I am 56 years old. Just retired, just got the bike today. Assembly was a cinch. No problem with that or the bike. I love it already. ❤
Thanks for being one of our newest riders, Richard!
What a sweet bike xp 3.0 is i received it yesterday and rode 20 miles today. Awesome sauce!!!! Love it
I am 77, almost 78 and I did myself!!!! Yea‼️😟
The two XP 3.0 long range step thru ebikes that we received were easy to unpack and assemble. The batteries were fairly easy to remove and charge, but I definitely prefer charging it without removing. The key is rather difficult to insert as it is not in a place that is easy to see. Once I did this several times, I was able to insert the key by feel. All bolts were checked and most needed some tightening. The only issue that I had was the brake light cable. It is a bit too long and eventually rubbed against the spokes of the rear wheel. It did cause the wire to be damaged and I had to have a new cable sent without any cost to me. However, the new one that was sent was not long enough and I had to reorder the correct length, also without any cost to me. I was able to splice together the old wire to get it to work until the correct cable arrives. The brakes tend to drag a bit, but after reading some reviews, I discovered that it takes about 50 miles before the brake pads seat properly. We are up to about 30 miles on our new ebikes and love the way they feel and operate! I enjoy reading and seeing all the reviews and video that are available for this ebike!
Just got mine today. Love it so far, but question. Can you charge the battery while it's on the bike or does the battery need to be removed to charge?
Great video glad I found this. It’s been very helpful for me and I appreciate you putting this video on here.
I did this all alone completely and I am a 70 year old woman. Oh, and I had no tools.
Right on, Helen! We love to hear it and thank you for your support. 💪
You Go, Girl! ❤❤❤
👏👏👏
Good for you!!!
Thank you for the comment!
This tutorial was WAY better than the first one I watched. It gave much better instructions on how to set up the bike. Please delete the other videos and use this one!
Well done Tony!
GREAT INFORMATION EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO TUNE UP BIKE PROPERLY.
Excellently done!
I am looking forward to them making more cleaner bikes in the future in relation to wires. my lectric xp 3.0 has wires all over the place in the front and along the frame. it just looks messy. I am also hoping they do something that allows you to lock the bike in place when you fold it. the videos are like oh, its so easy and a joy to fold your bike and put it in the car....but in reality, its awkward heavy and unwieldly leading to it falling on the concrete and the chain comes off and things get bent. sorry, but I dont see women being able to lift this without it being an back breaking ordeal.
We really do appreciate this feedback, which makes our current and future offerings better and easier to use for our riders!
I just got one for Christmas!!!
Such a great way to spend the holiday season!
Thank you for this video! My mom was crying because she didn’t know how to turn it on!😂😢😂
Of course, we want everyone to feel confident in using their new eBike!
Nice
oh yeah that’s it right there i can’t afford a car so this right here is what i’m saving for
That is a great plan! We love replacing cars with our eBikes
Gat a bungee cord to hold it together, it also comes with VELCRO STRIP FASTENER.
D
I just bought one. It is a little more expensive than Wally World but I'm getting at least 3x the bike. The 45 mile range, better folding with less weight, and comfort and safety upgrades are important.
How you like it so far?
Thank you for your support and business this year! You're going to love this awesome new ride 😎🚲
Speaker would make my ride to work so much fun!!!!!
Question: When using throttle only wether I start off pedaling or not when I just use throttle does it need to be in cruise?
I just got mine March 2024. Are the tires already aired up to full psi? I really didn't have to do much.
Nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤
As it turns out, my lectric xp 3.0 has something weird to my throttle was slower with PAS 1. Then, I switched to PAS 2. The throttle got increased, and your Lectric Company must've added a couple of features into my Lectric XP 3.0.
I didn't know the throttle would increase by putting PAS 1 to 5! 😮
And the pedals, it feels heavy while I pushed my strength to keep pedaling without PAS or Throttle.
Was it me who gets tired from riding too much around the neighborhood, or is my Lectric XP 3.0 doing it itself?
Just purchased the 3.0. Cannot get the key to turn? Will not turn when in the normal position or when pushing it in? Thoughts?
