the pain has diminished gives me a little hope. I’m 39 and have osteoarthritis in my hip with low back pain. I’m down about it and just want to be able to move around and not be in pain.
I've been getting treatment for 2 years for a hip flexor injury just found out yesterday the hip flexor is fine, I have osteoarthritis in my hip !! Gonna start these exercises today
Please do this for yourself. I'm 69 with oesteoarthrits and had it since my.30's I'm just now found these exercises. I wish I would have had them then. It doesn't get better with age believe me I know..
In all fairness, it should be noted that this woman is quite flexible to begin with. Not everyone has this range of motion, nor will everyone achieve this much mobility. Having said that, as someone who has osteoarthritis, I am performing some of these exercises regularly with success; and I will add the ones I learned from this video to my workouts. Thank you.
These exercises are amazing! I've already had one hip replacement and thought I was headed for another. I visited my surgeon the other day because of the terrible pain I've been in and when we looked at the x-rays he told me my hip didn't need to be replaced. So he did a bone scan and I'm still waiting for the results, so I came home and searched for some kind of relief for the pain. I did these exercises twice yesterday. Let me say, I'm a young senior citizen. I was a little sore after the second time and the next morning the hip felt a little puffy until I started moving around. But, there was a huge difference when I got into the shower! I was able to spread my legs far enough with no pain to get over the side of the tub. Which I have not been able to do for a long time. I am so excited. I know I have a lot of work to do to strengthen my leg again, but at least I now have hope. I wish you were in my area. I would totally be your patient!

I started doing the clam shell exercise after years of not doing it. I have had a pain in my thigh. Poof! It's gone. It is a "Great" exercise as you have said! Kudos for reminding me to do them again!
These exercises are helping my very tight right hip a lot. I do both legs once per day right now. Hope to work into 3 a day soon. I do cross fit and I'm 68 this month.
Good news thomas, my right hip is very problematic too, i really struggle with the chest hug (the first exercise) and inward mobility so i will try all these.
Thanks for the great exercises! I don't know if I have hip OA, but I have been doing these.....greater strength and mobility in both hips! I only do this series currently once per day....but it is part of my daily routine. Thanks so much!
Yesterday I performed the exercises with your video after a week as a vestibulit in may hip and lateral pain in my lower leg and to day I walk up and not pain at all!!! Is magic!!! Thank you a lot!! I think I will continue because I do not have this movements in my training, I am 70 years and I do have arthritis but no pain thanks to wild rose powder and fittnes with my body!! Regards. Lilia
Thanks for this. I have been unfortunately been diagnosed with hip osteoarthritis at the age of 44!! Quite upsetting. I do a fair bit of hiking and I want to be able to continue doing this with as little aching as possible :)
A lot of positive comments. I'll start these tomorrow. I'm 33 and I have began to feel my hip tightening, paining me when I walk. My mum recently got diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the hip and knee and my recent pains have scared me. I can't end up almost immobile at my age! It breaks my heart to see how it affects my mum. I need to be there for her when she has her operation.
I followed along with these exercises and some of them were really tough but my pain was almost gone after the first time. I'm sure it will come back, but I'm going to do this every morning and night now.
I don't know if I have Hip Osteoarthritis, but I have been doing these. Found other videos about Trochanteric bursitis treatment that recommended some of the exercises. Really happy I have been doing these as my current work causes Hip bursitis. Thank you!
I just found out on Monday i have arthritis in my right hip. I go to the gym 3 times a week but this has took me outta commission. I'm starting this exercises today. Thx!!

