Awesome videos you guys have been putting out...But what I have yet to see in one of these "Easter Egg" videos is the easter egg regarding "Earth Girls are Easy" starring Jeff Goldblum. The theme that plays in the Grand Master's orgy ship is very similar to the theme in Earth Girls are Easy...
The third Iron Man film centered around the destruction of Tony’s armor, the third Captain America was the destruction of the Avengers, the third Thor movie centered around Asgard being destroyed, and the third Avengers saw the wiping out of half the universe. The MCU has a history of thirds being destructive. Wonder what this could mean for Spider-Man 3 and GotG 3?
I can tell you right now that the "destruction" in GotGv3 is Rocket's death, alright so maybe that's not quite it but you can't convince me that Rocket will survive Vol. 3
No one ever mentions the continuation of the Rock Paper Scissors joke. "We started a revolution but I didn't print enough pamphlets so no one showed up" Paper defeats Rock
I love how in the first scene taika focuses on mjiolnir and giving it a soul 1:25 and then korg (played by taika) is the person to compare mjiolnir to person and saying that is was comparable to losing a loved ones
The part where Thor and Hulk are fighting in the arena, and Thor tries to slam the huge hammer into Hulk, but Hulk stops it with one hand is similar to when Ironman and Cull Obsidian are fighting at the park in Infinity War, and Cull throws the huge hammer with the chains at Ironman but Spiderman stops it just in time (the same way as Hulk did).
One thing I’ve noticed that is constantly missed , is when Heimdall rescues the Asguardians from Helas’ army, the sigil on the floor at the gate is the Vegvisir (which in Nordic history, was used as a symbol of safe passage when going on journeys)
This movie has nothing to do with Nordic history. It's an insult to everything that is Scandinavia. Cultural appropriation without any respect for that culture, or even basic understanding.
This movie has nothing to do with Nordic history. It's an insult to everything that is Scandinavia. Cultural appropriation without any respect for that culture, or even basic understanding.
Almost every character in this film had me in stitches, one surprise was the Grandmasters assistant! “ And the slaves have armed themselves” “ ooo, I don’t like that word” “sorry the prisoners with jobs have armed themselves” 😂😂😂
I feel like after the giant wolf bit hulk and drew blood that was a big hit to his ego and confidence in himself (like how in some movies its like if you can make a God bleed then you can kill him, that its possible) so after that when Thanos beat hulk its like "that wolf made me bleed and I almost lost, then I lost to thanos so why come out and help banner during infinity war if I'm just going to lose again" Like it was big hits to his self esteem because hulk never loses and never gets even a scratch
When Thor tells Dr Strange that his hair is not to be messed with, another Dr Strange shows up behind him to pull it out, meaning that Infinity War wasn't the first time he duplicated himself!
My only small complaint about the movie is when thor and valkyrie are fighting hela I wanted hela to talk more trash to valkyrie about killing all the valkyrie
20:02 they may have been halved by Thanos and crew but as we learned being killed by Thanos does not count towards the Snap tally. Nor does those killed return by Banner's Blip. So those that escaped are still halved in the Snap only to return in the Blip later.
The pose that Thor makes when he tries to leave Hulk's room on Sakaar is similar to the pose he makes when he holds open the mechanism of the forge in Infinity War
There is a plot hole I found between Thor Ragnarok and Infinity War, but it’s pretty complicated so I’ll do my best to explain it. So Valkyrie says that they can refuel on Xandar and arrive on Asguard in 18 months. This means that the two planets are extremely far apart. Then, in Infinty War, the Asguardians are leaving Asguard and heading towards Earth. Thanos arrives and steals the space stone from them. After this, when Thor meets the guardians of the galaxy, he tells them that Thanos stole the power stone from Xandar “last week.” This means that Thanos would have needed to have traveled all the way from Xandar to the Asguardians ship, which couldn’t have been too far from Asguard as Infinity War picks up right after Ragnarok ends, in under a week. This is impossible because it is supposed to take 18 months of travel time to get from one to the other. There, I hope that made sense, lol
Great stuff! Just a small correction, however: the shirt Banner wore was of Duran Duran's Rio album cover. Though technically 'Hungry Like The Wolf' is a song, part of that album, the shirt was not specific to it. There! Now I will be able to sleep tonight.
I'll never forget the 1st time I watched this I absolutely lost my shit when Banner uses his face to break his fall into the Rainbow Bridge like a dead fish!! 😹😅🙃🥴🤯
yeah cuz theres always something that breaks our heart like in civil war, avengers broke up, thor ragnarok, asgard got destroyed and thanos coming, and in infinity war is the snap
The giant wooden fork that Korg is offering to Thor is actually a giant cannibal fork that has origins in Polynesia and other Pacific island cultures. It's a callback to Taika being of Maori descent.
I like the connection between the Collector and Grand Master. They are both collectors of sorts if you think about it: one collects rare things in the universe, the other collects things that are lost in the universe.
I had always thought the "I'm not a witch", "Then why are you dressed like one?" line was in reference to Matthew McConaughey's portrayal in The Dark Tower. Both in all black suits, slicked back dark hair, have magical powers. Plus that movie was released about 6 months prior to Thor Ragnarok, with promo trailers even earlier, so they would have easily had time to slide the reference in. Just a thought.
I love how clever they were with the timeline of this movie, explaining why both Hulk and Thor weren't involved in "Civil War". You have to wonder though which sides would they have chosen?
just noticed that in avengers when loki shouts kneel half his face is cast in blue while half remains the same, showing the conflict between his two halves and the chaos he revels in because of it
That Taika ship reminded me of the safety cube ship that Leela buys in Futurama with the squishy plush interior lmao My boy Taika designed a nice safe ship. If only Thor chose that one...
Some people thought that the Immigrant Song was about Hela because of the line "I come from the land of ice and snow" but Hela dwells in Nelfilheim, the land of mists and shadows. The only one that line could be referring to is Loki who was born on Jotunheim, the land of eternal winter.

