    Beautiful bike.
    To short out the water collection you always can drill a little hole or cut an slot into the external tap ring.

    For those who have issues with sticky fuel caps: try coating the surface with EZ turn lubricant.

    Great update, thank you. I've gone down the 3D Moto route with the fuel cap, and thankfully still have both testicles : )
    ...and it's another yes for the phone mount if he could manufacture for a Montana 600 cradle...

    Enjoy the vids. Hope you get to ride more soon. Off topic, but have you ever watched Project Amber on UA-cam? He seems to be a kindred spirit. Maybe from the same part of England as you? Nice update Greg, thanks. It sounds like you still are happy with the PR7. Beautiful bike but they seem few and far between here in the US. I saw that you have the AS mini fairing on your 500KTM. Can you tell me whether it blocks the view of the speedo or does it sit far enough forward? Thanks and sorry about the lockdown. At least you can still Shoot & Ride...from the couch.

    • @GregVillalobos
      @GregVillalobos  3 роки тому

      You can adjust the angle of the Mini Fairing. On my EXC you can see the speedo when sat down. Others have actually moved their speedo onto the Mini Fairing - take a look at this vid if you haven't seen it already - ua-cam.com/video/gjopKrgjfkg/v-deo.html

    Been cross shopping a T7 versus a 701 versus a CRF450RL. Because of the pandemic, none are readily available, however, a local shop (Seattle) does have a PR7 coming in. I ride off road - driving roads to get to the trails. Reliability is key because I ride solo in remote areas. Weight makes me leery of the T7 (and getting one is not likely to happen soon). I need a comfort and power upgrade over my WR250R. What's your thought of the PR7 versus the T7 (enjoyed your video on the T7)?

    • @GregVillalobos
      @GregVillalobos  3 роки тому +1

      For me the T7 is too big for trail riding. Now that really depends on the trails and your ability, but if you consider that you may drop the bike a lot on harder stuff you are going to need to be very fit to pick up the T7 a lot. My PR7 has about 3000 miles and no major issues, a few niggles but nothing major. If you go down the PR7 route factor in a few months to get to know the bike and iron out some of the stuff that's bound to crop up. The FB Groups are really helpful. :-)

    • @MichaelShaw206
      @MichaelShaw206 3 роки тому

      @@GregVillalobos Given that both bikes are same price where I live, can I assume you would choose the PR7 over the T7? Due current market/pandemic conditions, I can't test ride either so I'm looking insight before I put down a deposit on either (and wait months while I ride my WR250R).

    • @MichaelShaw206
      @MichaelShaw206 3 роки тому

      @@GregVillalobos Took your advice and checked out the Facebook groups. I finally get to see a PR7 this week. If the test ride works out, I will buy it. While it's not street legal in the US, I can likely get it plated in Washington State. While the T7 is an excellent bike, I will be trail riding most of the time and really don't want to struggle with the weight. I'm coming up to 60 yoa, and I'm not getting any stronger. I don't even wish to go fast anymore. I just want to ride and take some photos. I need one of your stickers! Thanks so much for your insight.

      I'm same height as you. It's tall but not impossible by any stretch. You just ride around it and learn how to position yourself when getting on and off. That said, I am always jealous of taller riders on the tricker stuff, but what you gonna do!?!

  • @bernardlelamme7214

    So you get rid of the tablet… which is a main reason to choose for AJO PR7… did you get any issues with it?

    • @GregVillalobos
      @GregVillalobos  3 роки тому

      I wouldn't say that's the main reason for buying the PR7. The tablet that comes with the bike is a fairly cheap Samsung Tab. Mine failed when water got into it. More info here - ua-cam.com/video/Kp1ojTDJuv0/v-deo.html - it's an easy job to upgrade.

      @@GregVillalobos Thank you for your answer. Yes I said "a main reason". Really sorry (for me) to hear that water in an issue with the tablet… I hope that "my" 2021 version of it will do the job a bit better. Thank you for the link with your Garmin review I must say that, being also an Apple User, the OSmAnd app for Android is quite interesting and cheap. My piece.
