    This is what I like about chooch reviews and videos . He is not bias from a particular brand or model (like some gotway fans reviewers) . He will find where each wheel shines or lack .. thanks for the video chooch!.

    I find that even a gentle carve is essential for keeping the wheel from developing a death wobble. Plus, it gives me a better feel for the wheel's rotational inertia on different surfaces, with different tire pressures, and at different speeds. When I first started ramping up my speed, carving was the skill that totally changed my perception of how to ride these things. I think as riders get better, the carve can become more and more subtle, until it's just a light bit of pressure being added to the peddles when it feels like they need it. Like everything, big motions when starting out turn into smaller and smaller motions until it's just tiny changes in muscle tension (aka. mind-control).

    11:20 I also like carving because it reduces stress on my feet. If my feet are always in the same position holding half of my weight each then they get really worn out. Carving takes the pressure of one foot then the other and gives each once a chance to stretch out and it lets me ride longer without my feet hurting.

    Love your videos man, I got my 1st euc recently, an s18 and went on a long trail ride today, I'm in the UK and went for miles without seeing anyone along the trans-penine trail. Had my first proper crash too lol, had all the gear on similar to yours so I got away with just a few scrapes and bruises lol. I'm already wanting the feel of a faster euc but as I'm in the UK I only go off-road so looking forward to seeing what comes out in the next couple of years to suit my needs. Keep up the good work bro.

    When you get around to your tutorial on making side pads, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the pros/cons of different "approaches" to side pads, including those that are large enough blocks (e.g. a few inches wide...) that you can "lock in" the front of your foot btwn them and the pedal. Although I can certainly see the benefits of such pads in helping you take jumps and helping prevent "lift off" during rough terrain, I'm curious what you think about various approaches from a safety perspective, too.

      I would also enjoy seeing your how-to video on making jump pads for the V11.

    • @osimmac
      @osimmac 3 роки тому +1

      you don't need huge pads, it would be dangerous because it would make dismounting very quickly hard, if the wheel malfunctions at high speed, you'll want to remove your feet as quickly as possible if falling, and not be stuck to it.
      small pads, like half an inch or maybe an inch is plenty, the strongest grip comes from squeezing the euc with your legs to keep your feet planted on the pedals. most of the time its not necessary, you can just keep your feet planted by having bent knees and being your own suspension, but on rough terrain or big bumps it prevents feet from lifting. real suspension helps a lot too.

    • @darthlucious1592
      @darthlucious1592 3 роки тому

      Osimmac exactly what I was thinking nothing to get you feet stuck but something for your ankles to grab for jumping up curbs when necessary. Think I will make something simple with foam padding.

    • @wbedard
      @wbedard 3 роки тому +1

      Here's a video just recently made that highlights one of the many "approaches" people have had in making pads for their EUCs. Since this seems to be a very "open" opportunity for EUC users and 3rd-party companies alike, getting chooch's thoughts on which approaches make sense and which might be unsafe or just "snake oil" would be greatly appreciated! Id like to see in each review...does the wheel work out of box no cell phone signal no app?
    Can the wheel operate silent no beeps and lights off?
    Why do wheels have tyres on that can go flat when no more flat tyres exsist?
    Does each wheel cut out rather than just plato speed?

    Remember Folks the "carving" style of ride is for me is the best way, its more relaxing for the feet (intermitent pressure) , knee reliever (weight balancing) and any destabilization on the ground (like pot holes) probably not affect ya because it probably never hits ya in the "balance center point" , its like ever ya get a hole on the wheels your body weight is in the other side, so the hit is more smooth, its like ya act always in the future. Never stay "freeze" always moving your body and feeling the path underground of your feet, like a coil, i was facing some disturbing roads and never crash only because i was doing that take a note! (watching the cooch videos and others and take attention of his body movies) cheers

    Man I almost got a Grom but decided I'd rather get a more portable and fun euc for a non highway cruising vehicle. My brain knows I should get the V11 but I can't help want the Sherman too lol. This well rounded machine (V11) has enough speed and range to be fun and practical and is smoother and safer with it's suspension. But I'm thinking it I only go high speed on smooth roads then I know the non suspension Sherman is still nice with the even distribution of it's heavy weight. It won't take an unexpected pothole like a suspension wheel but this fact should give it and edge over other non suspension EUC's when rolling over anything (Speedy Feet UK said this in a review if I'm not mistaken. He wouldn't do serious off roading like you but general cruising of hitting sticks, branch roots, etc.)

    Totally enjoyed watching your ride. What I am puzzled about is how you've shot your video. Did you edited and how? I can see the gopro stick shadow on the road but not in your video. In Sydney they are not legal yet but I am dying to ride one. Thanks in advance for your eventual reply

      Its a insta 360 cam, painstaking editing. each frame down to the second is selected manually. The shadow is even a thing I have to consider and have improved with keeping out the shot. The cameras are hard to use but offer great footage.

      and dont worry about legality. I have tickets pending and I harass the district attorney, file motions and have had a total blast screwing with the authorities. Stand up for yourslef and go ride!!! Make a video about your compliants and start a youtube channel, show that authoritiies are more concerned over a scooter than real crime and plaster it on every local forum you can find. Give em hell!

    do EUCs let you go more than the max speed if the increased speed is due to downhill and gravity? The V11 has a max speed of 35 mph, but if you were going down hill, will the V11 let the wheel spin freely up to 45 mph, for example? Will it still maitain balance even though the wheel is going faster than the maximum allowed by the programming?

      Same thing I was wondering. I also have the V11 and I wouldn't dare push it that far. I am too big and would die at a cutoff at that speed.

    I thought you can go 35mph the first 20% of the battery. How are you riding at 36mph at 50% battery?

    Chooch, ...awesome vid! I’m 145lbs. With this in mind, should the V11 suspension be at 80 and tire pressure at 18 psi? Thank you!

    How much do you weight? I'm afraid to push my V11 past the base 31mph since I weight 220lbs.

    35mph. Why do I get the wobbles if I go over 27mph. I have yet to go 30mph on the v11. Any idea why I get these wobbles. Maybe I tense up when I get in the high 20.s. get scared i don't know.

      I'm in the same boat as you. I believe that the V11, Kingsong S18, and The Veteran Sherman are able to support our weight, for sure. I'm sure there's more that I'm missing.

    I have a question. I use to place my foot on the pedal a bit on the side and slightly pointing outward. I doubt if I add the same kind of padding as yours would affect me at all. Any tips on how to grip the wheel during air time?