Dear Sir, Thank You for providing this video. These exercises have been a great help for my mother's mild to moderate hip arthritis and improved range of motion. Greatly appreciated! Joe Del Signore.😎
Just wonderful! Thank you. I have performed many of these exercises previously off and on for hip pain. However, I think this is perhaps the most comprehensive video I have seen yet. I love all of your videos! You guys in Canada seem to have an approach with an extra edge. Bravo!
I've been doing these exercises for a total of three days and I already fell better! Thank you so much for the video. I am a girls basketball coach and was wondering are these exercises only when you have pain or can my players do them to build strength and mobility in young healthy hips? Thanks again Coach Greg
Fantastic clear and comprehensive explanations. Fabulous exercises. Your video image and voice quality are excellent. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Fantastic exercises. Really has good effects. But should i be doing this everyday? Ideally strengthening exercises every alternate day gives your muscles time to recover. Iam having hip osteoarthritis moderate stage. I tried these exercises today. Had some pain but icing helped.
You've given me hope. I'm all about therapy but my "doctor" is all about hip replacements. I have been doing my own physical therapy at home with therabands and strength training for a few years but, recently found out I shouldn't have been using a stepper machine because it aggravates hip OA. Bummer. So, I decided to go to a physical therapist recently hoping to learn some tips but, it I haven't gained anything from the experience. They hook me up to a Tens machine for a half an hour (which does nothing for me) and then they put me on a bike (which hurts the situation rather than helps it). And, when I tell them, they roll their eyes at me so, I stopped going there. The result has been a kind of hopelessness in the matter. So, thanks for the encouragement in this video. I will give some of these moves a shot.
Hi Patricia. Thanks for your input. I agree about surgery being the last resort. But then, how will they be able to fund their next Maserati :) I actually laid off of everything for the past month. Things haven't gotten better but they haven't gotten worse either. I'm planning on locating a chiropractor as my next move. All the best, Annette
Hello @taiwoafolabi6974, thank you for taking the time to watch the video. While the exercises showcased are intended for individuals with hip arthritis, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider to determine if they are suitable for you, particularly if you've undergone a total hip replacement. A thorough physical evaluation is necessary for personalized medical advice.
Will these work for my mother who's in her 80's? She has osteoarthritis and the last physical therapist said the only option is hip replacement surgery. Another physical therapist said hogwash. All she needs to do are exercises everyday.
Hello @lisarexroat9316, thank you for your question. The exercises presented on this channel are generally aimed at promoting hip health and may offer benefits for various conditions, including hip osteoarthritis. However, avascular necrosis is a distinct medical condition that requires specific medical attention. It's essential to consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any new exercise regimen, as they can provide personalized advice based on a thorough physical examination. Your physician will consider the stage of avascular necrosis, your overall health, and other individual factors before recommending appropriate activities. Please follow the advice of your healthcare professional for the best care tailored to your unique situation. And remember, this is general information and should not replace the expert guidance from your healthcare provider.
Thank you for the video. My hip joint oa pain has subsided. I have knee joint OA also. Could you please prepare one such exercise plan for knee oa also.
Hello and thank you for this video. I've been told for years I have sacroiliitis and now arthritis and have gone to numerous PTs for therapy. I've noticed when I have hip pain I also have right knee pain.I had a inner thigh/groin injury years ago from yoga, and my right adductor is tight and has limited mobility. I'm wondering if the tight right adductor could be throwing the sacrum out and that is the root cause instead of the other way around. Your thoughts? Thank you.
Thank you, these exercises help me a lot. My left hip is the problem. It is OA and very painful. I cannot pull my left leg to my chest, which I believe is the cause of the stiffness in the groin. Is there anything I can do in addition to loosen the groin area? I feel if I could do that most of the pain could be eliminated.
Hi Marlene: Here is a two-part blog I wrote on Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis. It should answer some of your questions. Cheers! www.motionspecificrelease.com/post/osteoarthritis-of-the-hip-and-knee-part-1
Mr Abelson, May I ask you how much success you have had if one follows this series of exercises daily, with reducing chronic stiffness in arthritic hip joints? Appreciate the benefit of your experience. Many thanks.
HI Colin: We have had very good success in addressing osteoarthritic cases. That being said we combine therapy and exercise. The first step is always a complete medical examination to see what is appropriate for the individual. There is a two part blog I wrote on hip and knee osteoarthritis. Cheers. www.motionspecificrelease.com/post/osteoarthritis-of-the-hip-and-knee-part-1
Thank you very much Mr Abelson. I had my hip Arthritis diagnosed by a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, and clearly showed Arthritis in the ball and socket joint, one hip being more affected than the other. In your video piece here you recommend doing the exercises three times daily, which leaves me sore. Going forward I am going to do it alternate days, and be guided by my discomfort level when walking, which I have found to be my best basis assessment. I will then gradually increase it to once daily, and so on, always depending on how my hips feel. Does that make sense to you? I really appreciate your interest for which I thank you. Good Wishes to you.
I have just looked at these exercise and wonder if they alright for me to do. My hip is painful and I am 85 years old. Would they be suitable for me to do. Thank you in advance joyce
Hi Joyce: I cannot comment on individual cases without doing an examination. I would recommend seeing your medical practitioner to see if these exercises are appropriate for you. Cheers
Thank you for your comment and for watching the video. It's essential to remember that while general exercise advice can be beneficial, individual conditions like osteoporosis require personalized care. Therefore, I must stress the importance of consulting with your healthcare provider to assess any exercises' safety and suitability for your specific situation, especially considering the fragility that can be associated with osteoporosis. Your physician, who is familiar with your medical history and current condition, is the best person to advise you on exercise modifications that take into account your osteoporosis and hip pain. They can help ensure that the exercises you engage in are not only safe but also effective for your health goals. Please take care and prioritize your safety when considering new exercises, and I hope you find the right balance to maintain your health and mobility. Best wishes for your continued health and well-being.
I be trying these exercises. As I have Osteoarthritis in both hips, & I get alot of pain in the groin & pelvic & hip area. And the physio exercises I was given are not like the ones shown in this video.
Please tell me can this exercises be done for corcarthrosis and while pain in hip and tigh is very strong? Wouldn't pain be even stronger with exercises? Is it better to wait and do them when pain isn't so strong?
Hello @mabajaki5555, Thank you for watching and for your question. It's crucial to approach exercise with caution during intense pain episodes. Generally, gentle movements are preferable until pain levels decrease. For osteoarthritis, consistency in appropriately tailored exercises is key, but always under professional guidance. Please consult a healthcare provider to tailor an exercise plan to your current state and needs.