Make a video how to put the new latch set on the frame. The middle that holds the bike in half.
where do you get that pump? I charged the battery that came in the box and plugged it into the bike but there is no light?
Wish the bike would have included a damn manual or I watched this video first, didnt realize there was a plastic cap covering the battery progs and i completely destroyed them trying to unfold the bike...thanks alot lectric for not putting some kinda warning, red tape, or bright tag over the cap. The thing was practically invisible. Im praying they'll send me a replacement battery. smh
Hey there! As companies start making the change of going green and changing to e-manuals, so are we! This will save more trees and produce less paper. Here is the link to our electronic copy and we highly recommend saving the link for immediate access: help.lectricebikes.com/article/lzlpwtbyer-lectric-user-manuals. This also is a better alternative in the event that we make any changes its available right away, compared to a paper manual that can't be updated. We appreciate your understanding!
I agree. With zip ties and bright yellow tags everywhere else, I'm surprised there wasn't a yellow warning sticker on the battery cap thing!
Did they send you a replacement? What do you recommend?
I have charged my battery but can’t get the power display to turn on The key won’t turn to the on position.
The pump says "Lectric," but I assume it is just a label. Sure would like to get one like that. I just have a manual pump.
How do you know how tight the lug nuts are?
You guys include a torch wrench too? What if we don't have one?
Hi there! We do not include a torque wrench. If you do not have one, you can visit a bike shop in order to get the bike tuned-up!
Wow, a lot of complaints in the comments. Anyway, thank you for this video. 👍😁
You got it! 🙌
Do we have to leave the key ?
How do I get to class 3 unlocked mode?
Gotta take my bike to the bike shop and get it fixed. Just bought the bike. They had to put A Latch set on the frame.
Is this bike capable of throttle only?
Does the key have to remain on bike, while you are riding in motion?
Yes
Are your bikes UL Certified? I continue to hear about fires and would appreciate your input.
Hey Bob! That is a great question!
Lectric eBikes' batteries pass the ISO 4210 and UN 38.3 standards for safety. In addition to these certifications, the batteries are thoroughly tested by our in-house product development team, as well as a third-party testing facility.
Also, Lectric eBikes' chargers pass the ISO 4210 standards for safety.
If you have any other questions please let us know and we will be happy to help.
Thanks again and I hope you have a great day!
Do you have plans to become UL 2271 and UL 2849 Certified?
Hey Bob! This is something that our team is working towards and welcome you to stay tuned in for when we do. Thank you so much.
Hey, how this bike handles weather conditions when riding? like moderate - heavy rain, snow, etc.
Hey Alejandro. The XP 2.0, 3.0, XP Lite, XPremium, Trikes, and XPedition's electrical components have an IP rating of 65! This means it is dust-tight and can withstand jetting water. See the IP code for more details. Use caution when riding in wet conditions as it will take longer to use the brakes to slow down, and also when turning as the tires may slip. The electrical components on the bike are not waterproof.
The warranty for the Lectric XP does not cover water damage.
@LectriceBikes thanks. Good to know about the possibility of water damage.
My front axel nut doesn’t click with the torque wrench. It just keeps turning and turning. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Wes, it's hard to say without seeing more! If the nut continues to turn, it may still need to be tightened.
I unknowingly unfolded mine into the socket cover. The charger indicated green after a while, but the bike won't turn on.
What do I do now?
Hey there! We apologize for the issues you’re currently experiencing. We kindly suggest contacting our dedicated Customer Service team directly at contact@lectricebikes.com. They will be more than happy to assist you promptly. Thank you for your understanding!

I have, thanks. Just wondering: how much is a replacement pair of battery keys?
We sale blank keys for $20 plus shipping and taxes. ⚡️
Hello I had a question does the bike have a mode to ride it while not pedaling need help
Hi there, all of our eBikes have a throttle on the handlebar, which allows for riding without pedaling, reaching speeds up to 20 mph!
Where can I get that torque wrench?
They are sold at Home Depot and Amazon.
My screen comes on for a brief moment and then shuts off immediately. I can see that it doesnt show a charge on the display.
Testing the battery with a multimeter shows the top 2 terminals to have 48-52v, the 3rd terminal from top has 195v and the bottom fluctuates. Did i get a faulty battery?
