Amazing presentation! I'm a drummer, but I loved the sound of keyboards and what they mean to any band. The Nord 5 is a beast! Keep the presentations coming brother.
I think as Nord is including more ways to combine y modify sounds on their Piano and Electro lines, it’s time they should include a mod wheel and pitch stick for vibrato and effects
No, no, you have to pay the premium and get the flagship Nord Stage to get pitch-bend and modwheel, that’s a pro feature. Competition does the same thing too, right? /s I mean, seriously, don’t bother having synth sounds if you don’t have a pitch stick. If it was a dedicated piano, fine, but it is a piano with sounds that yu cannot play properly because idiocy.
Yes…some troll was trying to argue against this idea but yes needs a pitch and mod wheel. It’s the tip of the iceberg on this being overhypes nonsense. Get a vst it sounds better .
get a nord stage or nord lead for synths - the nord piano is mainly for piano focused players - great piano sounds and keybed - with other sounds there, but without the bells and whistles
pretty sure they've had layering for ages. at least the stage keyboards did. this one specifically is the piano 5, so it would make sense for previous models not to have layering (even though i believe they did). i know for a fact the stage keyboards have had layering for a while now

One thing I see right off the bat is that the strings sustain with the sustain pedal, which they don't on the Yamaha DGX. Is there an option for an expression pedal with the string voices? I've always liked the sound of Nords.
Hi, thanks for your interest! Yes, you can assign an expression pedal to control the volume of the Sample Synth section (including strings). Seems EVERY MUSIC SUPPLY STORE on The UA-cam Channel is eager to advertise their great products but they ALL FAIL is INCLUDE to Describe and Advertise the Best Amplification (Amplifier) that "goes best" with their Electric Keyboards! Hi, thanks for your interest! I think I understand your question, but just to make sure, one example would be splitting the keyboard so that the lower half is just piano, while the higher half is the same piano sound layered with strings. If I’ve understood correctly, the answer is yes! You can set a split point anywhere on the keyboard and freely assign Piano or Sample Synth layers to either side of the split.
