It makes a great difference getting it mapped. More power everywhere especially down low where you spend most of your time realistically and smoother throttle control.
Yours seems like it’s all top end power because it’s missing the bottom end gains you get.
Look at the dyno graphs at the area under the lines.

I feel you man. It's definitely hard to justify spending that kind of money for a few extra ponies

You are right about the power, but I just find it rides a lot better with the aftermarket exhaust

Personally I remapped mine, because it's Euro5 restricted, and it gives it a better air/fuel ratio, runs smoother, not so much for power
Of course in the US it's Euro4 and I've heard it's performance is very different from Euro5, so I believe you

don’t need more but def better if somehow they make the exhaust less hot

Try Canadian gas prices. Also, I noticed aftermarket exhaust really helped at low revs in first gear.

Heard it not only opens up the bike for more power but it also runs better cuz euro 5 restrictions.

Well, the best Trail of the Dragon rider (Antprilia) is 5% slower on his 701 SM than his Aprilia RSV4, lol...

    I don’t care about increasing power….
I want to get rid of all that unnecessary garbage on my bike….
And weight isn’t even the issue fir me either. Doing Rade airbox, SAS delete, fuel dongle to start

Very true, there is a lot of garage to get rid of

the emissions restrictions are damaging the engine and reducing its lifespan. just undo those; you can tac weld a amazon universal open muffler onto your header and cut your own sas block off plate, you don't have to spend a ton of money. Its just to prevent the government from killing your engine before it's time. btw a fuel remap fixes the choppiness in first gear it's not just for performance gains. I get it though if you're not an engineer the concept of a "happy engine" might be foreign to you

@@Szlejer haha xD look at when my profile was created. i havent changed my pic in 15 years bud. im nostalgic what can i say. i do have 11 verified IT certifications on my linked in and i run a motorcycle shop where i fix and sell bikes. as well as fixing cellphones and laptops. I was 13 when youtube first dropped before it was sold to google if that puts my age into context.
Because you dont seem to know yet:
often times accounts with old pics like mine are bots and stole pics from an old defunct social media page. 40% of the comments on the internet are bots since 2020 and its only growing as bot networks run through chatGPT are used by ad companies as part of their campaigns. More than ever the internet isnt real my dude.

@@br5145-v3m got it back and running. fitted a different engine. but the reason was a seized rocker arm bearing which is a common issue and ktm shouldve made a recall instead of just updating their rocker arms in later years...
