I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

I actually didn't catch on that Bluey said "I don't want a valuable lime lesson, I want an ice cream." At first. I didn't realize she said "lime" instead of "life". I found that to be funny and it makes sense that Bluey would hear her dad say lime when he actually said life.

To each their own, I personally love Asparagus but mostly just for how unique they made the character animation when the Heeler's acted like different animals. The expressions, the movements, I was impressed with what they could pull off.
Yeah that was absolutely incredible! I think it’s low for me cause we played that game sooooo much after we watched it 😆 was great fun but I’m happy leaving it on in the background

Absolutely! Camping is definitely one of my favorites. It meant a lot that they covered a topic like friendship in a sense.
I think that the Bumpy episode was a great one. I like how Bluey and the rest of the Heeler family took the time to make a home video for Bingo and the sets they made for it were amazing to watch, especially the tent scene.

16:03 I have a theory, what if Bandit's dad was abusive or treated him badly? I've been learning about Emotional Abuse in school and how Bandit reacted is how survivors of abused parents can feel looking back on that. And like how Bandit teases, that actually hurts Bingo and Bluey's feelings sometimes. It would be super interesting if this is true or more looking into this. Amazing video Margie!!!

Overall great ranking list! For the most part I agree with a lot of the placements. For me, hands down Camping is the best episode from Season One, it hit home on a personal level. I have a cousin from Montreal. Bluey and Jean Luc's friendship, interactions and language barrier reminds me of when my cousin and I were younger and played together. It brings wonderful memories. Cannot wait for ranking lists for Season Two and Three!!!
I still love The Magic Xylophone, I think it is the perfect pilot, it is one of my most watchable episodes, and while I won’t go so far to say that it is actually one of the best episodes, I think it deserves to be exactly average for being the perfect encapsulation of all the elements of most Bluey episodes. To be honest, I really don’t see the appeal of episodes such as Hotel, Spy Game, Grannies, or Fairies when compared to The Magic Xylophone.
But I do want to ask you if you have an episode like that, which you use as a comparison for a lot of other episodes?
I do understand that these are all (hopefully) opinions, but Bumpy in the middle of the middle of the list, how can that be! That’s an episode that I would defend being #2 of the entire first season! It always makes me laugh, it’s one of 3 episodes that’s made me cry, and it’s such a cleverly effective story; I’d actually say that it’s more emotionally effective than episodes such as Grandad, Bike, and Chest, because you aren’t expecting the funniest episode to have such a resonant theme

When a season 2 ranking comes out, definitely Barky Boats, and Café are "Isn't anyone going to mention the salads?"
i absolutely have to validate your love for wagon ride, its one of my favourites. as someone with adhd, i really resonate with bluey in that episode (even though she's not confirmed to have adhd or anything, though my headcanons about her are another matter entirely lol). i see a lot of my child-self in bluey and wagon ride really highlights the idea of impatience and hyperfixating in a way i can empathise with. the way bandit handles bluey's impatience was brilliant as well. its one of those episodes where i find myself pointing at the screen yelling "THATS ME!! THATS ME!!" in regards to the neurodivergency (alongside others such as army, mini bluey, space etc).
"Polly want a cracker" I just love that quote of bingo. Sparagus is not perfect, and not the best funny episode, but its decent going to more average good :b

Copycat was my introduction episode to the show and I’ve never looked back.

I LOVE shadowlands and Markets. I think it’s just because of the environments and the very realistic way kids interact with one another

I completely disagree with the bottom 2 tiers because a LOT of the episodes I loved, that’s just my personal opinion though.
i have anxiety, and withotuer kids shows, my anxiety spikes cause of how easy it is to spike up. Bluey taked away my anxiety instead of having more, and when theres a new episode, i just watch for the plot before i watch it for the easter eggs, its a good show, but Iive in America (im an American citizen) and i get excited when theres a new Bluey episode, it's just a relax show for me.

I can see blue mountain at the bottom but I love it because Blue Mountain is an actually mountain is Queensland, Australia so I think that’s pretty cool!
Another person auntie marry could be is a family friend of Chili's parents. We know that chili and Trixie are friends, they could have been childhood friends? And there is a women named marry who was like an aunt to them?
Because of camping I feel like they should have a sequel where Bluey and bingo are adults and they are raising their own kids and their lives growing up

I honestly think that chicken rat is quite good because of the story it creates one scene before the other
My personal favorite from season 1 has to be The Creek. The music is phenomenal, and this episode is so different from other season 1 episodes. My least favorite would probably be Adventure because I just always forget about it and never really have the desire to watch it
Calypsois one of my families favourite episodes, so I’m very surprised that you want it so far down. Although I do know that part of the reason why my family likes it so much is because a lot of them or childcare teachers

.... I actually kinda like Blue Mountains lmao. I'd kick it to "You stop door, doorstop!" personally. "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound" is for me a top tier episode though, I really love it. But I'd put "The Sleepover" lower just because I'm not the biggest fan of Muffin in her first episodes.
ZOO IS top 10 favorite season 1 for me
I actually would’ve put fairies down in door stopper. It’s just that band that didn’t really do anything wrong. Are used to love playing various and I was a kid but not like this. Mum felt like it thought that you should just never make your kid unhappy in the slightest.
I forgot about the episode pirates it is really good though
I did like teasing it was a lot of fun, but it didn’t really show the lesson very well. So I would’ve just put it down and ice cream.
I love how one episode can be someone's favorite that is overlooked by others. Every episode has at least one person who loves it more than all the others. For me, I LOVE Shadowlands, but it's bottom tier here. I love this show to BITS! I hope more shows exist like this in the future when Bluey eventually ends.
Also, Wagon Ride is my absolute favorite episode too. It's the first one I showed my parents and they both loved it and got them into the show too.

Zoo, I'd have put in the top 2 Tiers, I love it when Bluey does a bit of a film spoof, [see also Bus = Speed + Rug Island = Lord of the Flies] it's kind of a cute King Kong spoof and again a bit of the gateway Bluey ep for me as it was the first to nearly make me cry, bit at the end where Bingos in bed all sad and Ooh Ooh/Dad and Bluey turn up at the window [when I was a kid I'd often go to bed sad like that and just told to go to sleep and not fuss]
Bingo's voice in season kills me

I would [Personally] have put Horsie ride + Zoo in the top 2 tiers, I think the marriage equality message in Horsie Ride is important, it was kind of my 'gateway' ep because of that [I'd seen eps like Magic Xylophone I'd think where cute but nothing special, but that made me sit up and take notice - "Daddy married Uncle Stripe" the Kids don't get all Gendered about it, although "Horses can't talk"
Work on bottom tier?! I would have put it way higher, the ending where chilly and bandit dance elevated this episdode so much...