Long time fan, I love you guys’ content and I appreciate that it didn’t have to be cancelled like everything else rn
These rewatches are the only thing keeping me going
Same
Yes sir!
I feel this
no doubt
Happy to help! Hang in there!
Still am baffled with how incredible this film was, Ive seen it maybe 12 times now and find more and more easter eggs every time!
same
Someone deep down in the comments said it was the worst.
Us too! One of the most rewarding to rewatch!
Yeah this is actually my favorite MCU film. I don't typically like to rewatch stuff often, but I can always be in the mood to rewatch this.
I have actually only seen it once the other day

The complete and total Destruction of the deal between Disney and Sony and the revival of Tobey Maguire in dr strange 2
@@RickyRat256 Good one! 😂😂🙌🙌

James Gunn has said that gotg 3 is the last one
Nice catch. All of these "thirds" are a reference to the Book of Revelation, where a Third of everything is struck during the Wrath of God.
No one ever mentions the continuation of the Rock Paper Scissors joke.
"We started a revolution but I didn't print enough pamphlets so no one showed up"
Paper defeats Rock
Came for here for that. Take my like!
And Korg (the rock monster) accidentally stepped on Meik (scissor hands), showing "rock crushes scissors".
They mentioned it before. This is a rewatch. Don't expect a detailed video of everything.
@@BigJeremyBeyer they mentioned it
You missed Korg telling Thor “I tried to start a revolution, but I didn’t print enough pamphlets” pamphlets are printed on paper, so paper beat rock.
That's hilarious
Thats awsome
Or lack thereof...
Lmfao
Also later he crushes meek with scissors, rock beats scissors
Honestly Thor has been through SO much as a character, this is my fav film for sure 🥰
He's somehow made more of a transformation throughout the MCU than Bruce Banner
I love how in the first scene taika focuses on mjiolnir and giving it a soul 1:25 and then korg (played by taika) is the person to compare mjiolnir to person and saying that is was comparable to losing a loved ones

The same way hulk did with hulkbuster
I think that's a reach.
No point in letting all that mocap animation go to waste.
Disney has always loved doing that.
Stan lee cut hulks hair by saying "dont let me beat you up you punk"
And hulk got scared.
That explains it!
You can't blame Hulk. Who wouldn't get scared? lol
BotIcy yes Stan Is OP
First hulk asked for his autograph then Stan said that lol
The Hulk doesn't fit in the Batmobile.
The immigrant song also works because the asgardians are immigrants at the end of this movie
Great observation!
Yeah
Not really though. They're refugees at the end of Ragnarok. They become immigrants in Infinity War.
Your a immigrant
@@saveweir92 still a good detail then

Topaz was funny, just calling Valkyrie trash for no reason made me chuckle.

I love when Thor gets smashed around and Loki yells “YES THATS HOW IT FEELS”
Best part of the movie.
“Just like my dad in the Home Depot garden isle”
I’m dead 🤣
Credit to Off-Screen Producer Zach for that joke!