Hi, I'm new to all this. 2 weeks ago, I was walking up stairs and there was a grind/grab/awkward sensation at the front of my hip. It slowly progressed to burning stiffness upon standing and almost unbearable nerve irritation/pain sensation when sitting. This is when I turned to watching videos on YT while awaiting an xray. I started doing some of the recommended stretches but it has made things 10 times worse. I now cannot drive my car or sit at all without feeling agonising burning/irritation which only decreases after I lay down for hours. I realise now that I may have overdone the stretching/strengthening exercises in the first week post injury but there was no great fall/accident to indicate crippling injury was on its way. Xray says I have hip degeneration/narrowing and likely OA. When you google acute hip injury or how to treat bone on bone acute hip injury/flare etc. no one is talking about an acute situation on YT. It appears to be just long-term suffering and potential solutions/treatment plans. I would imagine I'm not the only one out there who is in this window (just injured in last few weeks etc.) of injury with subsequent imaging indicating arthritic changes, so could you please provide some assistance as to how best to treat an acute injury like mine. Also, when and how to know when it is time to transition into an arthritis/FAI treatment program? Treatment summary: Mistake No.1 - Stretching/ROM exercises Mistake No.2 - Warm epsom salt baths (felt so good initially and I could do full ROM afterwards but then a world of pain and stiffness. Mistake No.3 - Driving/sitting in spite of increasing pain/irritation (this was a HUGE mistake!) Massaging - short term relief. NSAI's and lying around in bed all day - So far this is the only thing that is keeping me sane.
Hi Misha: I can not give advice on specific cases without doing a physical examination. That being said here is a two-part blog I wrote on Hip and Knee OA. This should provide you with some good information. Being in an acute stage is no fun, I have gone through this myself (hip replacement). You need to ask you physician for advice on what to do during the acute stage. Cheers! Hello: I can not give advice on specific cases without performing a physical examination. Feel free to show your physician this video and see if these exercises are appropriate for your specific condition. Cheers!
If I did this I would be crying and unable to walk the rest of the day. Is it better to do this type of working out even if it hurts like hell. Will it eventually help and not hurt so bad?
HI cgk phone: I can not comment on specific cases with out doing an examination. That being said, we never have out patients push through sharp pain. I would recommend seeing a practitioner to see what is appropriate for your particular case. Cheers!
I cant even raise my legs that way anymore. I have a spine injury aswell. The docs. Cant tell me why i cant stand up straight either. I know water exercise helps Alot too. Do these stretches if you can .
I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing due to your spine injury. It's difficult when the cause of your symptoms isn't clear, and I can understand your frustration. It's true that water exercises can be very beneficial, especially when land-based exercises are challenging. The buoyancy of the water can help support your body weight and reduce stress on your joints and spine, while the resistance of the water can help build strength and flexibility. As for the stretches you mentioned, it's important to remember that while stretching can be beneficial, it's crucial to ensure that any exercise or stretch you do is safe and appropriate for your specific condition. Overstretching or stretching inappropriately can sometimes exacerbate problems, particularly with a spine injury. Given your situation, I strongly recommend that you seek advice from a local healthcare provider, ideally one with expertise in spine injuries. This could be a physical therapist, a physiatrist, or an orthopedic surgeon. They can provide a comprehensive evaluation and create a personalized exercise and treatment plan that takes into account your specific limitations and goals. Again, while I can't provide specific advice without a physical examination, I hope this general advice helps. Take care of yourself, and I hope you find the answers and relief you're looking for.
