I say this about so many of your family cooking videos, and I always mean it. They are charming. Alana is adorable, and gets more adorable in every video. I love that Mr. H helps, and Mrs H is delightful. Mrs. H, your Mom and Dad are cute (your Dad has quite a sense of humor, doesn’t he?). I was totally charmed by this video, and will probably watch it several more times. Of all your charming videos, this one struck me as the charmingest (not I real word, I know!j 🥰 Thank you!
I have a cost saving suggestion about brown sugar. It's nothing more than white sugar with a little added molasses. Blackstrap molasses has great health benefits and a little drizzled into white sugar can make it as light or dark as needed, with no box of more expensive brown sugar turning into a brick in the cabinet. An opened jar of molasses can have a few years' shelf life, can be used in lots of dishes and makes a good warm or cold milk drink. Not as good as chocolate, but a really good substitute.
Dear Elana, PLEASE stop growing up so fast!!!!!! Amazing job on the cheesecake, Mrs. H! Looks delicious!!! Love seeing all the family together. ❤❤ BLY you guys!
Holy hell! Mum looks like she could be your sister Mrs. H! And I'm not just saying that to be nice or to try and hit on your mom, but seriously! 😂 You got some great genes!
I love you all so much. Im a retired teacher so I have been around a lot of children. I just wanted to suggest that when your lovely daughter is helping the kitchen she put her hair back around the mixer. I would hate to see her get her hair caught in the beater. Please also watch her hands close to the beater. I have just seen too many accidents when children grab things. You are excellent parents!
Oh my!!! That looks divine! Great job. BTW…I just love the patient, loving way you both speak to Elana. It’s such a great example of wonderful parenting. She is a very lucky (and ADORABLE) little girl!!
Oh lord Ive missed 5 videos! Well Im catching up right now! This is going to be fun. No matter how many times I hear it, 'digestive biscuits' just doesn't sound appetizing. Sounds like Pepto Bismol . haha Mrs H and her mom sound exactly alike.
OMG SHE'S SO CUTE I CAN'T STAND IT!!!😊. Quick tip, put the cheesecake in the pan, place the pan in the oven, pour water into the pan using a kettle, much easier and you don't have to worry about getting water in the CK.
I love the fact that you are not only making Great food, but also teaching Alana. Hopefully her memories of this will help her when she is a bit older to want to Learn to cook on her own, so she doesn't fall into the pitfall of Young Adults today who can't/refuse to cook for themselves.
Dear Mister H. and family, If you ever find yourselves in my neck of the woods over here on the Southern Oregon coast, I'd love to have a cool drink with you sometime. You all seem like the kind of folks I could talk to for hours about a multitude of things.
Do you share any of the American dishes you make with family, friends,, or neighbors?? and if so, what is their reaction? You should film what they think about your American creations....LOL... I posted comment before the end.... way to go!!! love it..
Yummy! Mrs. H, you really put many of us Americans to shame with your effort to execute these recipes. You all did a wonderful job , especially with Alans's help. 🍠♥ Alana, who is just adorable, is right. This is really more of a pie than a cake.

