Might want to rethink your profile picture if you want to discover feminine divine purity in this world. Women are selling their souls and talking of spiritual truth having not purified their own intentions. I realize you will be enraged at this comment, probably. I'm a sister simply asking you to rethink how you project yourself into this world. These prophecies are for those who are ready for the initiation. How we see women in the news, media, hollywood, and the music industry is a slap in the face to the great Mother. It is an abomination actually..

Indigenous people of Europe, and Slavic nations prior to the spread of Abrahamic religions they lived no different from the native Americans as far as living in perfect harmony and balance with your local environment and ecosystem, following nature based native spiritual heritage that is unique to your own tribal folk traditions. Respecting mother Earth, viewing organic nature, and life as sacred and divine. All indigenous people lived this way prior to Abrahamism. My ancestors are Slavic on my mother side and Armenian on my father’s side. I was born and raised in Russia, but for the past few decades I’ve lived in USA. If you are of a European origins, please don’t make mistake by thinking that you don’t have the same type of heritage and rich folklore as the Native Americans do. I urge people to explore their ethnic pre-Christian roots, learn about your ancestors that were before Christianity took over, and you will be surprised to find a very rich heritage and tribal ethnic folklore and native spiritual heritage that is unique to your own tribe. Today we collectively call it paganism, but that’s a blanket statement. By exploring your ethnic groups, you will learn all of the same folk stories, you will discover folk art, folk songs and dances, folk traditions, celebrations, food, and their own tribal worldview that was very similar and in some cases identical to Native Americans, and to basically all pre-Christian indigenous peoples around the world.

Beautifully well-said. I think you may enjoy my episode on Brigid, and/or the accompanying podcast conversation with Laura Daligan (a brilliant friend and Celtic neopagan.) We found quite a few parallels and influences between the traditional polytheistic and Abrahamic monotheistic stories and practices.
It would appear that at the foundation of just about every tradition is a special place for humanity in the relationship between divinity and the world. I personally see that in the Abrahamic faiths as well, though today that relationship is often very sadly forgotten or purposefully pushed aside to make way for the various political and economic “-ism”s that we often treat like divinity.
Thank you for sharing your unique perspective! Я благодарю вас )) I hope that you’ll stick around and share your thoughts on some of the other essays I’ve made! My goal is to have this be a place for us all to share and find the harmonies in these stories, and your voice is certainly a welcome one :)

Jesus healed using natural methods and the Creator's help, much like the Medicine Men and Women of traditional Native tribes. He also appeared to the Paiutes Wovoka, giving them a dance and song to rid the world of evil. Jesus promised them their shirts would stop any bullets from penetrating the fabric. They disobeyed and tried to use the dance and song to rid the world of white people. This led to the Wounded Knee massacre. Their shirts did not protect them. However, when Russell Means and members of AIM took over Wounded Knee in 1973, they were praying in a good way in a tipi. They were so focused on their prayers that they didn't know they were being fired upon by federal agents. After the prayer, Russell went outside to see casings all over and found bullets lodged in the tipi fabric! They were protected because they were praying in a good way. 🪶

It is one thing to have these things in our culture and tradition but quite another to understand the seasons, the land, the waters, the trees as a gift from Great Spirit . We in the west are constantly losing our way and the results tell us this. The Native American peoples are teachers of truths of nature and the self . These are Holy Truths that only the wise can listen to and implement

    • @mythosandlogos
      @mythosandlogos  6 місяців тому

I read a book, “How To Read Nature,” by Tristan Gooley, with different exercises for connections with the natural world. He said when he does them in Japan, people say they’re very Japanese; when he does them in Germany people say they’re very German; when he does them in the US people say they’re very American. There is such a human connection to nature, and we have a lot to learn from cultures which are less removed from that.

    PATREON: www.patreon.com/mythosandlogos
I believe this story provides an excellent picture of the key values shared by many Native American cultures. While we may already have beautiful preconceived images of Native American cultures, studying the stories at their foundations provides a far deeper and fuller picture. The Chanunpa Sacrament is an excellent re-presentation of the traditional Lakota values and worldview.