I haven't watch this video yet. I am 60 year old male and have arthritis in one hip. It hurts when i sleep on it or use stairs. I can walk and jog on a treadmill. I lift weights too occasionally - curling. Anyhow, I decided to try rowing upright with 100lbs. In the last two weeks after exercising nightly, I have noticed I can climb stairs comfortably and I can sleep on my arthritic hip without pain. Hip joint must be better padded and stronger.
I cannot comment on a specific case without performing a physical examination. I do recommend seeing a practitioner and seeing what they recommend that is specific to your case. That being said, most of my patients can perform this exercise on their beds. Cheers!
Hi Irene: The idea of using this model is to show you what to work towards. I do understand there is a huge difference in those suffer from Hip Osteoarthritis and those who do not (range of motion and the ability to perform an action). I personally had my right hip replaced 4 years ago. You may be interested in a blog I wrote on OA. Cheers! I’m pretty sure some of these exercises can be harmful if you have a hip impingement (FAI). You should very much avoid internal rotation with hip impingement.
Your right if the person is dealing with hip impingement (especially severe impingement, like myself before my replacement), any exercise which causes the knee to move above the hip should be modified or not performed. Never push through pain. In general anyone with FAI should avoid: • Deep squats • High knees • Lunges • Leg press • Deadlifts • High box jumps • Plyometrics such as bounding and squat-jacks The exercises on the video helped me a lot before and after my hip replacement. That being said I modified them and never pushed through sharp pain. Thanks for the comment!
Hi Bridget: As long as there is no pain with the clicking it not usually a problem. If there is associated pain you should have it checked out. Cheers!
The very next UA-cam video I watched after this said one of the worst things you can do is the knee to chest exercises.. How on earth can a person know what’s right or wrong !! So frustrating 😢
I understand your frustration, as there's a myriad of information available, which can sometimes be conflicting. The inclusion of the knee to chest exercise in this video is based on its potential to aid in maintaining or enhancing hip joint mobility and muscle strength around the hip, which can be beneficial for some individuals with osteoarthritis (OA). However, the appropriateness of exercises can significantly vary from person to person, depending on the severity of their condition, their overall physical fitness, and technique. It's crucial to consult with healthcare professionals who can provide personalized advice based on a thorough assessment of your condition. While there's evidence supporting exercise for managing OA symptoms, the effectiveness of specific exercises, like the knee to chest, might differ among individuals. I highly encourage exploring this topic further with healthcare providers and seeking a tailored exercise regimen. It's through such dialogue that we can better understand OA and work towards effective management strategies. Please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further clarification on this topic.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I wholeheartedly agree; aerobic exercise plays a pivotal role in managing Osteoarthritis. Cycling, as you've discovered, can be particularly beneficial. For those intrigued by the science behind this, I've delved into the manifold benefits of aerobic exercise in a blog post titled, "Breath of Life: Unleashing the Full Potential of Aerobic Exercise." www.motionspecificrelease.com/post/breath-of-life-unleashing-the-full-potential-of-aerobic-exercise I believe you might find it interesting. @bryankitmendoza1223 Hello, and thank you for watching! I appreciate your interest in the exercises for hip osteoarthritis. However, I am unable to provide specific advice or comments on individual cases without a physical examination and a complete medical history. It's important to note that not everyone will be able to perform the exercises exactly as demonstrated. We often recommend starting with modified versions of certain exercises and ensuring that you do not push through any pain. Ultimately, we always advise consulting with your physician to determine what exercises are appropriate for your specific condition. Best regards, Dr. Brian Abelson, DC

