im not a native english speaker and i could understand pretty much half of it without the subtitles, this is quite a feat, not on my part, but on hers i liked this channel, im subbing, the community here seems to be top notch
Hi Aisling, so amazing to see this and you! I am Cydney's mum (I heard she got in touch with you recently) and I remember just how determined and brilliant you were as a little girl. You have got a pretty wonderful mum and dad whose love for you made them want the best for you, like most parents, I suppose. Do you remember that we went on a few outings when you were at Donnington? Thorpe Park, Lion King? Great fun. It's great to see you all grown up and still making a difference. I hope we get to meet again one day. Love Sian.
Hi Sian, Great to hear from you thank you for your lovely comments. Of course I remember you and all the outings we shared together. My parents have definitely made me into the person I am today and please forgive the cliche but I defiantly would not be here without them. Please message me on Facebook would the great to catch up and meet you soon. Love Aisling
Aisling I love you!! Do you think you have always had your determination and positive approach or was it something that has grown through the challenges and stigma you have faced?? Maybe a combination!? Dottie xxx
Good question! I primarily think that due to the amount of negative connotations and personal fights that I have encountered over the past 21 years, it has made me more aware of how not to be treated, and work out what's right and what's wrong. However, I also believe that being around a very, what might be called stubborn, family- that you adopt their beliefs, ways of thinking and how to deal with issues. Hope that makes sense, but if you want to find out more I might be speaking in Southampton about this exact topic, so feel free to come along! xx
I do but unfortunately I do not use it that much! Have done other talks about disability since this and you can find them on here if you search my name. Will hope to do more in the future after my degree.
What a wonderful woman and blessing Aisling is to me and to all of us. I have a disability called spina bifida I was born with and in a wheelchair.