Y'all (yes, I'm from Texas) do a fantastic job with all these recipes. I really enjoy watching. But let's all be honest here. You could throw dirt in a bowl and stir it up, and we would all still watch just to see Baby H. !
That looked so delicious. Thanks for the recipe I will definitely try it. You all did a great job and of course Little H made my day with that smile. She just lights up everything around her. Just like her Mommy.
Nope, it’s not. I grew up watching my parents having coffee with all sweet things. I guess I just carry that on. Oh, and speaking of coffee, when I was young(grade school), my mutter wound fix me a cup with cream and sugar. She said it was ordered by the doctor. I do t remember her ever explaining why I was supposed to drink it. But I’m 73, and a good cup of coffee is still one of my favorite things in life. It takes so little to make me happy. Thanks for your reply and stay safe and well. And have a great week.
Now I understand why they say you should never act with children or animals. When h is on the screen, she totally steals the attention! What a little doll! So smart! Your family is just an inspiration, and your parents seem lovely too! And your baking is like ASMR for the eyes! And tummy!
Just got to watch it. I was interrupted before the premiere. It looked beautiful to me and the taste must have been out of this world! I loved your parents' cameo Ms. H. They were cute & I hope they'll return. BLY!!!!! Mr. H, I'd ask for that for my yearly birthday cake🎉🎉🎉! Happy Birthday!!!
A tou de force from you all! LOL, Elana already has egg cracking down. Lovely to meet your parents, Mrs. H! Hello from Oregon! The cheesecake looks like pure bliss. And I love the glimpse of the elegant Ms. Foosa. Mr. H, Happy belated Birthday!
Looks really tasty. Great job.2 /10s a Nice, from Little, Miss H✋ and mom and dad said it was great too. it must be a great recipe loved watching you make it.❤️✌️🌼
Cheesecake is heaven on Earth. Try making a New York cheesecake or a Snickers cheesecake or a pistachio cheesecake. You both did a great job. I want a slice! ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻✌🏻
FYI I have a tip for you. Next time you cook something in a water bath, put item in pan, set pan on oven tray NOT pushed in, then add water and you don't have to worry about it spilling or splashing. Push pan in oven and cook. Enjoy.
Love your family Mr H, I so enjoy watching your channel. Mrs. H has my respect, because she makes everything from scratch. Her palate is getting " Americanized"! God bless y'all, and Howdy from Houston Texas!
If you get a set of fancy tips for the piping bag, I think you'll be happier with the way your icings look. You did a great job with this cheesecake, and I'll be making this soon. Fun to meet your parents!😋🤠
Thought I'd pass on some tips I've learned. When you bake a cheesecake, you know it's done when the very center STILL jiggles (2" - 3" diameter). After you turn off the oven it will continue to bake so you don't want to over cook it! It's okay to beat the cream cheese on a higher speed BUT when you begin to add in the eggs, DON'T do that! AIR IS THE ENEMY in a cheesecake and it can cause the top to crack, which is so frustrating. Lastly, remember to set ALL the ingredients out of the refrigerator before you start so they're at room temperature. Nothing beats a homemade cheesecake and I hope you'll make more in the future! Enjoy.
Carne asdada burrito... Southern California favorite. Carne asada: skirt steak sliced thin and marinated in lime and coriander. Cook quick. Add lime again after cooking, guacamole and salsa... 1/3 Meat at least, guac 1/3 and salsa 1/3 + lime in a tortilla. Enjoy!
You guys are getting better and better and, without a doubt, you decidedly up your level with this one..pretty soon this is going to be a bonified cooking show. Hope you're ready, because folks might start holding you to that sort of heightened standard...Can you say "Martha Stewart." Lol. Excellent guys!
When i was a kid, i used to work at a seafood tavern where we made our own breads in 5 gallon vats, like 45 eggs 11 lbs flour ect. WE/I used to make a chocolate swirl cheesecake with an almond and oat crust. They were delish i made 3 to 5 at a time.
I finally had a chance to watch this... it looks delicious.... i am glad to see everyone enjoyed it!! I loved that in the beginning of the video Elana tried to sat cinnamon... she is so darn cute!!! Have a great day H family!! 😊❤😊❤
the point of a water bath is to heat things more gently. in this case, its so that the outside doesnt cook too much faster than the center. it also keeps the air in the oven more humid which helps the top to not crack and the texture will be creamier in general.
I love to see your patience and encouragement with Alana. I look back to when my daughter was her age and really regret my poor parenting skills. Luckily, she turned out to be a wonderful person despite my poor parenting skills.
Little hint on cutting a cheese cake. Run your knife under hot water for every cut. It will cut beautifully and you will be able to pull the pieces out and they will look amazing. Mrs H, I always make more of the cinnamon filling when I make this. I agree from every recipe I've seen, it needs more LOL
To get clean slices of cake take a pitcher of hot water. Take your knife submerge the blade in the hot water. Then wipe the water off of the blade. Make your cut then repeat the process for each slice you make.
As someone who lives maybe 10 minutes driving from Philadelphia, I adore cheesecake. For those who know nothing about cheesecake and its story or even what its made of, I totally suggest it. Philly history is fascinating and cheesecake history is cool too. i also loooooooooove that you guys did the water bath, it is a game changer and essential.
With your love of cinnamon rolls in mind, I'm not sure if you have this in the UK, but when you visit the US you can buy cinnamon rolls dough in tubes found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. All you have to do is take them out, put the on a baking sheet and bake them. The tube normally includes the icing which be applied before serving. As a child, my parents would serve these to us with Sunday breakfast, and I still enjoy them occasionally. They can be found in the refrigerated section near the biscuits and ready made cookie dough. Might be an option while visiting in the US if you have access to an oven and they should be quick to prepare.
Loved seeing your Mum & Dad at the end. Hope they sample some more of your cooking & BBQing again soon. Your Mum is beautiful - I see where Mrs. H gets her good looks!
I got three things to say, first Elana is still adorable. Second, your results look far better than mine would have. Finally, no artist ever paints the Mona Lisa on his first try. Love to you all. Peace.
No worries, Mrs. H. If I tried using a piping bag, the result would resemble either a mushroom cloud, or the profile of Mr. Bean. This cheesecake looks like a winner! Glad you included Mom and Dad.
Awesome seeing your folks, Mrs H! And now I want cheesecake! What you made looks INCREDIBLE! :D A little tip: honestly, when you add the melted butter to the crust, it's just easier to blend them in a mixing bowl with a rubber spatula. Much easier to get out, as well. :) For your next regional American dessert, maybe try gooey butter cake, which comes from Missouri (St.Louis to be exact). I think Mr H would go crazy for that one.
I say this about so many of your family cooking videos, and I always mean it. They are charming.