Hi Star Dog: Unfortunately I do not do phone consultations. I need to perform a person physical examination before giving advice on a specific case. Cheers!
Thank you for engaging with our content, @syvonnie15. It's true that not all exercises suit everyone, especially when it comes to managing conditions like hip osteoarthritis. Individual responses to exercise can vary greatly. While many have benefited from the exercises we've shared, we recognize that they may not be universally applicable. This underscores the importance of personalized medical guidance. I encourage you to consult with a healthcare provider for a comprehensive evaluation to determine the most beneficial and safe exercises tailored to your specific needs. Your health professional’s input is invaluable in creating a regimen that's both effective and considerate of your personal health circumstances.
Hi Kath: We have a lot of patients in the senior population who do these exercises. I would recommend seeing your practitioner, to see if these exercises are appropriate for you. Cheers!

Loving doing these exercises. Still very stiff in left hip but pain is less since doing these exercises. Only been doing them for about a week ❤
Thanks for watching!
This is helpful.
Parachute accident in the Army has led to osteoarthritis in my left hip, knee and ankle.
Thank you

Great exercises, I try to do these first thing in the morning and just before bed, they help my hip tremendously.
Awesome 💪
Thanks man it's helping me alot
Glad to hear it
Thanks for the great exercises! I don't know if I have hip OA, but I have been doing these.....greater strength and mobility in both hips! I only do this series currently once per day....but it is part of my daily routine. Thanks so much!

Omg thank you! I've been in so much pain the last 3 months but this brought me some relief right away!
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
Thanks for this. I have been unfortunately been diagnosed with hip osteoarthritis at the age of 44!! Quite upsetting. I do a fair bit of hiking and I want to be able to continue doing this with as little aching as possible :)
You will!
Thanks you for sharing . It will be a great help for me to encourage to do more exercises and to build muscles for my hips osteoarthritis . Godbless
Thanks for watching!
Thank you n
Will try tomorrow morning
I followed along with these exercises and some of them were really tough but my pain was almost gone after the first time. I'm sure it will come back, but I'm going to do this every morning and night now.
That's great to hear. Has doing the exercises continued helping?
I don't know if I have Hip Osteoarthritis, but I have been doing these. Found other videos about Trochanteric bursitis treatment that recommended some of the exercises. Really happy I have been doing these as my current work causes Hip bursitis. Thank you!
I just found out on Monday i have arthritis in my right hip. I go to the gym 3 times a week but this has took me outta commission. I'm starting this exercises today. Thx!!

