I agree with you 100%, it is a great song, somewhat overlooked. It packs a wallop and makes me cry everytime I listen. Reminds of choices I made that I regret and how much I love my family. This really is a fabulous song !! Way to go Home Free and thank you for your reactions, I Always enjoy watching you react to Home Free, I find they are the only music I listen to now.
As a 59 year old man who missed out on so many things in my kid's lives it makes me wish I had many choices to make again. From now on, may God guide my path and no one else.
That one made me cry. When you're 70 years old and so much of life is memories, I guess you understand how much more important the people in your life are than anything else. How sad when times you can't get back are waisted on things that may be urgent in the moment, but are not important, not important at all. I was so glad when the man whose story we were following in the song decided his family mattered more than his job. (And, of course, I'm here because I am a long time Home Free fan, and I thoroughly enjoy sharing your appreciation as you discover them.)
LOVE your reactions!! Another great few.... “Your Man”...... “Thinkin outloud “..... .....”Meant to Be “........we have 4th row center tickets in Dallas, TX in September........CANNOT WAIT. Hope you get to see them live soon!!!
The thing I love most about Home Free is that they aren't a "oh, that's a cool a capella cover" group. When they do a song, original or cover, it takes a minute to remember that there are no instruments on the track besides their voices (and the beast that is Adam Rupp). And Dive Bar Saints is stacking up to be an undeniable masterpiece of their collective talents. Also, Tim has a writing credit on this song.
Love this song, and your reaction. And its true.. one day comes when almost all you have are those memories. The photographs that are hanging around them were all sent in at their request from their patreons, so they are real memories from their fans.
They did it yet again! Simple, beautiful and poignant song. It's so true that line "how do you want to remember this". Such a meaningful, heart felt song. Thanks for the great reaction. I ADORE Chance's voice, it is beautiful, I agree.
I love this song! It plays in my head even when I’m not listening to it. It’s an important message no only for parents but for adult children making memories with their parents...”One day the memories are all that there is...” Thanks for your reaction.
I love the message of this song. Home Free's harmonies are so tight. They have really matured as a group and their new music is really a reflection of who they are. Right after I got out of the Navy I went to work and ended up working far too many hours in hopes of building a future. Then that company went under … so did my marriage because of my absenteeism. Often we are forced to do things we truly do not want to do or delude ourselves into believing it's for the best until it works out wrong. Do not ever forget to make the truly important things in your life the things that you do. I love this video. I truly like this song.
The feels, though! Being a dad, I know that struggle: work extra to provide your family a better life, or be there with them to provide them a better quality of life. The finance world calls them "opportunity costs." How often in life do we exchange stones for diamonds, but how often do we have to make that trade in order to balance out the scales in life? I feel like that's what this song is trying to highlight.
I love that they put fan photos up for the video, just shows how much they appreciate all of us who love them back! Please do “Can’t Stop The Feeling “ next!
Their new album has 10 original songs and 2 covers which is new for them. I love this song ❤️ On May 24th I found a picture of my other half and I's first date, and on May 25th we celebrated our 20th year together. Finding that picture brought back the memories of that day.
That was exactly reaction I had too. What a great song to remind us what is important in our lives! Thank you for all your Home Free reactions they have been great to watch.
Could haves, should haves, and what ifs. I think we all have them. Just need to remember what is the most important things...making memories with the people we love.
I saw my first Home Free concert earlier this month. I really hope you get to see them in person! You will love them! I love this song! I had already heard the song, but didn't see the video until last night. PERFECT!!!
Great reaction! Until they make it to Australia try viewing some of their live streamed performances on UA-cam. They performed everywhere!! Enjoy! Minnesota Palmer or Dairbanks, Alaska Louisville, Kentucky Bangor Maine at Gracie venue Boston, Massachusetts
This song and video hit me so hard, it made me cry. Tim wrote this song, and he sure knows how to pull on those heart-strings. When my husband feel really sick for a few years, that left me the sole provider for my family. It's not easy making these choices, but sometimes you do what you have to do, rather than what you'd prefer to do. Thank you, for another great reaction!
Ahhh, man, I wrestle with this a lot so this song really hits home. Great message. Family is so important and it's really easy to get caught up in things that seem more important but aren't. Thank you for bringing this one in and reacting to it. I have found myself waiting for your reaction rather than seeking things out on my own. Your channel is like a little surprise gift box waiting every day for me to open. I love it!
I'm not a single dad. But my last job was a contractor on the railroad. Gone 9-10 months out of the year. After 8 years and many regrets for what I'd missed, I quit. Now making half the money that I was, but I'm home. I missed 2 of 3 kids birthdays, and my wife's 50th birthday, to name a couple of things. It hurts to think about all that I missed sometimes. Now I'm making up for time lost, enjoying any time I get with my kids and grandkids.
What a great way to start my day....with this great reaction from you on such an awesome song! According to the BTS...poor Austin was fighting a cold during the shoot and still did a fantastic job! I've watched this so many times and have streamed it for hours on Spotify! As a Patron this song was released to us much earlier! Now we can share it for all to enjoy! I so hope you get to see them live, their shows are all absolutely awesome! I've seen them 4 times and can't wait til they come close again!
So glad you did your reaction so fast!! Your reaction was epic! I saw that smile at the end. Love Home Free and your appreciation for their music is appreciated by the rest of us who watch you!
Just saw it an hour ago!! Love the song and the lyrics, makes you realize again what is really important in live!! Especially when your children are almost grown up , you realize you can't redo the missed moments or do the things you would have done.
Loved your reaction! Probably my favorite part is when the boss is left eating dirt as the dad drives off. :) Looking forward to the next video and looking forward to seeing them next Sat in Nashville for my 1st live HF show.
Great reaction, I just love Home Free and it seems they always make you feel such emotion in their story telling. Two songs from the album so far and I can hardly wait for more. Thanks Pat.
It gets you right in the "cats in the cradle and the silver spoon" feels! I'm not crying, you're crying... Also... still patiently waiting for you to react to Two Cellos "Thunderstruck" music video... (slowly taps fingers on table...)
Just an FYI the photos that are hanging around the guys in the barn are fan photos that fans sent for the video, Not that you can really see most of them lol. But it's fun knowing they used our photos.
HF has said they are trying to book dates in Australia. I'm not trying to make you jealous, but I have 5th row seats for their new tour in October!! Nanananana! lol
This was another original of theirs, more serious video, but a good one. You were the first to react to this so thank you! Please, can you do a reaction to a live performance of theirs? It's an older one, a cover but I love it when they did this song so please react to ua-cam.com/video/k4kDkYqi1ec/v-deo.html

I love this original song - of course the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are perfect - it's Home Free! Thanks for playing this & your comments.
As a 59 year old man who missed out on so many things in my kid's lives it makes me wish I had many choices to make again. From now on, may God guide my path and no one else.
I can’t wait to see them in concert one day too! I really liked the song too - really makes us think about the memories we’re making
Tanks!! for the great reaction.

Another Home Free laugh-stimulating video: 'This Is How We Roll.'

I understand where you are coming from, brother.

Makes you think, doesn't it?
The vocals were awesome, but the background was phenomenal.
The camera was a Polaroid SX70 Land camera. Had one and it was great camera and an innovation for the time. Still have some photos I took with it.
This was another original of theirs, more serious video, but a good one. You were the first to react to this so thank you! Please, can you do a reaction to a live performance of theirs?
