I daily a 2004 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 4x4. It's currently at 436,250 miles. I have my wife driving my old 1999 Silverado 1500 2wd 5.3. It's currently 302,550 miles. Both still boil both back wheels when you smack em. The LS motor is unbelievably dependable if you just keep the oil changed, I've rebuilt both trucks tranny's at around 275,000 miles, and a dozen or so alternators, water pumps, coil packs, wheel bearings and a few fuel pumps but they always got me home even if they were stuck in 2nd gear or running on 5 cylinders. I'll only buy GM products that have at least 200,000 miles on them. Parts are everywhere used and new.... I just can't bring myself to pay 40,000 dollars for a truck I'm scared to scratch or snatch on. Love Chevy's
You're doing a smart thing only buying old ones with over 200,000 because the new ones are junk along with the whole of GM itself these days especially with their 2018 Impalas blowing Motors at less than 20K in a bad recall they had
That 4l60 and 5.3 has God mode turned on. Long live the work rig. Hell yeah that was good enough for a 20k, nice clip in the Camaro too! Appreciate the awesome videos, yall keep it up. lol
Phucking awesome! Those 5.3's are strong. I drive my 02 Silverado the same way, but you guys take it to a whole new level!! Bouncing off that rev limiter!!!

I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain its "faster" because its so worn. Its bearings an rings are proly gone an so there's in theory less resistance in the engine....
