Mustang took a crazy wide line. Plenty of room up the inside. I don't get the two supras side by side just rolling along. If you aren't on a hot lap get off the racing line. Super simple stuff.
The Supra on the left was on a cooldown right off the racing line. The Supra on the left seems to have seen me coming, slowed down but had a mustang up his rear so sped up as a result. Both cars were backing me up for over half a lap so i'd expect them to be fully aware of my position on track. An awkward one that's for sure
Love the FD so much, but I can honestly say I enjoy all of the different content you do. Its shown me the things you can do at home or by yourself which has been a great help getting me to also have a go doing my own work. Sadly though Going to have to sell my FD next year, Me and the Mrs are going to Make the move to Aus. Keep up the content!
P.S The mustang dude should have been in a lower bracket if that kind of thing un nerves him. Same for the supra right at the front. The white car on the left was right off line I dont understand why he backed it up so much going past it. Some of the Tracks in the UK are Hella Tight especially places like Oulton park, Cadwel etc.

Quite close to the wall there mate, bet that gave you a rattle. Otherwise, not a bad shakedown, definately room for much later & harder braking, with cleaner lines & use of correct gears in T2 +T9 there's much time to be had. Look forward to seeing you out there soon hopefully.
Haha yeah actually didn't think much about it... wasn't until i saw the footage i realised just how close i got. I don't know if it shows, but i'm actually braking hard, pedal to the floor. They weren't very sufficient with stock power so i knew they would be hard at work hence on the brakes much earlier than i'd like. Yes much more improvement needed. Hopefully tweak a few things and be out there soon. Cheers for watching
Cheers mate yeah what a vehicle! It was so much more balanced with the stock power. It was definitely shining then, the extra power has really upset the balance. But i know what needs to change
Hey Jonathan, when you had the FD in storage for a year did you do regular start ups or anything else? I often think of parking mine up for a while but think of the new problems i may have
Hey mate I probably did quarterly startups, run to operating temp and shut off. It never struggled to start. I am also premixing 1:200 with no OMP and it was still fine. If i was going to let it sit for extended periods, probably run down the fuel so that you can dilute with fresh fuel for the next startup. I've heard people pouring oil down the runners after long periods of hibernation but i feel that's quite extreme. If the engine has compression within normal range, i don't see why you can't crank with injectors on and let the compression build as it wouldn't take much. If it's flooding (like my old motor did), there are bigger problems to worry about.
