The problem for Ukraine is not that it's losing a bit of territory, it's that it never cedes territory unless it doesn't have a choice. It's a symptom of the state of UA forces.

@@jesseterrell2109it may well be too late already, once congressional support is stalled and momentum turns away from whichever dog the US is backing, it becomes harder to get it restarted as the quick collapse has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. I wonder whether this isn't "a few house members/senators" rather it is a stronger sentiment in influential committees like foreign affairs and the few "rogues" are the mouthpieces. A lot goes on in those corridors of power that few are privy to, while the public bit on Cspan is the theatre component there for the masses to consume

I noticed a lot of videos with women on the front lines recently. Not just as medics or support but sitting on the front lines. Looks like that Ukraine has some manpower problems along with slowing equipment transfers from west.

The attrition has beaten their army up good to the point that the front can only be held in select areas (such as Avdivvka) if other sections are neglected leaving most fronts extra vulnerable to Russian offensive actions.
This isn't something the West can patch up either, as it's impossible for them to supply adequate manpower.
Mercenaries are in pretty limited supply and can only do so much.
More and more forced recruitment videos in Western Ukraine has become more and more common

Instead of trying to prevent a Ukrainian crossing across the Dnieper at all it's ingenious for the Russians to let them cross and inflict more casualties as they try to hold the landing zone with more units.

Russians are going to try and push all the way until they run across some sort of defensible front line like a canal, river or ridge line. They have the initiative, Ukraine is on the back foot and the Russians lose nothing my taking their time in negotiations.

No, that's the price for a dumb simple steel hull HE 155mm shell. The guided ones are dozens of thousands, if not hundreds. Obviously, this is not how much it costs to produce one, that's the price for the buyer. Just tells you how much profit the manufacturers make. I bet, the production cost of one shell is well below 300 USD.

Since 2014 the naziukrainian army constructed and reinforced its trenchs and other fortified defenses .... If not they would not be resisting as they have done ... The Russian Federation troops have been not in a "promenade" ... otherwise right now all Donbass region would be freed.

Ukraine has a sudden collapse or the Russians mobilize another 300,000 reserves for an offensive elsewhere without fortifications.

Bit different... Ukraine threw their best units into the Avdiivka area to prevent a collapse, hence the fierce fighting. It has become another Bakhmut situation. Problem is, it appears they don't have the units left to defend the fronts they had to divert those formations from. Every time they move troops to reinforce somewhere the expose somewhere else, because they are now facing a deficiency in men and material relative to the Russians. So they can hold Avdiivka for now, but they can't hold other places as a result...
