Ive got the the iphone 15 pro max from an s22 ultra and to be honest, which ever phone we choose to go with from here on out will obviously be enough for everything and anything we do as mobile consumers. Hats off to both ios and android respectively. Both have come a long way and both are now more than capable to handle everyday tasks with ease!! I wont upgrade for a while! Not until the battery starts giving up on me. Maybe thats just it, the only area where I think mobile devices needs to improve and evolve in, the battery.

The slight margin on geekbench single core shows in the rendering and that's about it. They're both pretty equal. If you create a video showing camera comparisons between these two phones, try taking the photos in pro mode and use the raw files instead of the standard pictures because they'll show amazing dslr like quality pictures. Not sure why more people don't realize how great those high mp images are and also using the flash at night. As you say... Peace out
@@NFYT I know what you mean but even on the s9 plus I have, I didn't realize that there is a noticeable quality difference between the two with the normal proceeded imaged being softer than the high quality one. It's just that I've used dslr cameras and the pro mode or raw photos are just as good in my eyes for a smart phone.
The S23 Ultra's 200MP sensor seriously impressed me in Pro Mode when shooting RAW (not ExpertRAW but single RAW straight from sensor). 50MP shots look phenomenal, but the 12MP shots have the best RAW ISO performance I've seen in a phone.

Well yeah the s24 ultra is brand new pre released while the iphone 15 pro max probably has been hanging from a couple months and has more apps, its logical that samsungs turn on at least a bit faster with the SD 8 gen 3, what is impressive should be how the iphone holds off against, even when it came out before it performs pretty much equal.

Fewer holes on the screen, no rounded/wasted edges for visuals (Apple should patent rounded edges cinema mode with notch ;) You didn't mention the superior camera optics (200MP or 50MP quad pixel)
@@DimitarBerberurounded edges has NEVER been an issue in ANY media, and the notch isn’t even a big deal when you have hands down the best unlocking system that also works for payment and works with mask and sunglasses, fingerprint is good but nowhere as good as literally looking your phone and knowing it’ll always work, i’d sacrifice a punch hole for a face ID any day of the week y’all coping at this point. And when you watch media on fullscreen its worse so no one does it because it removes a lot of info of the video EXCEPT if its a video made for phone devices with 21:9 ratio which are very few Also sharp edges is worse because it pokes your hand in one handed use lol
Yep, i did some of those things on my Galaxy fold 2 (which, by the way, turned out to be far from that fragile phone that every one saing it is) and yes this is 4 years old phone that i doesn't have the need to change soon because it is very smooth.
I love doing that on my galaxy phones, one of the reasons I can't switch to iphone. While iphones are amazing, it still doesn't let me speed up animations and also doesn't let me use the 3 button layout, instead forcing me to, as Jerryrigeverything said: "Fruit ninja my way around the phone", as the back button is somehow always in the wrong place. Also, the design on the iphone is very very dated, but that's besides the point (it looks ugly).
@aquss33 or completely remove the buttons from the bottom and use slipping instead of pressing. This makes the UI look very clean. Iphone 6 to 10 the design was nice but now the just make biger and younger cousins of iphone 5. Im not against iPhone, but i really like the usability and freedom of android phones. For example, i dont know if you tried this, my favorite function is when you plug samsung phone to a tv or other display, you have a desktop pc the phone becomes a touchpad or you can combine that with Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
On Android, you can completely disable all animations, which makes it noticeably faster in opening apps, navigating in-app and switching apps. That's a huge advantage of Android. On iOS you can only reduce animation motion, but you still need to wait for the animation to finish before you can interact with the newly-open screen, which is a major drawback in my opinion. This way on Android you can do daily tasks that you often repeat incredibly fast, while iOS hinders you. This has been a flaw of iOS for so many years, I don't get why they won't add a setting that completely removes all animations. Would make iPhones so much faster.

Yes apple uses splash screens for apps which essentially is a fake version of the app, but so does Android. You can see this when opening the youtube app for example, or the settings app. In this case although they were extremely close apple was just a tad bit faster at opening the actual camera, but it's miliseconds of difference so doesn't matter in the real world. But i like splash screen cuz they actually fool you into thinking tge phone is faster when it's the same