I have the same issue, hopefully they will address it soon
Do you have to peddle the whole time while riding it ? Or am I able to cruise without pedaling
You don't have to pedal at any point, all of our eBikes come with a throttle so you can ride with ease!
How many hours does it take to charge the 3.0 for the first time?
Hello there! Depending on the capacity of your battery, it can take up to 7 hours for a full charge. When your battery is fully charged, the light on the charger will turn from red to green.
You'll then need to insert the key and turn it to the 'on' position, parallel with the frame, before turning your eBike on!
How do we unlock our bike for 28 MPH riding?
Thanks for reaching out! Instructions on how to change the speed from class 2 to class 3 settings are on page 21 of your user manual.
1. Access the settings menu by pressing and holding the up and down arrows on the control pad simultaneously until the screen says "P1".
2. From here you can cycle through settings by hitting the power button on the control pad and adjust the settings by pressing the up or down arrows on the control pad.
3. Please go to setting "P08" and change this setting from 32 to 100.
4. Press and hold the up and down arrows on the control pad until the main screen is shown once again.
5. Power the bike off by holding the m button to save the settings you have just changed.
Please keep in mind the throttle will be limited to a top speed of 20 MPH. To reach speeds of up to 28 MPH you must be in Pedal Assist Level 5.
Please let us know if you have any other questions!
hello, Is it possible to change the meter of miles to km
Yes there's a more than one video from other bike channels showing all the settings. You could call customer service to ask.
Just got my lectric 3.0 Long-range. My bike will not power on. Battery if fully charged. When unboxing my battery did not have one of those black or red covers. Everything else looks and feels great but all of that is for none if it will not power on. I TRY CALLING YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER BUT IT IS DISCONNECTED. WHAT IS THE DEAL
Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention! We love hearing from our customers by phone M-F from 9a-5p MST at (602)715-0907.
If your. XP 3.0 is not starting, please see this video for guidance: ua-cam.com/video/fWUn4VMgo4E/v-deo.htmlsi=Y-3afIcD-JJuuhDW
We hope to connect with you on this important matter soon!
Great bike overall, but nice job editing out the sound of the noisy brakes at the 10:18 mark so as to not throw off potential customers! My brand new XP 3.0 with the hydraulic brakes are noisy right out of the box, yet my wife's brand new HeyBike Ranger S with hydraulic brakes isn't. Can someone at Lectric explain WHY the Lectric brakes are still noisy even after so many reviewers calling them out about them? I already contacted customer service and they were no help on the matter.
Hello! We apologize for hearing about the problems you're having with your XP. It's possible that a brake adjustment will resolve this issue, and you can be confident that our team hasn't edited any brake noises from our video. To learn how to perform the necessary brake adjustments, please click here: ua-cam.com/video/_s5xnDFi3a8/v-deo.html. Thank you!
I just assembled the 3.0 today and am experiencing NO noise from the brakes. I can maybe in the future see me replacing the shift lever. There’s nothing wrong with it and at this price point it’s what I expected, I just like a smother clicker. But then again maybe I won’t ever change it. It seems like a great bike for what it is.
Thanks for the honest appraisal of your eBike! Enjoy the ride, Gre Gory!
Can’t even find a 17mm torque wrench on Amazon. Where do you get?
No such thing exists. A torque wrench is a torque wrench (basically). What you need is a 17mm deep well SOCKET, which attaches to the torque wrench. You can find such a socket at any hardware store...and probably even on Amazon.
@@spudman1125R thanks. I’m surprised this is required by Lectric. Not everyone has a torque wrench sitting around.
Is this the step thru or the regular version of the 3.0?
This would be for both the Step Thru and XP. 🙌
@@LectriceBikes and the one featured in this video? (Btw y'all rock and I'm about to snag a 3.0 but waitin for your big mystery announcement on Friday!)
This is our standard XP 3.0 eBike, thanks for the question! We appreciate you and look forward to shedding light on what's on the horizon this Friday!