l learned these exercises.Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Dear Sir, Thank You for providing this video. These exercises have been a great help for my mother's mild to moderate hip arthritis and improved range of motion. Greatly appreciated! Joe Del Signore.😎
I like your exercise so much
Thank you. No crap. Straight to the point 👍
It helps thanks both of you
Thank you much for your exercises. My mobility is increasing.
Thanks very much for these they are different and I can see how they could help
definitely going to try #6 and 7. Looks like this could help me
Just wonderful!
Thanks again
Coach Greg
Great excercise for hip pain, thank you.
You're so welcome!
Fantastic clear and comprehensive explanations. Fabulous exercises. Your video image and voice quality are excellent. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Great
I will try. Thanks
All the best
Thanks much..1st series today.
Thank you so much for the exercises !
You're so welcome!
I have been doing my own physical therapy at home with therabands and
strength training for a few years but, recently found out I shouldn't have been using a stepper machine because it aggravates hip OA.
All the best,
Annette
Annettesmusic you went to the worse clinic on earth lol if they rolled their eyes at you
Annettesmusic Dr. don’t make money by prescribing a surgery. You don’t know what you’re talking about and should quit spreading misinformation.
3:04 Glad I stopped overlooking this video. This exercise right here is torture for me but a real eye opener for my condition 👏🏽
I am very stiff after watching this! But I can see great relief on its way!
Thanks for watching!
Ok. thank you sir. But please , is it for those who have had total hip replacement surgery?
Hello @taiwoafolabi6974, thank you for taking the time to watch the video. While the exercises showcased are intended for individuals with hip arthritis, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider to determine if they are suitable for you, particularly if you've undergone a total hip replacement. A thorough physical evaluation is necessary for personalized medical advice.
Will these work for my mother who's in her 80's? She has osteoarthritis and the last physical therapist said the only option is hip replacement surgery. Another physical therapist said hogwash. All she needs to do are exercises everyday.
thank you for awesome stretchs
Will these exercises help with avascular necrosis?
You may want to check out this video we produced. Cheers! ua-cam.com/video/i_UaixqaBYA/v-deo.html
Thank you for the knee pain video, it helps
Hello and thank you for this video. I've been told for years I have sacroiliitis and now arthritis and have gone to numerous PTs for therapy. I've noticed when I have hip pain I also have right knee pain.I had a inner thigh/groin injury years ago from yoga, and my right adductor is tight and has limited mobility. I'm wondering if the tight right adductor could be throwing the sacrum out and that is the root cause instead of the other way around. Your thoughts? Thank you.
Ariel Paz have you looked at being tested for hip dysplasia? X ray then an MRI? It sounds just like the symptoms. I have dysplasia in my left hip.
Watched the video, did the exercises (it hurt) and now the pain is cut by half. I will continue with these.
1231Duke how are you feeling did they work for you ..
I'm wondering myself how did it work out for you?
Thank you!
Great sir, very good and very helpful and valuable for hip. Please continue to share your experience knowledge. Thank you.
Thank you dr
Your Welcome!
Very encourege video thanks.
Main thing is to see if the physician thinks these exercises are appropriate for you. Cheers!
@@kinetichealthonline Thanks Mr Abelson. I have already done so.
I watch and teach my mom she had hip pain and now she is curing
@binita, your mom is getting cure by these exercises , really?
I have oa in both hips and lower spine ive been looking for exerses for both hips and spine xx
Thanks a lot sir
Most welcome!
I have tried these exercises and I feel better pain relented
thanks..... good video!
Thanks, great exercises
I have just looked at these exercise and wonder if they alright for me to do. My hip is painful and I am 85 years old. Would they be suitable for me to do.
Thank you in advance joyce
Hi Joyce: I cannot comment on individual cases without doing an examination. I would recommend seeing your medical practitioner to see if these exercises are appropriate for you. Cheers
Can you do these before a higher impact workout. Or is it better to do it after?
I would assume before because it’s stretching out your muscles and relieving tension, which then helps prevent injury during a high impact workout
Helpfull sir ❤️🫂
I have osteoporosis on left hip w/some pain . Are this exercises safe for someone with osteoporosis?

