And he went straight from that to cutting the best promo the program could have ever hoped for without even trying. I mean as a coach could you even sit a kid down and ask him to sell a program to future athletes any better than that? Icon, he’s a natural in every facet.
We need more NCAA wrestling programs. Maybe MMA potential of NCAA wrestlers will help bring back some of those old programs that were canceled years ago.
Bo was out of his mind knowing what he had just done and Cael made a simple hand gesture (3:34) to calm down before he was interviewed. Sign of a great coach and what Bo said is legendary.
When Bo talked about this moment he made a point to mention that the Penn state guy who ran up to congratulate him was mark hall, who had just lost his match in the 174lb finals. But instead of crying to himself, he was super amped for his teammate.
@@afeaefwefew5616yes he is, he’s literally the single biggest & hottest prospect in UFC HISTORY! That’s a fact, his transition to mma was the most anticipated in the history of the sport. He’s got amazing potential and will likely be champ someday.

I know other people have said it in the comments, but I 100% believe Bo will be UFC champion one day. He is 5-0 in MMA right now, with only 2 of those fights being in the UFC, each being finishes in the 1st round. I believe Bo and Khamzat Chimaev will eventually run into each other at the top, maybe even for the 185 pound UFC title, and Bo will beat him.
Insane awareness and confidence to realize Martin was high and to purposefully turn to your back to get the reversal in the championship. I would never think to do that especially in a championship match to risk going to my back but thats what makes Bo, Bo.
Ya with a minor adjustment that could easily be a mounted guillotine. The wrestling move he used here is called “the gator bacon” Which can be done as a counter to a takedown attempt (like here) or done simply from the front headlock position. It’s a front headlock with an underhook, you spin to the underhook side and stick the pin. What he did here was impressive, he countered his takedown attempt and immediately got the reversal directly into a pin. Crazy.
So I’m watching the scoreboard as this sequence happens, can anyone explain why Myles gets 2 points, then Bo gets 2 points, then Bo ends up winning? New to wrestling, please explain?
Yeah im confused too is this like some submission wrestling type match? Only reason i could see bo winning was the guillotine but from what i know usually wrestling doesn't envolve submissions
Myles got the takedown +2 points, Bo got the reversal (he went from bottom position to top position) +2 points. Bo pins him on his shoulders = win. In wrestling you get rewarded for having control from the top position.
