Absolutely loved this tutorial! The tips on perspective and capturing people in urban settings are so helpful. I can’t wait to try these techniques in my own sketches! 🖌✏
We love watching your process. We're over on the Island. We're most impressed with how quickly you get the outlines / shapes down, and proportions correct especially with ink on a first try and not pencil that you can erase.
Great sketchbook spread! Thank you for sharing tips on drawing perspective and people. It’s something I struggle with, so I don’t try as much as I should. Nice video! ❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely delightful to see you sketching a very complicated scene. Your choice of colors added warmth and interest to this busy street. Pulling the blue sky color into your sketch was very helpful and a skill I will definitely use in my paintings. Thank you Becky
What a wonderful start to a Thursday morning! Thoroughly enjoyed this video Becky. Thank you so much to sharing it. The scene is very interesting and a little busy so I found your process of selecting what to include very informative. I thoroughly enjoy every single one of your videos❤Amy
I have been enjoying, and my drawing and painting have profited from my watching you! I have been learning watercolor by doing and watching for over a year, and I am amazed to see how your style fits into where I am! It helps, of course, that I love your finished pieces. I’ve been sketching with pencil, relying on contour where I can, then inking over the best lines and then working the colors in layers. That idea, that painting a bagel, let’s say, in a light ochre, leaving a highlight empty, and sometimes waiting for it to almost dry before working on its surface…that has been so useful…maybe revolutionary…for me. I’ve always enjoyed contour drawing but seeing what you do has opened my eyes to its use. I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying you on UA-cam. I live in the country, but a half hour each morning with your urban work reminds me of my Long Island/NYC, youthful memories. Thanks for your work. Barb
Dear Becky, Ive loved your videos and have been watching you for a long time. I was wondering if you have ever done an in person meet and sketch together, i live in the same city and love going out to coffee shops and sketch too
Thank you so much for your kind words and support of my videos. I'm truly honored by your request, but unfortunately, I'm unable to meet and sketch together due to my professional commitments and personal preferences. Sketching is a time when I focus on developing my teaching ideas, and I find that I work best in solitude. I hope you can understand, and I greatly appreciate your continued support. ☺️☀️🌈❤️🙏🏻
Super to capture in watercolour some moments in time. We really appreciate the hard work and time spent on your videos.

Thank you, Becky. Another great video, so nice to see it from start to finish with commentary. I’m soaking it all in. 😊

Beautiful drawing, Becky. I like your use of the brown pencil vs. brown ink to draw attention to your focus area.
Thank you so much Mickey 😀

Thank you Becky for teaching by doing❤ Could you please share what kind of tripod you use when you are filming and why you picked that one?😊

A Starbucks? Really?
Yeah, a Starbucks in the lobby of a hotel. :)