Amazing release by samsung. The only thing that stops me from switching is the ecosystem. I've wasted ~$400 last year trying out the samsung ecosystem. Sold my apple watch, airpods, and traded in my iphone for a s23 utlra, galaxy buds 2 pro and galaxy watch 6 classic. Samsung, in my opinion, has ALREADY surpassed apple when it comes to the phone. It is so much better in every way (not faceid though) This is not arguable. The only thing samsung is behind on is everything else. Their watch was HELL to work with. Everything lags. Even something as simple as opening settings makes it lag. If you look at the overall picture and look at how seamless the Apple ecosystem works together, it's a nobrainer. If you have a lot of apple products, then get the iphone. If not, don't waste your money on an iPhone. Absolutely get the s24 ultra.
I gotta say I switched up and back from Samsung and iPhone But no matter how powerful and loaded iPhone is it feels like it’s just a fancy brick phone to me makes calls messages and that’s it nothing else But Samsung with android and its own features it just feels like a mini computer that I can almost do anything with it. Awesome performance from both phones. One thing I've noticed from your test is that the iPhone tends to "cap" the scrolling speed? It seems like you're able to scroll more of the feeds on the S24u. It actually makes the iPhone look smoother, but practically it means the S24u can cover more of the feeds more quickly
adobe rush is extremely optimized towards iOS but still s24 finishes seconds of gap means impressive. I think it will definitely beat iPhone 15 pro max in other video editing software

The processor in the iphone is great but its ability to dissipate heat drastically slows down the performance. Yep, i did some of those things on my Galaxy fold 2 (which, by the way, turned out to be far from that fragile phone that every one saing it is) and yes this is 4 years old phone that i doesn't have the need to change soon because it is very smooth.
I love doing that on my galaxy phones, one of the reasons I can't switch to iphone. While iphones are amazing, it still doesn't let me speed up animations and also doesn't let me use the 3 button layout, instead forcing me to, as Jerryrigeverything said: "Fruit ninja my way around the phone", as the back button is somehow always in the wrong place. Also, the design on the iphone is very very dated, but that's besides the point (it looks ugly).
@aquss33 or completely remove the buttons from the bottom and use slipping instead of pressing. This makes the UI look very clean. Iphone 6 to 10 the design was nice but now the just make biger and younger cousins of iphone 5. Im not against iPhone, but i really like the usability and freedom of android phones. For example, i dont know if you tried this, my favorite function is when you plug samsung phone to a tv or other display, you have a desktop pc the phone becomes a touchpad or you can combine that with Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
Looks very good for the S24 ultra. And this is without any updates and its a pre release.
And even with animations turned on, which I always turn completely off, then beast mode!

On Android, you can completely disable all animations, which makes it noticeably faster in opening apps, navigating in-app and switching apps.
That's a huge advantage of Android.
On iOS you can only reduce animation motion, but you still need to wait for the animation to finish before you can interact with the newly-open screen, which is a major drawback in my opinion.
This way on Android you can do daily tasks that you often repeat incredibly fast, while iOS hinders you.
This has been a flaw of iOS for so many years, I don't get why they won't add a setting that completely removes all animations.

It could cause long term screen damage since it doesn’t dip below 60hz, you can see for yourself if you turn on “show refresh rate” in dev options😅

Yes apple uses splash screens for apps which essentially is a fake version of the app, but so does Android. You can see this when opening the youtube app for example, or the settings app. In this case although they were extremely close apple was just a tad bit faster at opening the actual camera, but it's miliseconds of difference so doesn't matter in the real world. But i like splash screen cuz they actually fool you into thinking tge phone is faster when it's the same

Comparing apps written in different programing languages is like comparing apples to peaches. Both will get you fed, but they are not the same. Java compared to IOS is far different than even comparing apples to peaches. Also opening some basic apps like settings? Is that your idea of testing the speed and performance? I like the S24 Ultra isn't missing parts of the viewable screen. Phone case should make the sharp corners on the S24 Ultra less of an issue.

Amazing release by samsung.
The only thing that stops me from switching is the ecosystem. I've wasted ~$400 last year trying out the samsung ecosystem. Sold my apple watch, airpods, and traded in my iphone for a s23 utlra, galaxy buds 2 pro and galaxy watch 6 classic.
Samsung, in my opinion, has ALREADY surpassed apple when it comes to the phone. It is so much better in every way (not faceid though) This is not arguable.
The only thing samsung is behind on is everything else.
Their watch was HELL to work with. Everything lags. Even something as simple as opening settings makes it lag.
If you look at the overall picture and look at how seamless the Apple ecosystem works together, it's a nobrainer. If you have a lot of apple products, then get the iphone. If not, don't waste your money on an iPhone. Absolutely get the s24 ultra.

Awesome performance from both phones. One thing I've noticed from your test is that the iPhone tends to "cap" the scrolling speed? It seems like you're able to scroll more of the feeds on the S24u. It actually makes the iPhone look smoother, but practically it means the S24u can cover more of the feeds more quickly
adobe rush is extremely optimized towards iOS but still s24 finishes seconds of gap means impressive. I think it will definitely beat iPhone 15 pro max in other video editing software

The processor in the iphone is great but its ability to dissipate heat drastically slows down the performance.