@@kinetichealthonline ok, thank you very much.
Can we do these exercises everyday?
Most of our patients do mobility exercises everyday, and strengthening exercises every other day. Cheers
I will try it, let you know in three weeks ...
So, what are results?
Treatment summary:
Mistake No.1 - Stretching/ROM exercises
Mistake No.2 - Warm epsom salt baths (felt so good initially and I could do full ROM afterwards but then a world of pain and stiffness.
Mistake No.3 - Driving/sitting in spite of increasing pain/irritation (this was a HUGE mistake!)
Massaging - short term relief.
Cheers!

@@kinetichealthonline This is brilliant and most generous of you to share your expertise in such detail🌱
Is this good for hip impingement please advise
Take care of yourself, and I hope you find the answers and relief you're looking for.
thanks sir
great exercise
Great video. I can feel #5 as well, trust me..:))
Thanks, these exercises can make a huge difference for a lot of people. Cheers!
@@kinetichealthonline sure it works. Thank you for posting and pointing out the rotations. Amazing results within weeks. You are a true professional.
Hi Ted: Check out the video lots of great information. Cheers!
Hi there, is the bed okay to try this or its too soft?
I cannot comment on a specific case without performing a physical examination. I do recommend seeing a practitioner and seeing what they recommend that is specific to your case. That being said, most of my patients can perform this exercise on their beds. Cheers!
These are good exercises but I hope a video of someone with hip osteoarthritis do these exercises rather than someone who doesn't have the problem.
Cheers!

What if I have no help and are in a lot of pain? What do I do?
The bottom line, you need to see a practitioner first to see what you are dealing with. Cheers
What if I don’t have a table like this and cannot get down or up from the floor?
You can use you dining room table
Put a dbl folded blanket on it n large towels
Great exercises.
And GREAT feet. Nice high arches.
super
I’m pretty sure some of these exercises can be harmful if you have a hip impingement (FAI). You should very much avoid internal rotation with hip impingement.
Your right if the person is dealing with hip impingement (especially severe impingement, like myself before my replacement), any exercise which causes the knee to move above the hip should be modified or not performed. Never push through pain. In general anyone with FAI should avoid:
• Deep squats
• High knees
• Lunges
• Leg press
• Deadlifts
• High box jumps
• Plyometrics such as bounding and squat-jacks
The exercises on the video helped me a lot before and after my hip replacement. That being said I modified them and never pushed through sharp pain.
Thanks for the comment!
Is clicking during exercise a worry

I can't even get legs up to do that
@bryankitmendoza1223
Hello, and thank you for watching!

@@kinetichealthonline that is the most informative article I’ve read on the topic . Do you do phone consultations?
Hi Star Dog: Unfortunately I do not do phone consultations. I need to perform a person physical examination before giving advice on a specific case. Cheers!
Other videos say not to do this for hips arthritis 😂
Thank you for engaging with our content, @syvonnie15. It's true that not all exercises suit everyone, especially when it comes to managing conditions like hip osteoarthritis. Individual responses to exercise can vary greatly. While many have benefited from the exercises we've shared, we recognize that they may not be universally applicable. This underscores the importance of personalized medical guidance. I encourage you to consult with a healthcare provider for a comprehensive evaluation to determine the most beneficial and safe exercises tailored to your specific needs. You are assuming that people with Osteoarthritis are that flexible. Most often, they aren't..
Thank you for watching and for your insightful comment. You're absolutely right; osteoarthritis (OA) often manifests with varying levels of flexibility among individuals. The exercises shown in the video are intended to serve as a general framework for improving mobility, not as a one-size-fits-all approach.
I must stress the importance of consulting a qualified medical professional for a tailored treatment plan that best suits your specific condition. Proper diagnosis and individualized exercise regimens can significantly impact the efficacy of OA management.
For those interested in a deeper exploration of OA, especially in the hip and knee areas, I've written a two-part blog series:
