I personally like the color blocking of this. I really enjoy any color with the ‘Chicago’ styled color blocking with the white. I think it looks much cleaner than the black.

The difference is that OG Chuck Taylor colorways are always readily available and Jordan wouldn’t ever do that. Instead we get a bunch of bullshit new colorways every week.

I've got so many 1's I lost count with my deadstocks including with my regular rotations, but I still buy them all as long as they're not the Christmas themed Pine Green 2.0's with the red tag, and sewn on black logo, that sit on shelves forever, and no one can resell to this day lol! But, the Jordan 4 is my favorite silhouette!

theoniceguy Black toe works with literally any color, that’s what makes it good. You can’t mess up a shoe with black toe colorblocking. Rust pinks, Igloos, Valentines, Fragments, Barons.

@@StevenSanchez_95 no they don't at least not for me. Air Force's fit big and have a chunkier feel to them. Jordan 1 fits true to size for me, especially if the leather is nice. When the leather is nice you can go down half a size and have a bit more of a snug fit bc the shoe will break in really well. And it won't crease near as bad when it's a good fit. Hope this helps. 🙏

Jordan 1’s are 🔥🔥🔥. Will definitely cop these since I missed out on the 2018 Court Purple1’s because I really wanted the Pine Greens back then.
I’m more of a Chicago color blocking fan, so I actually like these more than last year’s Court Purples. The black/green 1s that just released didn’t do it for me at all though. Always great content! Appreciate it!
Prefer these to previous court purples in terms of color. Love the simple design. No gloss, no mate, no text printed on them, no distressing, no suede, etc... When was the last time we got GR release like this. Just wish the leather was better quality.

I think the ROY's are criminally overlooked. The materials are top notch and colorway is flexible. Only negative is that for some reason the leather on the heel seemed to creased faster than usual.

It is a perfect OG Chicago 1 color block. It is a keeper.
I love these and have them. Actually prefer these without the black toe. Leather is somewhat glossy which I like. One of favorite 1's
I like em but don’t know if I’ll cop. I was thinking about it to do a Lakers custom but I could do that with a triple white, the only difference would be it won’t have the purple outsole plus it’d be cheaper.
Had to pay resale For the 2018 purples and Got These For retail. I probably also prefer the old pair but purple plus Chicago colorblocking is a No brainer to me
There are a 9.5/10 to me. They look super sleek to me just like the Storm Blues do. I’d pay up to $200 retail for a Jordan 1 without blinking considering how crazy the aftermarket prices can get. Now if Jordan brand can just release a Yellow tow High OG like these Purple 2.0’s I’ll be able to do my mismatch Lakers jays. Make it happen Jordan Brand!

As a Laker fan and an LA native, I like the OG colorblocking more than the predecessor. It's simplistic nature gives it a more subtle vibe.

I will never tire of the J1s. I think this version of the purple pops more than the last. I live both. I don’t think they should put the 1 on ice at all. It’s a classic silhouette like an AF1 low. We can wear them with more things

Have the OG pine greens and court purps. Am trying to complete the "toe" color block for my collection. Still need Bred toe and SBB 1.0, but these are a nice and cheaper alternative to the original court purples!

Yo foamer ,personally i believe that nike should produce jordan 1s and 3s and any of the retro line simply cause people want them and they deserve the opportunity to buy at retail price a pair any time they can . I was born in the 70s and was a teenager when jordans first came out and i own few of the original shoes and colourways. It wasn't that big a deal ! you could just go in any sports shop and buy the damn shoes if u could afford it (it was quite expensive in my country then ). The shoes were readily available and any one could go in and buy them . NO raffles, NO bots,no waiting in lines ,no aftermarket prices ,crazy re seller prices for a sneaker that has average quality materials. Now its near damn impossible to get a pair when u live abroad cause of the limited numbers released and stores selling them . Retro J s are not even sold in the local Nike store any more ! I want them to produce more,flood the market if that need be so that the crazy reseller prices and extortionate flight club and stadium goods prices go down .

I agree and prefer the 2018 pair, a little bit more black was more neutral and the 2020 Court Purple is more of a summer shoe just because of the color blocking. I also got to get a feel of the 2020 pair because my friend got them early and the leather quality reminds me of the the Yin Yang 1s back from 2016, not bad quality but not the best, a bit stiff but not the the point where it felt very uncomfortable. Comparing the 2018 and 2020, the leather quality on the 2018 was extravagant compared to the 2020 pair.
