The information about the "44 key technologies to dominate the world" comes from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute's (ASPI) Critical Technology Tracker. According to this report, China is leading in 37 of the 44 critical technologies evaluated, which include areas like AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology. This highlights the significant role these technologies play in global influence and power. You can read more in the ASPI report. www.aspi.org.au/report/critical-technology-tracker

This focus doesn't mean other countries aren't innovating-it's just that China's rapid advancements and dominance in multiple fields stand out as a major trend globally.

No 🤔, The data comes from an independent study conducted by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), which monitors global technological advancements. Their report shows China leading in 37 of 44 key technologies based on measurable metrics like research output and innovation quality.

China is highlighted in the video because recent studies, like the one from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), show that China is leading in 37 of 44 critical technologies globally. This focus doesn't mean other countries aren't innovating-it's just that China's rapid advancements and dominance in multiple fields stand out as a major trend globally.

@@Ryuuito_s every country people have power to innovate but lag behind because of lack of opportunity

@@Helluva.Explainer to me it felt very one sided as i would generally think USA and UK would lead in some at least. But you kept mentioning China like 100 times as if this was a promoted video by China😂

I read the paper, the paper had a flaw: most of the data come from the research paper that got put out by countries. Here is the problem: China did put out a lot of research paper on these field, but it mostly are theory or experimental. For applicable factor, China is way way behind other country like Russia or US. For example: Advanced Aircraft Engine - China invest a lot of money to research for their own Jet engine, but still can't do much without materials and chemical components needed to create their own, which is dominated by Russia and US Allies, hence their Jet engine technology is still years behind Russia and US for fighter Jet and UK for commercial airliner Jet.
AI - Yes the great achievement of 21st century - China have the greatest AI research since 2016, when the west finally got their eyes on AI, they read China's research paper and realized they are way behind in this field compare to China, but for applicable ideas for AI is not come from China, since they use it mostly used for surveillance in China, and the US overtake China in term of turning AI into a real applicable function for other field, OpenAI and chat GPT come from US, not China. Also AI or Machine Learning or what, they still need a computer and a semiconductor chip to function - these field are dominated by US allies, namely ASML and TSMC. So yeah China may need some help to turn their theory and experimental ideas to reality.
Also IMO, the real key technologies to dominate the world is: Mining, Metallurgy, Chemicals, Semiconductors, Precise Machining, Robot and Programming. Most of these field are dominated by either US or US Allies, so good luck to China to dominate the world.

Thanks for the insight! You're right that China has made significant progress in research, but when it comes to real-world application, they still face challenges, especially in fields like jet engines and semiconductors. While China leads in AI research, the U.S. is ahead in applying it, as seen with innovations like OpenAI. Key industries like semiconductors and robotics are still dominated by U.S. and allied companies. These factors highlight the complex balance between research and real-world implementation. Appreciate your thoughtful input!

LLM is a false start. China is still the leader in AI.
