Have you ever used a machine like this? While it can pump out some interesting data - it has some major draw backs in the assessment of someone’s rehabilitation as it doesn’t tell you how that person moves as a linkage (aka the “kinetic chain”). . Shout out @charleykalefitness for the opening stitched video!
I thought so too but I bet it was her thigh or more likely her hands squeaking over the rubbery seat while pushing. she was waay too unfazed for it to have been a fart 😂
@@kcailly1 statistically leg extensions are infamous for causing knee injury, so going max effort leg extension like this is risky, honestly your comment is like 90% of youtube comments, people talking about themselves which is irrelevant to the actual comment
Fair points, but don't hate on the machine too much. It's a safe, highly standardized test. Great for research or patients at risk in providing a relatively quick, easy, and objective assesment.
Currently moping on the couch with a partial hip flexor tear and a potential (but looking increasingly likely) labrum tear in the same hip. Looking at this makes me hurt physically and mentally lol. This 22 year old is sick and tired of joint injuries...... I was genuinely stuck on the floor yesterday because my left hip was immobilized and my right knee can't bear my whole weight to get up. At 22. Anyway I'm gonna go keep moping 😂
I understand the swelling part. Per fluid build up, lymph, and inflammation. Understand the pain part, as well. I had to use an isokinetic machine in PT and was the worst pain of all. I did, as it isolated the injury but didn't do anything for the agonist muscles by any means. As you said. I'm glad you mention the hop stuff, but would that be dangerous in certain cases or symptoms such as Osgood-Schlatter? Would love to pick your PT brain as a LMT.
Omg I did physical therapy for my meniscus and they let me go because my legs were very strong. I still feel my knees are weak when I jump vertically or horizontally😢😢😢
Indeed. We just did these tests during an internship at a physiotherapy sports clinic. He also had a handheld device to measure force for some of these assessments.
I manage a gym, we have a system called EGYM which uses magnets to create resistance. They have strength tests and screens that will show at what tempo to go. They have functions to increase weight on negatives, active drop set, and a bunch of other stuff!
I was told very heavy leg extensions can damage a ligament or tendon, and with them pressing as hard as they can I would think that would also cause damage or a tear that is not conducive for healing a rehab. Is that true?
Im confused why do the guys look like the machine is moving their leg (and trying to rip it off) but the girl looks like she's pushing against the machine?
The girls shown in the video have strong and muscular but still feminine legs. It would be great to get a bit more insight into how to achieve that as opposed to bulkier appearances
Could u give the name of the brunette wearing black shorts/blue long sleeve top who hits the side of her legs w/ her fist? Does she have her own fitness-page?
Can you do one for the measurment of achilles tendon strength after rupture! Ive had issues with mije coz i developed tendonitis and have no idea how recovery is going
Are leg extension machines ok for regular strength training? My orthopedic doctor tells me to avoid open chain exercises. I am recovering from bilateral quadricep tendon rupture and repair.
I have a question. So I have flat foot on both of my feet, curved shoes are more comfortable for me but flat shoes are very uncomfortable. Is this ok? And is there a reason?

Farting increases quad engagement
@@BGeezy4sheezyyou gotta be kidding

Either fart or just leg shifting against the seat
That guy is class he just casually asked her how you doing today after da bomb 😂

Fire.
True. Her legs are everything 🙌
Her legs are perfect.
Before or after the injury?
It's @emilyyhariggan
Is it just me or she farted. No shame, just checking.
Atlético Mineiro 🚀
Great insight to the workings of the human body 👏👏👏👏
Anyone else hear that fart 😭
Well the guy did say "push" so you can't exactly blame her. 😂
im so jealous of their strong muscular legs
Man I wish I could hire this guy 😩
Can you do a similar video on arm/back strength tests after injury?

Great and thank you for all the information you give us, educate us🙏🙏🙏

The Fart was the point of max out 😂😂
The soccer player shown on the video plays in the coolest Brazilian club.
The fact that your legs function in weight bearing positions is enough to know an isokinetic machine is pointless
My knee would explode if I did that hop test.

Homie with the blonde hair is an incredible up and coming ufc fighter. His name is escaping me. Pretty sure he fights out of Chute box with oliveira

Why not?
Thanks for the name peace
What's the name of that massive leg girl?
She shook with the ring sting.

I used that machine in college and it said i had really strong legs. I knew it was bs because i couldn't lift that much
I had a little baby arm after breaking my collar bone. I legit looked like that guy from Scary Movie
Do they have stuff like this for shoulders?
She just queefed 😂😂😂
Who is she?
That's a leg that can literally kick the shit out of you!!😂
is that the same woman after injury ?
Was she really farting?
I used one of these in my college courses. It’s Strange sensation.

I had to take one of these tests during my hiring process. Same for rotators.
Wtf I wish I had an acl test before I joined the Army. I'm having alot of secondary issues with the same leg now.
All the technology in the world cant beat humankind and common sense
NBA Legend BERNARD KING had used this machine for his rehabilitation after a serious knee injury.
that machine looks like a great way to cause a new injury, not assess a healing one.
It’s also a very strange device to push against lol
Let’s not act like we didn’t hear that fart. 😂
I’ve always been able to jump incredibly high yet my knees are weak as hell. Got to a point where my vert went from 48” to 40”…
I’m pretty atheletic but I can’t jump high at all. Is this a bad sign? 😂

I need something for low back pain! It's been on my low left side for a while, i feel it most when i twist especially when i twist to my right
But how do you correct someone favoring the outside of their hip and not being straight like the girl doing the elevated drop one leg squat?
For core stability use the big 3... Sorry, wrong video.
