Really happy to see those honeydews :)
But they didn't have any grapes, do they? Did you find some quality grapes in CR aswell?

      Great eye and great question.
Costa Rica has amazing fruit but it’s mostly tropical and much of it is different from what I grew up with in the states.
Apples, Peaches and Grapes are temperate climate fruits. I’ve heard these are grown in higher elevations around Dota and the Cerro de la Muerte in Costa Rica. You will not find these fruits at most farmer markets but if you do, they probably came from Mexico or Chile.
The larger chain grocery stores in CR usually sell these fruits, but it’s rare for me to find them in good quality and they are very expensive. In this case, I think they where grown in the states, frozen then imported (don’t quote me on this, I haven’t looked in to my theory).
You didn’t ask but it’s worth noting, American style oranges and cherries can be hard to find and lemons are extremely rare.

@@BloggingMoneyLife Thanks for the fast and lenghty reply. :)
It's interesting, because I've seen videos from people in Thailand growing grapes, although I do not know at which altitude that was.
I think everything comes at a cost, so the tradeoff for amazing tropical fruit might be average and/or expensive temperate clite fruits. I'll check that out once I come back to CR.
      Much love from germany!

      What up Ryan!
Baby Luca was born last month, and we now have a happy, healthy US/Tico baby boy. He keeps us pretty busy, so we haven't had much time to work on our blog/vlog, but we will get his birthing story out as soon as we can. We had a few surprises and learned a lot during this process. I'm sure sharing our story can help people going through a similar experience.
I see your channel is growing nicely. Keep up the excellent work.

@@BloggingMoneyLife congratulations! 🍾🎈🎉🎊 very happy for you both. Especially being a mixed kid like me and my lil one. You two are very lucky. It’s a lot of work for sure, some days suck, but that one little smile makes it all worth it. We’re definitely counting on your story to help us make a decision for the next one! We were extremely happy with Mexico but want to plant another flag
