A Diesel Engine is so much better. Those Old Gas Engines give a lot of trouble with today's gasoline. Those Old Tractors were originally designed for Leaded Gasoline. This gasoline they make now messes up the carburetor on those old Tractors.
I have never seen any of them give very much trouble mostly it is from neglect of changing fluids or bad gasoline or water in the gas and a tune up once in a while.

We have a 1940 9 N that My Grandfather bought when My Dad was about 10 or 11 years old.
