    The max vision visor sounds like a big improvement.

    I’m an Arai guy and I currently ride mostly with a Corsair X. I love the look of my XD-4 in the same color way as yours. The new XD-5 looks great and while I typically don’t buy black helmets, the subtlety of the graphics on that on really look 🔥.
    Here’s the but…I can’t stand the buffering created by the peak on my XD-4. How’s the XD-5 in that regard?

    • @MotoBeemer
      @MotoBeemer  2 місяці тому +1

      So yes…the new peak is supposed to be more aerodynamic reducing wind noise which, I believe to be true. Fair to mention, I don’t wear ear plugs when I ride…probably should. But the helmet does seem to do better with the newly styled peak on it. Once you go to the 5, the 4 will remain on your shelf

      Everything seems to be pricey, for 5 years this helmet would be well worth it.

    Nice review, thank you. Wore their helmets for years, street and MANY motocross helmets over the years. Now older (I think the rule is over 50 must own GS/GSA right😂), wearing a Klim Krios Pro. Fantastic helmet and the company themselves are built up of absolutely AMAZING people.
    So I had nothing but good experiences in the past wearing Arai helmets so why am I not using their ADV helmet now? Well, rule number one 😂. Just kidding, but honestly, aesthetics for this new one are improved in my opinion.

    • @MotoBeemer
      @MotoBeemer  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes!! Adherence to rule one my friend 😊. There are a few red/white/blue designs on this new one that are choice as well. To your point, many guys will rock a plain white Arai and that’s not at all in compliance with Rule 1. Also, I got my GS in my early 40’s, why did you wait so long?

      @@MotoBeemer To busy fishing lol. I had 4 other motorcycles from age 41 until age 50. Basically lost interest, stated spending most weekends with family seeking out boat accessible only beaches, inshore and offshore fishing. Last year the bug came back hard at 58. Have a great day sir

    Got mine from Europe (3 months before hit US market, $300 cheaper), coming from top ADV Klim helmet, Arai is a bit heavier, wormer. missing fidlock ( got some quick shit from Amazon, works good), missing light sensitive visor and the most what irritates me is not enough of room in front of mouth when I am trying to hydrate while riding, other that solid lid, cheers V!

    • @MotoBeemer
      @MotoBeemer  2 місяці тому +1

      I do agree the mouth clearance is tight if trying to stick a hydration hose in there. What visor do you have now? I’m waiting on a mirrored one to arrive as well.

      @@verdonrocksphotography3510 That's actually why I fitted the Denali lights to my bike. I got tired of getting caught in the dark so instead of going clear shield, I just went brighter lights. 😂

    Hey @MotoBeemer what's that XD-5 specific chin mount? Thx!

    • @MotoBeemer
      @MotoBeemer  Місяць тому

      It’s from Chinmounts.com for the XD5, I would avoid their mounting (the small connecting pieces) hardware however, in my experience it’s not as sturdy as aftermarket aluminum or the GoPro main mount itself (the L shaped one that connects to the Chin mount).

  • @JermaineNgo

    Does the XD-5 come with different visor options? I'm looking for something that's good for both day and night riding.

    • @MotoBeemer
      @MotoBeemer  2 місяці тому

      I mean, both day and night is tough. Many times I’ve seen guys keep a spare set of clear glasses with them, but the shield swaps are pretty simple with this helmet.

    Is the helmet’s field of view really that wide? I've had issues with limited visibility in my current helmet.
