Am I the only person on earth who appreciated the folded tongue? It gave it character and made it more recognizable. Also. I almost like this shoe as much as the union AJ1. To me, this is sneaker of the year.

Soty for sure. Super happy with my pair and the folded tongue.
I feel the same way but only for the Guava color way. I have both and the Noir looks better with an unfolded tongue. Guess that makes two of us lol.
I think the tongue is horrible. The rest of the shoe is so unique, there was no reason to take it further. The yellow stitching couldve been used around the jordan patch on a r3gular tongue or for where the wing is stitched on. Wouldve made the yellow stitching more visable and wouldve made it flames imo.

Tbh I still think the black pair looks trash but I really like the way the guava pair looks I just hate the black with the sail

Why would it be a negative thing that the resale value dropped? That's only on the viewpoint of a reseller, especially the bot ones. For a potential buyer, that's a damn good thing. Same goes for any other hype sneaker

I like this. Proper test of integrity and look. Value is an obvious one. But I buy my shoes for keeps. I just bought some of these for 675 DS 😬 love em though. Definitely stiff out the box.
They break in over time lol, I bought a ds pair last year and they feel better now

Awesome review. I love this shoe I made the modifications you did with the tongue and the yellow shoe string went a little further and cut out the triangle on the clear side straps. They look sick. Thanks for the follow up review.

Just remember, union 1 black toes went for $500 at the lowest. These will eventually climb up... not to the 1s level but they’ll climb.
1’s and 4’s seem to do the best

I LOVE this sneaker and since I’ve gotten them I’ve worn the black pair a bunch of times. Soon as I got them in the mail they went straight to the toe and I can confirm everything foamie and buckets said. I have the guava pair as well and still have them on ice the off noir is just more practical/wearable but I do like the guavas more. Dope video as always guys keep it up!

Value doesn’t matter when u buy a pair to wear. Enjoy them unless u want to sell then hold but if u keeping them who cares by the time u wear them for 2 years used pairs might be worth 500-800

I will say that when i first wear em it was very tight with the mesh, almost thought i got em on the wrong size. but once you walk around em the first week, it breaks out and fits your feet just right.