@@DarkhorseDescendant Thank you for your comment. My intention is to tell a story to an audience and reference to the person who originally told it; no different in my intent than writing an essay or a book. This channel covers stories from all around the world, with the goal of creating mutual respect. I also make a point to only share stories that have already been shared with outsiders (as Lame Deer shared this story with Richard Erdoes, a Hungarian-American author.)
For transparency, I do collect Patreon donations (in most months I break about even or come out about $10 in the green, since I support others) and run ads on UA-cam, which I limit to avoid midroll ads. When the channel first became eligible for monetization, I actually ran a poll to gauge audience feelings on monetization, which was decidedly in favor.
All in all, when you consider how much time I put into creating these, I probably come out a bit below US minimum wage. I’m fortunate enough to have a day job and not need to depend on this for a living.
So, in short, while this project does have some commercial impact, I hope it is clear that I earnestly try to do that as responsibly as possible.

Wah! Lovely story. Thanks for sharing! It is especially potent currently since I just read a report of a possible white buffalo calf having been seen recently. Can’t. Remember where though. But I feel it is right on time- coinciding with thee possibility of nuclear war now closer than ever. But the emergence of the white buffalo calf reminds us that as the entire world may be going completely insane, we do not have to go with it! Each of us can at any time, choose to widen the scope of our prayers and our heart to include our entire Human family, as the Native Americans always have and live our life with more thankfulness for everything we have been and continue to be given and to learn to be grateful for those things and no longer continue to be so needful and forever unfulfilled in life. I hope peace and joy and love for all life, find their way into everyone’s reality, during this time of “choosing”… ❤

At first I thought this woman in a white dress and black hair and dark skin was my wife but she was too tall to be my wife. I was frightened and awoke when I noticed her floating over my computer desk but she didn’t try to hurt me or even say anything but I know it was her now and it gives me peace to know my ænima is now developed

On August 20, 1994, a white buffalo calf called Miracle was born on a farm in Janesville, Wisconsin. She is believed to be the first white buffalo calf born since 1933. It is important to note that Miracle was a very rare white buffalo and not to be mistaken with an albino buffalo. To the American Indians, the birth of Miracle was the fulfillment of their legends, as if the Great Spirit wished to bring hope and peace to all nations and people. As of today, the last known white buffalo calf, Baby, was born July 4, 2012 in Avon, Minnesota, but sadly died two weeks later.

This is a nice oresentation, but for sacred histories like that of White Buffalo Calf Woman, and any other native oral history for that matter- seek native sources. There are several good ones on YT, look for Albert White Hat, the Densmore Repatriation Project is another good one to explain a little more, and in native way, White Buffalo Calf Woman. BTW- the two men in the story are brothers.

    • @mythosandlogos

Well said, and those are great resources that I wasn’t familiar with but am happy to learn of now. I always do my best to make sure that I’m retelling stories that I’ve found from around the world and citing the original sources; by no means does that mean we should disregard the treasure that is storytellers of still-living traditions!
Especially with Native American stories, my goal in presenting in this format alongside Greek, Abrahamic, and others, is to hope that more people will give them the respect that they show the stories from more familiar cultures. And even more so, recognize the blessing that we still have native teachers today, where we don’t have access to Homer or Virgil anymore.
      Thanks for your comment ♥️

Subscribed. You are a wonderful human. I don't meet them often living here in the States... As an ancient soul who has been incarnating in many countries for thousands of years (much I can still remember) I came to incarnate in this nation in the final days to share this wisdom myself. I was thrown out like garbage in America by many, but particularly by other women who didn't see me as "hip" enough to run in their social elite circles. I wonder how many other great sisters in spirit were denied in this nation in favor of the superficial, the lying temptresses, the ego-maniac social media addicted narcissists, and those who follow them in America. We are truly living in those last days. We have forgotten what the holy mother truly is or what her face truly looks like. We have thrown tomatoes at her and forced her out of this land. The great shift cannot not come soon enough. I pray that the universe unleashes upon this earth the same amount of suffering which was inflicted upon the Mother. She was traded in for a a basket of lying vipers, male and female agents who serve the wrong "Father" and his band of women who claim to be sharing holiness while sharing nothing but manipulation, deception, and a mask. America now stands as the high chair of the Satanic forces..

Yes the native American culture certainly had wonderful aspects. It's spiritual approach was extremely respectful and honoring of Creator and mother Gaia.
And yet there is an aspect to some of the native American tribes that is not often considered. There were tribes such as the Lakota, the Cherokee, the Apache murdered and raped and destroyed many Indian nations.
It wasn't only the white man who did the murdering.
