My Asus Rog Ally review goes over the exterior physical hardware, the armoury crate app and how you can play both Xbox and Playstation games on the same console. Being able to play these games from anywhere from essentially what is a Windows 11 machine is absolutely incredible. Of course there are some drawbacks.....you'll have to watch the full video to see what those are :)

I'm also wanting to sell my laptop with rtx 3070, but only thing stopping me is the RAM on Rog ally. If they had a unified pool of over 16 GB, I'd do it in an instant. I'll hold off buying one this gen and will join the bandwagon on the next one.
@@jal.ajeerau can buy a Asus ROG ally and a xg mobile gpu according to your budget and when u will be on the go play with the ally but when u want to do full fledged PC gaming play with the ally along with the xg mobile here I saved u some bucks

Found one from Best Buy *open box* for $490.00. Literally box was open for the Z1 extreme. Cool system so far. 3 months of game pass ultimate was a fun surprise waiting for me.
Same here. This thing is so good. I have the deck also. With VRR and higher frames at 720p. This is crazy good.
Bump up to 900p. Barely less frames but it looks much better

yup I use my windows handhelds more than my deck and of course switch. having access to all your games is a game changer. I don’t need to play triple A games for hours.

You can play games offline. Just need to set all launchers to their respective offline settings. Great video. Picked up an Ally during Black Friday. Great price at 500

This is a game changer, you don't gave to buy the same games again... and also you can crack then lmao. I bought one.
I'm really trying to decide between this or the Steamdeck OLED! THEY BOTH seem appealing but my only gripe with Asus ROG was when i tested it in store the software seemed a little difficult to use. It was like a desktop UI and felt a bit buggy when i tried it. But I'm unsure
I have both. If you want a console experience with better battery life go with the deck, if you dont mind windows in a handheld form and play a lot of games not on steam go with the ally. Spec wise the ally is better but in order to use that extra power expect to only get a little over an hour of battery life.

Since the recent update today of the Ally, it's been easier to use with a plethora of features in the armory crate. But instead of an microSD card, you might as well get a two terabyte m.2.

Battery banks are your friend
I'm 53. Locked in my office playing on my PS5 and watching videos. Not all day mind you, wife and kids and all but... The battery on that thing is ridiculously terrible. You will be tethered to the wall. I returned the Ally Z1 Extreme. Solid video though 👍
No offense but the fact you play majority on consoles and are not tech savy shouldve been the first indicator to not get the Ally.
It is a great device for those who know how to use it. You can get more battery out of it with a few simple tricks and can even replace the battery with a full scale laptop battery to rival SD battery life while also offering VRR, 1080P, A real desktop experience, and a gamepass capable device.
@@lucianowod I have the AYN Odin Pro, the Odin 2 Max on the way and the Steam Deck OLED.... The Legion Go and Ally have terrible battery life.
@@frankpatterson9682 Again I have both as well. Just out of the box they do have worse battery life but its because the hardware is so much more advanced. ROG Ally has the 4nm chip. With some corrections you can get the ally at 15w to last about 2.5 to 3hours which is fine for me. My friend put a 90wHr battery in his which lasts around 4 or 5 hours