I love Thor Ragnarok especially because of Taika
13:37- that part is hilarious...the look on Thors face 🤣🤣🤣
these rewatches are actually my oxygen right now 😂😂😂😂. But it's coming to an end soon 🥺🥺😔😔
Once we finish the Infinity Saga, we'll start a new rewatch series -- plus lots more Marvel videos from the stuff we found over these past months!
Well you better get a breath tank
The day Thor said "help my brother is dying" is the same day that Thanos killed loki
“We are not doing get help”
**not one second later**
“GET HELP!”
actually they were traveling in space on the grandmasters ship for a couple weeks before thanos arrived
Erik has been using a new "welcome back" lately. Thought we wouldn't notice, but we did
These rewatches keep me alive in the quarantine 😭 these are gonna end soon....
Sir which other series are we gonna rewatch???
YOU WILL CHOOSE!
Star wars
Could you just maybe rewatch the dcau
When Thor tells Dr Strange that his hair is not to be messed with, another Dr Strange shows up behind him to pull it out, meaning that Infinity War wasn't the first time he duplicated himself!
literally rewatched the movie this morning bc I knew this rewatch was coming
5:30 or so - Beer instead of tea for transportation relief could also be a nod to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I can't believe ducktales season 3 episode 7 copied Thor Ragnorok
...Thor rewrites HISTORY! Hulk-tales, whoo-hoo!
Last time I was this early, Terrance Howard was still War Machine
Boom!
Ya lookin' for this!
I’ve noticed that all three of the trinity’s movies end with our heroes losing everything only to come back stronger
My only small complaint about the movie is when thor and valkyrie are fighting hela I wanted hela to talk more trash to valkyrie about killing all the valkyrie

They can have unlimited STONKS of fuel tho
Maybe, Thanos's Sanctuary II ship has an advanced warp capabilities

After watching every rewatch so far:
"The end is near..." - Thanos
I like how hela wanted the sword to travel across the nine realms but the space stone was in Asgards vault.
I'll never forget the 1st time I watched this I absolutely lost my shit when Banner uses his face to break his fall into the Rainbow Bridge like a dead fish!! 😹😅🙃🥴🤯
Have you ever thought about doing movie commentaries on the MCU ??? I'd love to watch along with you guys !
You miss the fact Chris Hemsworth improvised the Loki being a snake and stabbing thor as children
Ah yes, the scene in which Thor probes Loki

Everytime I try it just feels like I watched them already
I'm have a few dvds and I use netflix and disney+
I’ve watch the entire series 4 times
Us too
I've watched every mcu movie too many rimes to count
"BIG MONSTER!!!"
My favorite Hulk line.
20:12 Thor splits the remaining asgardians in half setting up half of them dying in infinity war
ACCEPTING FATE!
The giant wooden fork that Korg is offering to Thor is actually a giant cannibal fork that has origins in Polynesia and other Pacific island cultures. It's a callback to Taika being of Maori descent.
I watched Thor Ragnarok at .25 speed and this is what I found!
Aka I looked at reddit for 14 minutes and this is what people said
Damn! 😂😂😂
This is literally my fav UA-cam channel
Also just watched thor ragnarok for my mcu marathon wow well actually like maybe I don't know 11 hours ago
Damn I’m only up to Age of Ultron
The visuals from the fight in the Bifrost reminded me of the Alex Ross paintings from the Earth X comics.
Luke Hemsworth was the knock off Thor in the beginning? Pretty interesting.👍🏼
At the scene where the tree is on fire it reminds me of that scene from the return of the king
Thor ragnorock is my favorite none avengers mcu film I can’t wait for love and thunder
If it ever comes out
I like the connection between the Collector and Grand Master. They are both collectors of sorts if you think about it: one collects rare things in the universe, the other collects things that are lost in the universe.
With all these details videos, imagine if you guys were around when LOST was a thing.
Tony's shirt is Duran Duran's Rio cover, not Hungry Like the Wolf...
Actually each third movie sees supposed foundations dismantled for these heroes.
Bouncing the ball against the wall is a classic reference to Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. You see it everywhere.
Thor Ragnarok > Thor the dark world and Thor 2011
Well, obviously.
Thor ragnorok > every other marvel movie
I had always thought the "I'm not a witch", "Then why are you dressed like one?" line was in reference to Matthew McConaughey's portrayal in The Dark Tower. I never realized Hulk"s ass was in this movie.......now I will forever be scarred
A lot of these Easter eggs are ones I’ve never noticed before!
What if the blue dungeon was another color.... like maybe green
Now that we’ve watched Loki. Isn’t that a Pruning stick the grandmaster pardoned his cousin with? The same prune stick from the TVA?
I saw this movie on a plane ride while heading abroad and am forever thankful because without it I would never have been a marvel fan.
In Loki's death in dark world it plays the same funeral song
Them: Continues to explain the movie
Me: laughing over the acting out of Loki’s death

When Thor goes through groovy tunnel. Am sure I see Beta Ray Bill himself fighting there too. Very quick flash but sure it’s him in armour.
I want a shirt that says "Asgard is not a place, it's a peephole" 😂
