Before the 5.3 in the workrig completely lets go it would be cool to see the inside of it and see how bad (or maybe good) the internals are and do a really cheap rebuild. I almost feel bad seeing it get torn up but it looks scrapyard bound anyways but it has at least brought a lot of laughs and entertainment to people
The G80 rear end stands for govern lock, where it locks when it senses one wheel spinning at a certain RPM faster than the other one. The G80 rear end has a centrifugal weight in it that is speed sensing, so it unlocks the rear end when it senses a wheel speed of over like 35 mph. You can mod a G80 buy cutting the weight off of it so that when it senses wheel spin, it will go full posi at any wheel speed.
Rebel Mechanics yep, I have a g80 in my 02 Silverado 1500 and I know exactly what you mean by that. But if you still wanted to use a g80 instead of a mini spool, you can override the feature that makes it unlock by cutting a weight off if I remember right. Just look up a video of it on here. The point of the safety feature is so that in the northern states, if you hit a patch of ice doing 50, it doesn’t lock posi and spin you out of control.

If your going to do nitrous do a 150 shot on a single nozzle setup. and the best thing to do would be to put arp head bolts on it instead of the studs. That would be better than using the stock torque to yeild bolts especially with all the added pressure the nitrous puts on the head bolts. The stock bottom end should handle it no problem.

Emiliano Aldana depends on the one you get. Injectors go out on LB7s, LLYs have head gasket issues if you don’t do the proper upgrades and LBZs and LMMs don’t really have issues if deleted
