Carl Palmer's drum solo for the Return of ELP tour proves he's one of the all time greatest drummers

Carl Palmer is no doubt one of the greatest British drummers of our time. He provided an absolute drum clinic for us at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater during his Return of ELP tour on February 23, 2024. Keep in mind this 73 year old musician had heart surgery back in August!

This man is in his 70s I would think. What we are hearing is an insane amount of commitment on his part so that he can play at this level. Make no mistake about it. It is extremely hard work! I’m 68 years old and trying to keep my chops up on guitarhas become very challenging as I fight the inevitable physical decline of older age.

Absolute Rock and Drumming Royalty. Saw ELP in '78 at Nassau Coliseum, LI, NY and I sat right in back of Carl. Got to see every move he made during that show. His solo back then on the manually turned revolving drum stage was stellar! That show was recorded and released just a few years ago.

Carl Palmer is no doubt one of the greatest drummers. He was first to introduce things that has made Rock and Roll, Prog Rock, Fusion and more what it is today. Thanks for posting man.
