- I am very thankful that I was able to come this far and actually live in the moment where I simply thought as a dream.
To anyone considering transfer: DO IT. It may be a hard process, but it is so worth it regardless of the result. Experience itself made me grow, learn, and develop perseverance, resilience, and patient personally and academically.
Just to emphasize, COLLEGE DOES NOT DEFINE YOU. They do not claim who you are, and they barely know about you except your transcripts and college essays. Thus, even if you got rejected to schools you wanted, please don't let that drag your self worth down. Additionally, it could just not be the fit for you. (like I got waitlisted to BC again!)

Congrats on your acceptance into Cornell!! I’m currently about to enter a public state college as a freshman hoping to transfer and I’d really appreciate any advice you have about registering for classes. It’s hard to know which classes might transfer to private universities (that don’t have clear credit equivalencies posted online). Also I’m unsure how many semesters I should take before applying, how many credits is optimal, etc. I would really really love to hear your thoughts 😄
Thank you!! You should really look into the prerequisite classes that they require from the college you plan to transfer so that when you do transfer, you are not behind and be with your same grade people. It really is harder for transfer because there aren't a lot of resources. I don't know if this will be a help, but if you are pre-med, pre-vet, it is pretty the same in general: 1st year- gen chem 1 &2, cell bio, ecology bio, grad requirement (gen-ed), 2nd year- orgo chem 1 &2, orgo lab/bio lab, writing, stats, ur major classes...etc. I'd recommend about 15-17 credits in general!

Tufts rejects their over-qualified applicants a lot to protect their yield rate.

Same. This would be amazing.
i had 3.75 gpa for both my semester and it was harder for me to apply as a transfer than to apply as senior especially activities-wise. I will make a video about all these in depth and tips to prepare transfer better or like things i wish i knew soon so i could also help you guys out as best as i can!!

omg, I've applied to a few colleges for fall 2022 as a transfer student. I'll probably start getting my results soon starting later next week. Very nervous plus I'm in the final week rn so I'm very close to losing my mind lol. So happy for you and hope you are enjoying your college life at Cornell hopefully I'll hear some great news.

No, I was regular transfer l, which was so much work and they require you more than when u apply as hs senior. however, there are a lot of transfer options at cornell too
Do you think it's easier for international students to get transfer ?what are the main things one should do in the first year ?
I am not sure about the international students since I am not the case. In my opinion, the main things should be focusing on getting a good GPA and having active extracurricular activities regarding your major. GPA counts more than the SAT score u got during ur senior year!!

I went to University of Massachusetts Amherst! I will share more detailed stats in the video asap, but I was pretty much involved in most of it such as varsity sports all season, student council, music, academics, national honor society, etc.

Nope not really. Maybe some schools, but for example, cornell is willing to give you financial aid.
