    I needed this demonstration; rendering tulle can be quite complex. I love all the details you expressed! Thank you!

    This is my new favorite UA-cam channel! I really enjoy all of your content. Thank you for all the hard work you do making the content. I'm really learning a lot from you and I don't have the money to attend art school so here I am on You Tube making it happen.

    My bad, but I super enjoy your story-telling more than your illustrations. Kidding aside, it’s such a happy distraction. 😫😜

    Hey Zoe! Great and very clever tutorial! I have two half pan watercolor sets and I can use some markers fundamentals techniques that you explained to apply with. I really want to work with markers but a individual one costs about 9-12 USD here in Brazil... *sigh* So I gonna try to work with gouache/watercolor/colored pencil for now. Did you gonna make more understructure used in gowns, like cage, pocket hoops and hoops? I watched your lace rendering video and Im curious how did you render lace in a flared skirt with a lots drapes and how did you make the hem for this wide gown?
    Ps: Your audio seems off/strange at 9:30 min.

    • @zoehongteaches
      @zoehongteaches  8 років тому

      Understructure vocab video is way, way, way later in the queue. When you're rendering any sort of pattern with drapes, you have to break up the pattern, but still follow the general grainline of the garment. Hems for trains are addressed in my Bridal/Eveningwear vocab video.

    The issue about baby oil is that you're not taking off the excess, it's a tiny amount that we use, it won't make the paper oily once dry

    Is nailpolish remover consider rubbing alcohol?

    • @zoehongteaches
      @zoehongteaches  4 роки тому +1

      Depends on the remover ingredients. You're looking for isopropyl alcohol. Do a test swatch.

    hello Zoe. hope you could help me with something. i noticed you have in your group of pencils there a Derwent blender. i bought it thinking it was a plain blender but when i used it it just darkened and fixed my pencil rendering without blending it as i desired it would. so what is it for?

    • @zoehongteaches
      @zoehongteaches  5 років тому

      The Derwent blender I have is a plain, colorless blender and it blends my colored pencil. Is your tip dirty? Did you smear your graphite pencil into the colored pencil?

    Dear Zoe: I adore you as a teacher. The end. I'm sorry that you got sick, but everybody needs a rest, including you. it's not your fault you're a completely kick-azz prof, but you need down time and if you don't take it, your body will. I speak from experience here. BTW, the corset video would be very welcomed.