Glad to see mom and dad in your video, I hope they are in many more in the future.
HELLO H - IN - LAWS!
Mrs. H, I see you married a funny, sweet man just like your Dad!
My mouth is watering!

Don't give Mum and Dad too much. You'll never get rid of em. lol
Your parents seem really nice, i wouldnt mind seeing them in more videos
Carrot Cake 😂
Your Dad is awesome!!!!

I love how Elana is so eager to help out. So adorable. 😊
Hello, Mrs. H's parents! Nice to meet you.
Let's be honest, Mum &,Dad were there to see Alana, the cheesecake was just a bonus!😊
I see where Mrs.H gets her beauty from and lovely parents you have Mrs.H ❤😊!
I love you all so much. Im a retired teacher so I have been around a lot of children. I just wanted to suggest that when your lovely daughter is helping the kitchen she put her hair back around the mixer. I would hate to see her get her hair caught in the beater. They both look young. Good looking parents Mrs H! Dang.
Oh my!!! That looks divine! Great job.
BTW…I just love the patient, loving way you both speak to Elana. It’s such a great example of wonderful parenting. She is a very lucky (and ADORABLE) little girl!!
I cant wait for the MOMENT that Elana actually REALIZES what the camera is, and starts hamming it up to HER AUDIENCE.
Have to change the name of the channel!!! 😊
Alana knows she's the star.
I think Ms. H should cook alot of the American desserts she successfully made & sell them at a Local Flea/ Farmers Market!!!
I love Alana saying "num num num!" during Mom and Dad's first bites!
OMG SHE'S SO CUTE I CAN'T STAND IT!!!😊. Quick tip, put the cheesecake in the pan, place the pan in the oven, pour water into the pan using a kettle, much easier and you don't have to worry about getting water in the CK.

So wholesome .. including Elana in everything and how they support her.
This sounds really good!!!

Baked cheesecake takes a lot of time and patience. Good Job!
the point of a water bath is to heat things more gently. in this case, its so that the outside doesnt cook too much faster than the center. it also keeps the air in the oven more humid which helps the top to not crack and the texture will be creamier in general.
I love to see your patience and encouragement with Alana. I look back to when my daughter was her age and really regret my poor parenting skills. Luckily, she turned out to be a wonderful person despite my poor parenting skills.
The nice thing about being the cook is that you are required to try the food first to make sure its just right! 😉