How do I turn on my headed light?
if u havent found out yet, u have to hold the plus button
My screen will flash on for a moment , but then power off, Even at full charge
Will you guys provide your customers with these tools since they have already spent a lot on your product. I ordered this bike but I don’t have the tools to ensure that the screws are in correctly. I spent a lot of money on the bike so I thought it would enclose this tools so I can actually use it
Hey Emily. We do not offer the tools to work on your eBike and we highly recommend checking Park Tools as they do offer most of the tools we utilize. Thank you for understanding. 🙌
Lol
These bikes are already priced as low as they can go. No bike comes with tools and you need tools to be a bike owner. It’s part of the gig. Maintenance is a very regular thing. It’s not done once it’s out of the box. You have two choices with bicycles; Invest in the small amount for proper tools, or find a mechanic and pay them for every little thing. What are you going to do when you get a flat tire? Ask lectric to lend tools? Or when you need to index your gears? Or when your tires wear out and need to be replaced? You get the idea. A bicycle needs regular maintenance and if you don’t want to invest in any tools and want to pay a mechanic for literally every little thing than that is fine, but you will spend far more than what you would on tools and you will be without a bicycle for a while especially during the spring, summer, and even into fall as a good mechanic usually is very busy (especially right before the riding season starts.)
Must be a Democrat
My display is showing e009, yet none of your videos deal with this problem. Do i need to purchase a new controller or should I just scrap the bike and buy a better brand with parts that last longer than 2 years?
Hey Frank! We're sorry to learn about the Error Code you're experiencing. Please email our team at contact@lectricebikes.com and they'll be happy to assist. Thank you.
I did everything in this video , connect the display cable and tried every key position . The bike still does not turn on .
I own a xp lite , and idk why my 3.0 doesn’t work
Hi there, although we don't see everything that's going on, it could be a faulty display. We'd recommend partnering with our tech team to get your eBike up and running! Here is a contact form!
lectricebikes.com/pages/contact-us
Is it waterproof?
Our eBikes are not waterproof, but the electrical components are rated IP-65 for water-resistance! After a rainy ride, the display and eBike should be wiped down and dried off.
@@LectriceBikesThank you so much! I have another question. Is free shipping available to the USA?
All orders over $100 do ship free within the US. 😎
Well, I just got a 3.0XP and it came with a flat rear tire (that wont hold ANY AIR - and You can hear it leak out) and no instruction manual.. grr..
Hey Jimmy. We're sorry to learn about the flat tire and thank you for making us aware. Please email us at contact@lectricebikes.com with your order number and photos of the flat so that we can process a warranty order.

I think it's great that you are not enclosing printed manuals, and I quickly found the online one. However, you should change your manual on page 14 to confirm the manual is online. Also, indicate the keys are zip tied into the handle bars. A note that the manual is online should be appended to the bike or placed in the box so it's apparent when unpacking. Also, a link to the UA-cam video showing how to unpack the bike would be helpful. @@LectriceBikes
Hi Kay! Thank you so much for your feedback, we'll be sure to share it with the rest of our team. 🙌
I dont have any family or friend. Can i still get it out of the box?
Yes, you might want to open the top but then cut the cardboard down on one side. Lifting it out is cumbersome with all the packing and tape.
My son pulled it out of the box by himself.
How does one know exactly when the axel nuts are torqued to 35N m?
Hi Donna, the torque wrench will click once you've gotten to 35nm of force.
But some torque wrenches use ft lbs so you could mention the conversation on the screen caption. Not sure if u have it somewhere else. I will Google the conversion.
Good info but you’re gonna want to cut back on the amount of times you say you’re gonna want to.
🙄
This is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. The module turns on then off immediately. It won't come back on. The lights don't work either.
hey u have to make sure the key is lined straight vertically with the frame that means its locked and on.
they u have to hold the power button to turn on
to turn the light on and off u have to press and hold the plus button!
this was my same issues but the information i told u fixed it, and also its in the video if u would like to watch it
I'm just warning everyone that this company with rip you off ..They don't stand behind anything they sell..
The accessories they sell aren't compatible with other accessories, but they don't tell you that till you try, then say sorry it's not refundable...
What do you mean they’re not compatible with other accessories?
Could not disagree more. Over the first two weeks I had my bike, I emailed them six times with questions. The next mornings I had six concise answers. GREAT customer service.
