My First Time Riding a Sportbike
Переглядів 2,3 тис.8 місяців тому
Ok its true I spent most of the video hating on sportbikes. BUT after further unrecorded testing I came to enjoy them. Also yes I did call it slow and I stand behind that. But maybe that's because I come from an FZ09 that hits its peak power at 7k rpm. Im not used to all this "rev the bike out" nonsense. But after rewatching the video while editing it I am right there with you saying "hit redli...

Your Husqvarna 701/ KTM 690 Makes Enough Power Stock.
Переглядів 1,1 тис.Рік тому
Hot Take: your 2021 SMCR 690/Husky 701 makes enough power and doesn't need to be modded out. Yeah ok sure there will be a power gain, but do you really need it? Maybe you do! Then absolutely go for it! But, how I see it, $1000 ish is too much for the little extra power. There are other options that I have yet to explore, so please share those! Torque spec?
This vs Honda CRF300? Which one is best?
hey mate, at what speed is it happy on the highway? thanks.
55mph
There's nothing wrong with the bike. It has an intended purpose that doesn't suit your needs, so don't complain about it. Just get a bigger one.
This is the right attitude. The KLX230 is a really fun bike for what it is. I have enjoyed mine.
Where you from I’m in Louisiana with my 701 lots of twists here on the great river road!
Supermoto for me, as it's optimized for weight.. Around here, lots of 35MPH twistys that are awesome fun at 50+. Even a 250cc SM conversion gets the blood moving. Got to have the 120/160 17" street tires, and a significant drop to the typical dual sport height. Those beautiful power line right of ways across Maryland are "Private Property, No Tresspass US codexxx", I have risked it, but clearly unwelcome. A lame attempt to secure the power lines. Ideal weight for Supermoto is Low 300Lbs, which often means an aluminum frame and a single. The CFMoto 450NK is pretty close and puts out 50HP which bridges the gap between Naked and SM effectively. Take a look at that bike for a solution, but watch out for Shipping and dealer prep add on charges which can be excessive. The MT09 is 420lbs, the MT07 is 402. For what I like power isn't that important, a 250 can be ample, but more is always appreciated. I have an XSR9 that's awesome, but not so great on this turf.
Can I have the information on the motorcycle rack?
from amazon "rear luggage rack for 701" this one is from Rearace for $85
for people who want to become organ donors, that is...
What bike is that. Sounds great and the shifts sooo nice
Yamaha mt-9
That was a bit annoying to watch. 😂 no way near the fun rpm. And you say it's slow 😂 my 900 pulls from down low. And gets really angry about 8k and up. Those mirrors are horrible 😂😂
damn thats such a beutiful machine can you tell me more about it
I miss my 701sm, defs gonna get another one
why is it gone?
The price almost the same as ducati
The leaning left or drifting to the left comes from all the lil torque that’s coming from the motor/chain. At least that’s what I have heard and it makes sense
Does the bike lean right when you wheelie it?
This was a super interesting comparison. However, I think a rider with who are more used to high-powered bikes on the Husky fitted with more offroad capable tires would have no trouble doing this loop in 2:06 (or maybe even less).
Nice video
Where you buy them?
Stock gearing? Any upgrades?
You are so chill after putting your 14k bike down. I would be pretty upset.
What track cost $1000??? Track day at the ridge Motorsports park is $250 I sat on a GASGAS and the husqvarna today. I like the seat on the husky but I like the wheels on the gasgas better. Plus the gasgas is about $1500 cheaper right now.
I have pc6 intake and tune and i cant power wheelie 3rd for some reason. Can barley clutch up third. If i bouce it i can get it but not easily. Kinda disappointing
I heard someone say the intake and tune increases HP and decreases some of the downlow torque unfortunately. Not sure how true it is.
Hey man, learning to do wheelies with husky 701.. new to wheelies.. question if you can help answer..how do I know whether I reached balance point when doing wheelies ? Do you feel like weightless or tip over to the back ? Thanks much.
you feel weightless and then you tip backwards and crash. at least that's how I learned. But your front forks will seem to be parallel with the road
@@moto_morgan how will you know , that you reached the balance point ? What I read is that, when you reach balance point, your wheelies will feel effortless / weightless.. is that true ? Or let me ask the question in different way..how to stay at balance point (weightlessness) with out tipping over ?
Any tips for popping third nooners on the 701? Second gear clutchies is a cake walk, but third wont lift anywhere near. Sitting far back and cranking the bars some. Just a rider timing issue? Nice video, cheers!
a lot of pop at 55mph and you got to throw your body lol, I am not consistent with it unfortunately
Thanks for the tip!
I’m trying to get a 2022 klx 230 shi looks fun asf, hopefully I can buy one
Nice video.
You're not appreciating the "exploring" aspect of this bike. I bet on your other bikes you're struggling to touch the ground and the want to stop and do the chore of getting off.
I love my KLX230. 60mph is just fine. I put an aftermarket Seat Concepts seat on it and can ride for hours with no problem. Also added a manual idle adjuster. It's not super fast and not gonna win any races, but it's fun to ride and will do what most people need it to.
Mt09 suspension is trash can’t corner at all unless fixed
We need u back breh
I mean, this bike goes on 17" slicks better than the "ADV" behemoths in full knob tyres... and may i guess you were on the saddle the whole time. TY for posting this ;)
I’m pretty sure ur traction control was on. If it’s lit up it’s disengaged
I made the same mistake and ordered the homologated one. Turns out it included the catalytic converter! That's why it weighs that much.
Still working fine and worth getting?
i think so, they look better than stock
Did you need to replace the relay?
I havent but it does blink a fast now. still works lol
euro 5?
Your wanting that bike to do things its not designed for but guess what its doing fine ive had 57 bikes good thing you dont have a powerful bike you will kill yourself
dual
yeah
Cold? In NC? In the middle of June? Dude…..
Bla bla. What did u offer that was unique….nothing.
don’t need more but def better if somehow they make the exhaust less hot
got a 24 701 for my first street bike. Couldn't be more happy. GSXR 750 next ;)
sounds dope!

Hey morgan, I have the same bike 2023 230s. Is it possible for you to pop a wheelie at all? This bike is one of my firsts, im 16 and I want to learn how to wheelie. What do you recommend?
redline, drop the clutch and pull
@@moto_morgan Ty sm
Puts some decent dirt tires, FMF copy pipe, 28mm bars and risers and its a great little Enduro bike. Rave reveiws form everyone that rides one, but to be fair I am referring to the R model, higher ground clearance, more suspension travel etc .. very good great handling tight trail bike. I have CRF250s, KLX250's all heavily modded with YSS suspension, pipes, big bores etc and the 230R is more fun and easier t ride than any of them .. even more fun than my KTM in the Jungles here!
Do you know about some adverse effect on the engine after installing the fuel dongle? Is it safe?
no problems so far, have not heard anything negative about it.
If you're 14
You only need to wait another 2 years then bro
You are not trying hard enough! Have fun and enjoy✌
You sure to complain a lot
What rear light is that?
